us a little while ago. it happened during a birthday party at the senior center before 5:00 this afternoon. abc7 news reporter lilian kim is live from the scene with the latest. lilian? >> reporter: eric, saw knee shaw police say a boy was in the car charging his phone when it somehow went into reverse. the toyota camry ended up off the pavement and on to the grass at the venicia senior center. in its path two boys, a 4-year-old and 13-year-old. >> the 4-year-old had major injuries and he was traps ferred to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries and the 13-year-old is still at the hospital to my knowledge. >> reporter: a 12-year-old boy yeah was in the car charging his phone when the car began moving. officers don't know the speed in which it traveled or how it went in reverse. all of the children involved were guests of a birthday party. >> it is important to remember
