>> breaking news, hundreds of students from several hives are skipping class right now and marching through the streets. this morning, students continued up market street to embarcadero and over the main group, now arriving at justin herman plaza and beyond it to the pier 39 area. they were kind of crippling traffic language market and they went through the financial district more problems there,

and, now, it looks like they are on one side of the embarcadero but that is obviously causing problems, as well. our producer and photographer is watching this by phone. what is happening? >> i am at market and several hundred are walking down market to justin herman plaza and i am not sure where the constitutes are from. i don't know in they came from city hall i started the morning with a group of 100 students from a high school that marched to city hall and they got there, there were nows of students from different high schools, mission high school, the school the arts and they sat this, there were so many, they were spilling out and police had to close down the streets. they closed down the transof city hall and the students stayed for half an hour

>> from abc7, breaking news. >> right now, sky 7 continues to be over the main group of student protesters at jefferson and mason in the san francisco wharf area. we will zoom in and look at some of the student protesters. hundreds walking out of the school today from several san francisco high schools marching to city hall and down market street and now a large group of them on the embarcardero making their way up to the wharf. so far though are chanting and hold scenes. they have remained peaceful. we have seen some running. we have seen some walking on the tracks. where the light rail, the streetcars might be but no vie hen. they are manning and walking peacefully. at one point confronting police and not a confrontation, they met up with police what directed them off the main embarcadero

and now are atover son and mason. >> yesterday we trapped a bunch of east bay will schools doing the same thing and now it appears san francisco student want to get in on the protest. a school in walnut creek has been protesting in the same way. this is affecting more people because they have been all over the financial district. and now the wharf area. can you not get an it if you are stuck. police are aware of where the students have been heading and are try to gather them to keep them safe as far as traffic, though, it is another problem. if you are near this area, get out of it. try and get home a different way >> as for the message we have seen a variety, the rain bow black for lgbt issues, we see the mexican flag and signs that say "not our president," a variety but they are marching and chanting.

and it has been peaceful. >> but descriptive to traffic. we will check with alexis smith and littest. >> this is causing a headache on the streets through san francisco. they were at jefferson and mason for kuwait some time idle at the intersection and now they are manufacturing enon jefferson through the fishermen's wharf area. in vehicles are getting through including mass transit. they were on market and get an update from muni and normal bus service has been resume on market and the police activity has cleared from market only. there are long delays on the embarcadero and inbound on the bay bridge a ripple affect on them. as well. we will watch this on sky 7. we hoped they would not go on the highways including the bay bridge and they have kept off so far, but it does not many there is not a residual affect.
