there are concerns that the design of the dam is new concern. repairs happening on the eroded emergency spillway sent out by the california department of emergency resources. it came out after a mass ev evacuati evacuation. the los angeles times reports there were problems with the original design of the spillway that were never corrected despite questions about whether it could handle it. federal officials are still investigating the cost. on this sunday evening it's breezy out there. a couple of light showers but

accuweather is tracking a strong storm moving in on our monday which will bring lev rain. live doppler 7 right now a couple of green specks on your screen. what we are seeing and you foets if we step outside the winds have been increasing throughout the evening. right now we have gusts frequently over 20 miles an hour. we have the breeze with us right now. a wind advisory in effect. this wind will actually kick up even more come monday night. on the storm it starts off tonight. sunday is a light system trying to move through. a light shower over the next six hours. it will be breezy tonight. the main focus of our forecast is really going to be on monday and this is when the storm gets its act together and will bring some heavy rain at times. it gets a strong storm on the storm impact scale. really can't stress enough. we have been saturated from this winter season. very high that concern for flooding with this storm along with the winds cranking monday night which could be damaging. hour by hour we go. 10:00 on your sunday.

watch the time stamp in the corner of your screen. perhaps a couple of light showers. after midnight while many of us are sleeping this is where st storm starts to strengthen. you start to see the yellow and oranges appear on future weat r weather. that will be the theme throughout monday morning. here comes the moisture moving on shore. sliding a bit to the south over san jose and it's really on and off waves of moderate to heavy rain. by midday, noon, you see the lunchtime hour. you see a lot of yet low. that will be the heavy rain falling. that continues into monday evening. what's happening is this storm system will stall right over us and won't move out until late monday night until early tuesday morning. take a look at this map. two to four inches in the north bay. it will take the brunt of the storm. you get a bit less but still one to two inches around san jose. it's still a strong storm.

you see the swath of two to three inches from livermore to san francisco. i want to highlight this region because our guidance has been hinting at the fact we could see heavy bands of rain set up right in this area you see shaded in red. there's the potential on monday we could see more than three inches of rainfall. however, we'll have to watch exactly where that heavy rain sets up. nonetheless, a flood watch in effect for the entire region with heavy rain. flooding is going to happen. we'll have to watch and see where the heavy rain sets up. rapid rises on our streams and creeks. notice with the wind, tomorrow morning it may weaken. it cranks right back up monday night. that's when a high wind warning goes into effect. the seven-day forecast forecast tomorrow is a mess. it's heavy rain. strong winds into the evening. tuesday into wednesday we have scattered showers. thursday is dry but friday night and saturday night another storm rolls in. i'll get new information coming
