live, where you live this is abc7 news. >> the bay area thanksgiving get away is here. here is a look from our emeryville camera. traffic is building on interstate 80. specific it to be more jammed this afternoon as folks leave town after work. experts say this will be the busiest year for thanksgiving travel in 10 years. it is thanksgiving eve thanks for joining us. i am reggie aqui. >> i am kristen sze. it is slow already. in addition to larger clouds we have a shift in travel plans. you need to be aware of them. we have coverage with alexis smith keeping an eye on the roads. meteorologist mike nicco is track the next storm. we will start with amy

>> i'm thankful for you have a good holiday. if you travel out of mineta san jose international airport, you could be in for a surprise if you thought you would beat the crowds there will be a 15% jump in travelers during the thanksgiving day travel period compared to last year running through tuesday. today is predicted the busiest travel day at san jose. how are the rest the freeways shaping up? >> we have alexis smith. what are you seeing? >> back to this morning, reggie, you knew about this, a look at northbound 880 from sky 7. at 6:30 this "good morning washington" allen has were shut down for three hours. unfortunately it was a deadly collision involving a pedestrian. all the lanes are back open. it created a big backup that cleared after 9:00. we will phelps over to the traffic maps to show you how the stretch is looking.

developing in our valleys, and mid-to-upper 30's and upper 30s around palo alto and redwood city and low 40s to the coast. at look on friday you can see the scattered showers, and mainly in the north bay and near the coast. heading overnight you can see the moderate to turning to light rain moving in through saturday morning. by 7:00, and waves of showers as we head through saturday into the evening and another push coming in, on sunday, and at least it looks that way right new. the sunday is more iffy than saturday. two-thirds of an inch in the south bay and three-quarters around the bay and more than 1 employee in the north bay. the storm is going to have more rain. it will not be so powerful as the one today so it is a "1". at the beaches, that is tradition for thanksgiving day for some people, watch out for dangerous surf through tomorrow evening. >> now, designated survivor, a lot of you are watching the show
