live where you live this is abc7 news. >> panic at an east bay movie theater after a man is shot by a security guard. good evening. i'm eric thomas. one person has been taken to the hospital after an altercation at the movie theater in concord about 7:00 tonight. it forced an evacuation. abc7 news reporter is live with the latest developing details. surge -- sergio? >> the shooting happened outside the building here, but a lot of theater goers thought the shots came from inside the movie multi-plex and that's what caused so much panic. >> for the theater goers it was a bit of a panic. >> the security chased after them with the gun held in their hand. the suspect ran toward the parking lot and after that we heard a shot and then 102nds

after we heard a shot. >> one person was rushed to the hospital. investigators say it all happened because of some kind of exchange between the guard and the man who was shot. >> the suspect ran out of the theater and the security guard chased after him. at some point the suspect threatened the security guard. >> that's when the security guard opened fire hitting the man several times. police say his injuries are not life-threatening. thisy also tell us thisy have not found weapons on him. the security guard is cooperating with investigators. there were several 9-1-1 calls from theater goers and it triggered a massive police response. >> it comes from our mind that this could be an active shooter in the theater. we are worried for the people inside. >> the man who was shot is not charged with anything, but there is a police officer posted at the hospital as a precaution. in concord, abc7 news. >> we have new details about a missing mother from redding who was found beaten and bound on thanksgiving day.

she disappeared nearly four weeks ago. officers found her 150 miles away in yolo county on thursday. abc news has learned the shasta county sheriff is looking into past incidents. they issued 20 search warrants looking at bank accounts across two counties. they are also looking into her previous marriage and divorce. there was no reason to believe her story after she was beaten and treated for her injuries. good morning america has more about the expanding investigation at 7:00 a.m. here on abc7. >> three people rushed to the hospital after a fire in saratoga. it started at a home at 8:30 tonight. firefighters rescued one person from inside and they knocked down the fire in a half an hour. firefighters will stay there through the night keeping an eye on flare ups. >> a recount is moving forward

trying to profit from the incident. they have demanded the equivalent of $73,000 and there is a deadline set for tomorrow. thisy have reportedly compromised muni's payroll and e-mail servers. the underground machine had the machine you hacked. muni said they are investigating the incident. bart appears to be losing money on the people mover that carries passengers between the coliseum station and oakland international airport. bart projected they would net $2 million in profits since the link opened. the east bay times reports that the airport connector lost $860,000 and ridership is down by more than 4% late this summer. bart's spokesperson said the connector is breaking even. to nate investigators in solano county are searching
