help the family of an injured south san francisco police officer has reached more than $87,000 in one day. a 12 year veteran is in critical condition with a major head injury. he was chasing a 28-year-old who had taken off on a skateboard when he was approached for causing a disturbance. the suspect hit the officer with the skateboard knocking him unconscious. >> this is the first time in a long time we have been hit with a tragedy of this magnitude. it's just comforting for us as members of the police department to know we're right there at our brother's side. >> the suspect who has a criminal history is now booked on suspicion of attempted murder. go to abc7news.com for a link to help the officer's family. all lanes in central express

way are closed after a deadly car crash happened east of north bernardo avenue. an eastbound driver lost control and hit a tree in the center median. bystanders got one person out of a car and firefighters got the o other out. both died on the season. on the bay bridge traffic is moving after two crashes brought it to a halt earlier today. the first crash happened on the upper deck just before 3 p.m. involving six weeks. while emergency crews dealt with that accident, another happened near the fremont avenue exit involving four cars. the toll plaza median lights were slowing traffic down. no one was hurt in either accident. in cuba tonight nine days of official mourning have begun. next sunday fidel castro's ashes will be buried. tonight there's mixed emotions about the death of the long time

suv. a retailer is getting a jump by kicking off deals a day early. target is launching cyber deals tomorrow and customers can get deals in brick and mortar stores as well. not to be outdone walmart launched the deals yesterday and they run through december 2nd. macy's says a website glitch affected shoppers looking for black prifriday sales. there was a count down clock. macy's says the website issue is resolved now and blames a high volume of orders. they forecasted yesterday's online sales would hit a record high surpassing $3 billion. today is small business saturday, a day to shop small. abc7 was in the west portal neighborhood. shop owners were confident customers who braved the weather
