there. the deadline to sign up for insurance through covered california has been extended. you now have until saturday. the original deadline was set for tonight but increase demand prompted the attention. people won't have their coverage begin until february 1st or march 1st. test of wills continue between the bureaucrats and disrupters. >> it's truly amazing. it appears to be a stand off. we caught one of the self-driving cars still out on the streets today. the flak began when uber announced some drivers would be picked up in self-driving cars starting yesterday. the dmv fired off a letter saying they were illegally testing the cars on public roads without a required permit.

the dmv demanded they stop running the cars or face legal action. so far they have ignored the demand for a response. uber has ignored our questions about whether it pulled the cars off the road or not. however, we spotted this self-driving uber car this morning driving in san francisco. uber said it doesn't need a permit to use the cars because a driver is behind the wheel monitoring the car. uber says they worked well in pennsylvania. the dmv says so what. none of that matters. california law require a permit. devry university has agreed to pay $100 million it misled students about prospects for jobs after graduation. half the money will be distributed to impacted students. the federal trade commission sued devry this january accusing it of falsely claiming that 90% of its students got jobs within

to who is responsible. here is abc 7 with the latest. >> reporter: tech giant yahoo a massive cyber attack with one billion users aaccount. hackers stealing massive accounts of data including name, e-mail addresses, phone numbers and dates of birth even security questions and answers opinion yahoo saying they are notifying potentially affected users and have taken steps to secure their accounts including requiring users to change their passwords. it's not the only step account holders can take. >> how do yahoo users protect themselves going forward? >> come up with some sort of secondary authentication. yahoo has something called yahoo account key. when you want to log in, you have to get a code from yahoo. >> reporter: that makes it harder for the bad guys to get into your e-mail. for yahoo users it's the second time this year they have announced a significant breech that may impact them.
