good morning, i'm kendis gibson. >> i'm diane macedo. here's the top headlines we're following this morning on "world news now." we have breaking news of an earthquake jarring a major oil hub in the plains. officials in cushing, oklahoma are assessing the damage. they're now focussing on possible damage to pipelines. hillary clinton received the all-clear yet again after reviewing thousands of additional e-mail, and the fbi announced she will not face charges. donald trump firing back with his claim that the system is rigged. full report coming up. and closing arguments are expected today in the trial against justin ross harris. that's the atlanta failure accused of leaving his son in a hot car to die. the defense wrapped up last week without harris taking the stand.

gasoline is flowing in the pipeline from the gulf coast to the new york city area after being shut down a week ago after a fire in alabama. those are the top stories we're following on this monday, november 7th. from abc news, this is "world news now." good morning, everyone, we're going to start with that a breaking news and concerns this morning as a major oil hub is shaken by a powerful earthquake. >> it was centered in curbing, oklahoma. the powerful 5.0 magnitude quake hit before 8:00 p.m. central sunday. >> officials say there's been quite a bit of damage with just a few minor injuries. the quake sent some of the town's nearly 8,000 residents racing from their homes. >> i came flying up off the couch because i felt it all shaking. my aunt went and grabbed my cousin off our bunk bed and we ran outside. and the after shakes were just crazy because they were just like -- yeah. >> here's why this is getting a lot of attention this morning.

as we mentioned, it's a major oil hub for the entire country, and it's home to one of the world's largest oil storage terminals. so far, no problems have been reported. >> keep in mind, this was the 19th earthquake in oklahoma in just the past week, and that has curbing's assistant city manager, jeremy frazier, very concerned. >> caller: i can say that i've experienced two earthquakes within one year, which prior to that, i don't have any memory of having experienced them in such regularity, so i'm very concerned from a personal perspective as well as what this may mean going forward. >> just has a vivid description, too, of what the quake felt like. these quakes have been traced to waste water and oil and gas injected into the ground. >> rattled by thousands of earthquakes in recent years, and this was the fifth most powerful in the state. >> lucky there was not more serious injuries and nobody killed. >> some said it was like an explosion under their homes.

we turn now to the final scramble for votes on the eve of election day, of course, following a november surprise. >> so after causing a furrer by telling congress the fbi was looking into e-mails involving hillary clinton, the fbi director, james comey, delivered a stunning announcement, standing by the decision not to file charges. it's your voice, your vote. here's mary bruce. >> reporter: from october surprise to election eve reprieve, fbi director james comey cleared hillary clinton again of criminal acts involving her e-mails. now he's telling congressional leaders based on our review, we have not changed our conclusions that we expressed in july. when the director called clinton's handling of sensitive e-mails extremely careless, but said --

>> no charges are appropriate in this case. >> reporter: donald trump reacted in frustration. >> and now it's up to the american people to deliver justice at the ballot box on november 8th. >> clinton had no public comment. she was in another star-studded campaign stop. this time with lebron james. >> i was around the community that was, like, our vote doesn't matter. but it really does. it really, really does. >> campaigning in a black church in philadelphia, clinton sounded a note of finality. >> everything you care about. everything i care about and i've worked for is at stake. >> reporter: there was more good news for her campaign. a new abc news national tracking poll now has her with a five-point lead over donald trump. both candidates are on barn storming binges before facing voters. >> first thing you should do is get rid of clinton. >> this is one of these elections that really is a crossroads election in our country.

>> reporter: their long and winding road coming to an end on tuesday. mary bruce, abc news, washington. and president obama is campaigning for clinton down to the wire. the president will make stops in michigan and new hampshire today and then join the first lady for a joint rally with clinton and her family in pennsylvania tonight. at a rally in florida yesterday, he took aim at trump's character. >> there's been so much negativity and so much noise and so much distraction and innuendo and so many rumors and false statements. but i want you to focus on this election and its candidates, because the truth is, the choice choont be simpler or clearer. >> the president went on to mock trump over a report that his own campaign apparently had taken away his access to twitter. >> as mary mentioned, clinton is still holding a slight lead in the polls. >> and nick silver -- nate silver, that is, breaks it down by the numbers.

>> so we show about a three-point lead nationally for clinton. she's about a 2-1 favorite. the electoral college map is less solid for clinton than it was for obama four years ago. four years ago, obama was ahead in three states, but clinton has about 270. so she's one state away from potentially losing the electoral college. you'd rather be in her shoes than donald trump's, but it's not terribly safe position. >> nate silver will be on "gma" later today if were insight on that. >> tomorrow, count on our team for election results. coverage starts at 7:00 eastern time and i believe it ends thursday at 9:00 a.m. just keeps on going. >> we'll probably see you friday. >> yeah, uh-huh. the city of philadelphia is breaking news from philadelphia, janet reno has died. she faced criticism for her handling of the deadly waco

texas seizure. she is a florida native.. she unsuccessfully ran for governor in 2002. she died from complications from parkinson's disease. a deputy sheriff has been killed in a dispute between neighbors in florida. deputy saunders died and deputy smallwood is in critical condition following the shooting.. the deputies were shot ambush style and didn't even have a chance to return fire. the suspect is now in candidate. jury selection begins today in a high row file hate crime case in charles ton, south carolina. dylan roof charged with killing nine people at an african-american church in downtown charleston, he faces hate crime charges and could get the death penalty if convicted. picking a jury is expected to take weeks. and robert durst facing

arraignment today in los angeles for allegedly murdering a friend 16 years ago. he gained notoriety featuring "the jinx" casting suspicion on him for several crimes. he was held in new orleans on federal weapons charges until now. a real estate agent held without bond after confessing to four murders from 2002. he appear before a judge this weekend, but said very little. >> sir, just understand the family is here and anything you with wish to say at this time? >> not at this time, sir. >> last week, a woman was found chained inside a container on colub's rural property. the remains of her boyfriend and those of another person were also discovered on the property. they extended the search to other nearby properties that he currently or used to own or currently owns. anti--isis forces are now advancing on another isis strong hold. the kurdish and arab troops are now in raqqa, the headquarters

for isis and syria. they are getting support from air strikes by the u.s.-led coalition, and as with mosul and iraq, the operation is expected to take weeks. in hong kong, meanwhile, thousands of people took to the streets to protest china's intervention in the city's political process. china barred two democratically elected lawmakers from taking office. the two have refused to pledge their allegiance to beijing and support independence for hong kong. they said it undermines hong kong's autonomy which was promised to them when the british colony was returned to china in 1997. so you remember the two australians who pranked their way into a north korean golf tournament? you see them here, pretending to be members of the team, complete with fake green jackets, well, now north korea's inviting them to return. >> inge sifrting, really, that they come back and apologize on national television. now, they say that is not going

it's been 511. >> wow. >> it's been quite a long time, and those are some of the numbers our team tallied up breaking down to show us where this campaign shook out, so let's start with that campaign pace. since entering the race, clinton visited 37 states plus d.c. and puerto rico while trump visited 44 and also district of columbia, and don't forget about the trips to scot land and mexico.land and mexico. by the end of tonight, trump will have given 302 speeches, just a few dozen more than hillary clinton. now we see the candidates drill in on the same state, and in the final month, both candidates spent the most time in florida, clinton spending eight days there, and trump ten, including one today. there's the fund raising where we really see a big difference. trump attended tweak 50-60 fundraisers while clinton went to over 350, and that obviously affects how much money they raise. clinton raising nearly two times more than donald trump, and how are they spending that money? well, a good portion of it is on ads, an area where the clinton team beat trump. according to analysis, clinton and pacs support hillary clinton

a lot of developments. >> reporter: good morning, diane and kendis. the clinton campaign is pleased with the announcement, but no word from the candidate herself, but she's focused on closing arguments to voters in critical, final hours. as she crisscrossed the country over the weekend, clinton's celebrity friends joined her on the campaign trail making her pitch. beyonce and lebron james on the trail with her. hours ago, she had a helping hand from james taylor in new hampshire where she said there was a clear choice in the election. here is what she had to say. >> this election is a moment of reckoning. it is a choice between division or unity, between strong, steady leadership, or a loose cannon who could put everything at risk. so, my friends, this is one of these elections that really is a crossroads election in our country. >> reporter: now clinton will continue to talk about that crossroad when she hits three states later today. she'll be traveling to michigan, north carolina, and will make

e-mails in eight days. you can't do it, folks. hillary clinton is guilty. she knows it. >> reporter: as trump's march to election day winds down, his supporters out in force. in iowa, excitement in the air. >> two days away. we will get the change you've been waiting for for your entire life. >> reporter: in nevada, a scare, the republican nominee spotting a protester in the crowd. >> we have one of those guys from the hillary clinton campaign. >> reporter: less than a minute later, secret service agents rushing the stage. trump ducking down, security guards and police jumping barricades to calm the scene. sources tell abc news law enforcement jumped into action after someone shouted gun. minutes later, trump was back. >> nobody said it was going to be easy for us. but we will never be stopped. never, ever be stopped. >> reporter: trump's son, don jr., and a top campaign aide soon retweeting this message. hillary ran away from rain today. trump is back on stage minutes after assassination attempt. but it was no assassination attempt.

police determined the protester was unarmed and he was later released. also in nevada, republicans alarmed by images like this, a long line of latino voters snaking through this polling station in las vegas. >> it's been reported that certain key democratic polling locations in clark county were kept open for hours and hours beyond closing time to bus and bring democratic voters in. folks, it's a rigged system. >> reporter: it's common practice that as long as you're in line when polls close, you get to cast your ballot. this weekend, a marathon, trump crisscrossing the country. we started at 10:00 a.m. in tampa, and it's now 1:00 a.m. on the east coast. the campaign slate for 15 hours. in denver, trump supporters telling me they're excited to take down hillary clinton. >> there's still a bunch that i think that won't admit until election day that they're going to vote trump.

coalition fighting isis is now setting sights on the syria city of raqqa. the city is the so-called capital of isis in syria. sources are moving in from the north,.capturing several small villages already. capturing raqqa is necessary to disrupt the group's ability to carry out terrorist attacks in the u.s. and other countries. the battle for raqqa could force them to divert from mosul, and the operation there has been going on for a few weeks and slowed as iraqi forces push into more densely populated areas. however, yesterday, the government troops opened a safe passage for civilians trapped in mosul to leave. trucks and buses transported more than 300 families. back here in the u.s. and a wild shootout in georgia between sheriff deputies and a suspect leaves one deputy dead and another in critical condition authorities in peach county near macon were responding to a call

for a dispute between neighbors. investigators say the suspect opened fire on deputies when they got out of their vehicle in his driveway. other deputies responding to the scene exchanged gunfire with the suspect, hitting him, and he's now in the hospital. the deceased deputy is identified as 41-year-old patrick sondron. gasoline is, once again, flowing through a pipeline between the gulf coast and new york city. an explosion and fire in alabama one week ago altered the flow raising prices in the northeast. colonial pipeline says it takes three days for gasoline to arrive at the new jersey terminal. this pipeline can carry 1.3 million barrels of gas a day. and in football yesterday, the indianapolis colts got a little help, you could say, beating the green bay packers. give an assist to this squirrel, which made its second appearance of the game. >> second. >> late in the third quarter. >> so the packers were in control on the colts' 12 yard line when the squirrel ran across the end zone behind the defense.

all died after they came under fire while entering a jordanian military base. the incident could have been a result of miscommunication. real estate agent todd kohlhepp held on bond after confessing to four murders from 2002. todd kohlhepp appeared before a judge this weekend. last week, a woman found chained inside a container on his rural property. the remains of her boyfriend and those of another person were also discovered on the property. the sheriff said the investigation is extending to other properties he currently owns or once owned. a desperate search is underway in california for a missing mother who vanished jogging near her home. this morning, a reward for leads in that case is now growing. here's abc's adrian bankert. >> reporter: the frantic search, a wife and mother of two vanishing without a trace. the reward now $50,000 to bring sherri pepini home safely.
