night. two other men were taken to the hospital. one is in serious condition. the other is in critical. police say they arrested three suspects about a block away. they recovered a gun and other evidence from the suspect's car. >> the suspect vehicle that was stopped had at least three okay pa occupants in it. wire n at this point no ongoing threat to the public. >> a lot of people were at that shopping center at the time of the shooting. but fortunately none of them was hurt. developing news in castro valley. the search is on for the gunman who shot and killed a 37-year-old man. the shooting happened near castro valley high school around 6:00 last night. authorities say the victim is a well respected union construction worker. they're trying to find out why someone would want to kill him. this morning we're hearing for the first time from the husband of sherri papini, the woman found alive three weeks after being kidnapped. and boy was she in bad shape.

the 34-year-old was found safe thanksgiving morning. this morning her husband keith released a statement to "good morning america" describing the moment he first saw her in the hospital. he says her face was covered in bruises ranging from yellow to black because of repeated beatings, the bridge of her nose broken. her body of 87 pounds was covered in multicolored bruises, severe burns, red rashes and chain markings. papini went on to say that his wife's long blond hair had been chopped off and that she had been branded. he thanked investigators and volunteers and asked for privacy. we'll have more on the story in the next half hour and we have posted the full statement on abc7news.com. developing news out of antioch. county health officials trying to determine what is behind the illness that killed three people and sent fiv others to the hospital. they all ate the thanksgiving meal served at the american legion recall on west 6 and e

streets. katie uhe tis has pop more. >> every other friday, they give bags of food out. >> reporter: the shirley jones praises the work done to feed people at the american legion hall, an annual free thanksgiving meal fed some 835 people thursday. >> about the fact that they got sick this particular day when they have been doing it for years. >> reporter: by saturday, sutter delta medical center had admitted eight patients reporting nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. three people died, four were treated and released, nand one remains hospitalized. >> from our experience, it's usually something that is foodborne. >> reporter: health services is investigating. >> all of the patients are associated with the same living facility, so it's unclear if the illness is related to the thanksgiving day event or to their living situation. >> reporter: the county contacted state agents who oversee group homes.

artan was a somali immigrant and student at ohio state. police say that he ran down students in his car yesterday and then jumped out and started stabbing people with a butcher knife. according to law enforcement officials, artan posted facebook, quote, i can't take it anymore. just three minutes before the first call for help. 11 people were injured, but police say without a campus police officer's act of heroism, if could have been a lot worse. >> our office was on scene in less than a minute and he ended the situation in less than a minute. he engaged the suspect and eliminated the threat. >> investigators believe the suspect who died after being shot by an officer also posted on facebook saying, quote, if you want us muslims to stop carrying lone wolf attacks, then make peace. one of san francisco's top high schools is making headlines this morning and not for its academics. according to the examiner, there have been reports ever racially chged hate graffiti at lowell high school. it was found in bathrooms, bull

now mike has a check of weather. great idea would be grab something warmer this morning. here is a look from our exploratory camera. you can see the stars over san francisco this morning. and the wind, it's making it a little cooler than it feels in some areas. but also keeping the fog away. not seeing any reports of fog right now. wind 19 to nearly 28 miles per hour up on mt. tam. a little breezy this morning. those will taper this afternoon under a bright and blue sky. stray shower tomorrow and a warm weekend and significantly cooler next week possible. upper fifth 50s to low 60s is our spread today. tonight, upper 30s inland, and low to upper 40s around the bay. and the accuweather 7 day forecast, chance of a stray shower tomorrow. what it will really do is take more of a look at temperatures that will be dropping tomorrow in to the upper 50s to low 60s. and then as we get into thursday, it will be cool again
