live, where you live, this is abc 7 news. >> now at 11:00, debris danger, so much junk from recent storms is still making its way into the bay tonight to create big hazards now the coast guard is getting ready to take action. good evening and thank you for joining us tonight. >> abc 7 news has learned coast guard will issue warning to anyone on or near san francisco bay telling them to be wear of debris there's a lot of it. >> we are live in berkeley. >> it is really incredible here. the tide is out here at berkeley marina. everything left behind from tree limbs, plastic chairs, a lot of

garbage garbage. look at what it looked like a blob of a big mess. >> it's floating down after big storms and high water. from the richmond bridge looks like an endless chain of garbage, choking this boat launch on marel island and this looks more like an island surrounded by plant matter. >> what's floating out? >> very, very unusual stuff. >> a lot of hazards in the water. >> logs, pieces of wood or something. >> one of the boats lost most of it's propeller when it hit something a week ago, like, all the blades got taken right off. >> recently a bay ferry had its

propeller damaged when it struck a submerged log. >> be aware of the hazards out there that may exist. >> the coast guard hope boaters let them know when they spot floating hazards in the bay. abc 7 news was on highway 17 to clear a mud slide that's been blocking northbound lanes. the work began last monday but major excava trks ion was on hold. robert gill died when a mud struck backed over him during a mud light clean up. 200,000 people forced to evacuate have been told to go back home. >> they were ordered to leave sunday as a damaged spillway

north of sacramento were hazardous but now water levels are dropping and expected to be low enough to handle a storm. >> we're live in orrville. >> last count 125 construction crews, 40 trucks per hour carrying stones, big rocks down to the damaged spillway. at the same time residents here suddenly back into their home. >> the round the clock work in the orrville damn reprieved the communities below letting people return to their homes. >> we've concluded that it is safe to reduce the immediate evacuation order currently in place to an vac uation warning. >> meantime word came from the white house they would be

several charges including murder. he stole a vehicle and then policele heard a gunshot where he sped out in other vehicle, let officers on a chase, crashed that one as well, they arrested him, later found a 27-year-old man from india who just received a degree from silicone valley university shot to death in the parking lot. at the time ltd the man wanted for parole violation. a man with repeated contact with russian intelligence a year ago. investigators want to know if campaign officials worked with russians to interfere with the election. just last night michael flynn resigned after lie being his contact with the russians. also coming up. in justin herman plaza a lot

. good news after a doing fell into the dark water of san francisco bay tonight. a couple small dogs splip slipped into the water at pier 27 and were visibly shaken. firefighters responded fast, launched a fire boat in the water, spotted the pup, pulled it out and reunited the dog with the couple. all's well that ends well. >> also in san francisco big mess, feathers everywhere. >> we are live with the story tonight. >> well, those feathers are now mostly cleaned up, they're doing it now. they weren't part of a natural bird migration, they were either part of a horrible spec ackle or else something extremely primal. >> in the rush to get home a bell tolls on st. valentine's night in san francisco.
