control mode announcing details of what is another massive cyberattack. >> 1 billion accounts compromised making it the worst breach in history. it's larger and different than an attack back in 2014 when 500 million accounts were compromised. the company is now urging users to take precautions. rebecca jarvis has more. more than a billion yahoo! accounts hacked. the tech giant revealing a third party, unauthorized stole massive amounts of user data in 2013, potentially including names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth and even in some cases security questions and answers. this is the second time this year yahoo has announced a significant breech. in september, the company disclosing a separate incident involving 500 million user accounts. yahoo! telling abc news, they are notifying potentially affected users and have taken steps to secure their accounts, including requiring users to change their passwords. the fbi says they are aware and in contact with yahoo!. that notification process has just begun, so many people might

not even be aware if they were part of the attack. yahoo! recommends anyone with a yahoo! e-mail address should immediately change their password and security question and beware of suspicious e-mails. rebecca jarvis, abc news, new york. rebecca, thank you. the security breach may hurt verizon's huge deal to purchase yahoo!. earlier this year, the communications giant agreed to purchase yahoo! for $4.8 billion. verizon says they are reevaluating that deal that has not been finalized. according to "the wall street journal," verizon is leaving all options on the table, including renegotiating the price or even walking away. turning overseas now. a cease fire deal is back on in aleppo hours after it collapsed. evacuation of thousands are that are trapped in the city are expected to receive help. they have been posting messages for help. rebel forces will also be

in damage control mode announcing details of what is another massive cyberattack. >> 1 billion accounts compromised making it the worst breach in history. it's larger and different than an attack back in 2014 when 500 million accounts were compromised. the company is now urging users to take precautions. abc's rebecca jarvis has more. >> reporter: more than a billion yahoo accounts hacked. the tech giant revealing a third party, unauthorized stole massive amounts of user data in august, 2013, potentially including names, e-mail addresses, phone numbers, dates of birth and even in some cases security questions and answers. this is the second time this year yahoo! has announced a significant breech. in september, the company disclosing a separate incident involving 500 million user accounts. yahoo! telling abc news, they are notifying potentially affected users and have taken steps to secure their accounts, including requiring users to change their passwords. the fbi says they are aware and in contact with yahoo!.

that notification process has just begun, so many people might not even be aware if they were part of the attack. yahoo! recommends anyone with a yahoo! e-mail address should immediately change their password and security question and beware of suspicious e-mails. rebecca jarvis, abc news, new york. rebecca, thank you. the security breach may hurt verizon's huge deal to purchase yahoo!. earlier this year, the communications giant agreed to purchase yahoo! for $4.8 billion. verizon says they are reevaluating that deal that has not been finalized. according to "the wall street journal," verizon is leaving all options on the table, including renegotiating the price or even walking away. turning overseas now. a cease fire deal is back on in aleppo hours after it collapsed. evacuation of thousands are that are trapped in the city are today. they have been posting several messages for help. rebel forces will also be removed from the city. the original cease fire brokered tuesday collapsed less than 24
