eshoo wanted to see how bad the damage was, all brought on by the rain in recent weeks. nearly 14 inches have fallen in la honda this monday alone. she came to tour the area, specifically this neighborhood where the landslides have caused major damage to five how many times, three of which have been red tagged. this hear has seen landslides before, and homeowners insurance doesn't cover landslide, but congresswoman eshoo is hoping she can get assistance. >> i've helped homeowners that lost their homes before, so i want to inspect it, and i'm going to be as creative and as helpful as i possibly can. our homes are our sanctuaries. they're everything to us. it's your home, it's your everything. >> reporter: governor brown has also put in a declaration of

l.e.d. street lights are impacting our wildlife. researchers in the uk look at the lights like you see in san jose and san francisco. predatory beetles are drawn to them, and they could draw more predator insects that kill off other species. the scientists found that dimming the lights 50% and turning them off from midnight to 4:00 in the morning could significantly reduce the predator population. a species of bumble bee will stay off the endangered species list because of an executive order by president trump. the rusty-patched bumble bee was steaded to be added to the list on friday, but the president has put a 60-day hold on all pending federal regulations so they can be reviewed. a ruling is expected on march 21st environmentalists says it

we have an update on breaking news. the emergency spillway at the oroville dam in butte county is expected to fail. to be clear, this is not the dam that's expected to fail, just the channel for excess runoff. people in low-lying areas nearby have been told to evacuate and head north. yuba county has also asked people on the valley floor to evacuate to the east, west or south. stay tuned for updates on this breaking story. the white house says nothing is off the table as it considers how to approach president trump's controversial immigration ban. and today, the president made his first comment about i.c.e. raids that targeted people across the nation. reporter david daniel has

[ chanting ] >> reporter: chances of "undocumented unafraid" could be heard low and clear outside the white house as demonstrators gathered to protest the recent i.c.e. raids. it hundreds were arrested across the country this week and on sunday president trump addressed the raids tweeting -- the crack down on illegal karims is merely the keeping of my campaign promise. while not all of them had criminal histories, efficiency say they targeted individuals with criminal records and raids like these are routine carried out several times a year. concern remains high following the president's recent orders, this despite a federal appeals court rules that prevents the ban from being enforced. white house advisers say they are weighing all their options. >> that includes you can continue the appeal in the
