watched last night's speech had ha positive reaction. this is from a new cnn/orc poll. also in this poll, nearly 7 in 10 of those people that watched the president's speech said his proposed policies would move the country in the right direction. also nearly two-thirds of people said president trump has the right priorities for the country. i should note, though, the group taking this particular poll was about 8 points more republican than the population as a whole. trump scored highest on his policies on the economy. reggie, natasha, back to you. this morning, cnn is reporting president trump is putting off releasing his revised travel ban until later this week. white house officials felt signing the executive order today as planned would undercut the favorable coverage of last night's speech. the original order banned citizens of seven muslim majority countries from entering the u.s. and suspended the entry of all refugees. that order was put on hold wi bithe federal appeals court in san francisco. if you wonder how accurate the

president's speech was, the associated press did a fact check on the speech. we posted it along with the entire address on abc7news.com. new details about the deadly crash involving a plane bound for san jose. the ntsb at the scene it could take up to ten days to release its preliminary report and a year and a half for the full summary. the cessna crashed into homes shortly after takeoff on monday. three of the five people on board died. their identities have not officially been released. no one on the ground was hurt. a woman who works at the airport said the pilot has trouble taking off in the bad weather. >> i was so worried, even in the last moment that he left. i said, why they are leaving? >> the plane is owned by a san jose man. neighbors say he and his wife had flown to see their granddaughter take part in a cheerleading competition. the two women who survived are in critical condition in southern california hospitals this morning and we are starting to learn more about those who were on the plane. sylvia survived. her daughter, unfortunately, did

not. coming up at 5:00, we're going to talk to sylvia's son about the loss of his family and how he's going to remember his sister from now on. chp is investigating a four-car crash that injured five people in san francisco. the accident happened south of geneva avenue just before 9:30 last night. firefighters had to extricate one of the victims who was trapped under a vehicle after being ejectsed. two of the victims are in critical condition. three others suffer from minor injuries. happening today, a federal judge in oakland expected to decide whether to release the widow of the orlando nightclub shooter from jail while she is awaiting trial. noor salmon was arrested in january and accused of helping her husband plot last year's attack on the pulse night club that left 49 people dead. she has pleaded not guilty. the judge ordered a psychiatric evaluation of the 31-year-old. today's hearing is scheduled to begin in the federal courthouse in oakland. we're getting a better idea of the scope of sexual

harassment on uc campuses. the bay area news group reports that from january 2013 to last april, more than 100 employees were disciplined in sexual harassment cases. 26 of those cases happened at uc san francisco, which had the most of any campus. about 58% of all reports came from staff members with claims ranging from inappropriate comments to full-blown sexual assault. the city of san jose has now declared a local emergency in the aftermath of last week's flooding. it's the next step in applying for state and federal aid. the city council has set a hearing for march 9 to discuss the flood response and why residents weren't warned when the anderson reservoir began spilling over. the mayor says he'll try to meet with landlords to seek rent breaks and the santa clara water district is now drawing up flood control plans for coyote creek. remember how it looked last week, our pouring down the spillway?

sky7 is showing us how it looks now. for the first time in days, no water flowing over the spillway. the reservoir is at 100% capacity right now so you can expect more water to be released soon. anderson dam doesn't meet earthquake safety standards and must be kept at no more than 68% capacity. this morning, anxious warriors fans await the results of kevin durant's mri after he hyperextended his left knee last night. yahoo sports the vertical reports the warriors are bracing for the possibility that his injury could keep him out for the are remainder of the regular season. sources tell the vertical that some of durant's inner circle fear the damage could sideline the all-star for even longer than that. the nba playoffs begin on april 15. he got hurt when his teammate fell on to durant's knee in washington. tough to watch that guy throw durant into -- or watch durant get thrown into -- man, that's crazy. let's take a look at what's

going on this morning. hi, everybody. 43, that's one of our cool spots and that's in glen park and ocean beach. where it's warm it's about 47 in bay view and sun much cooler around palo alto and saratoga, 37, look at santa clara and pleasanton and petaluma, 35, we've got walnut creek and american canyon about 38, richmond, 41. here's look at our high temperatures today. 58 along the coast. 60 to 63 degrees down in san jose to 64, our warm spot, in santa rosa. so definitely getting warmer than we were yesterday. and we're finally average. here's a look at tonight's lows 30s inland but the frost threat continues to fall apart. look at this lack of clouds across most of the state today, 40 in tahoe to 70s in so cal. quick look at the seven day forecast for tahoe and a lot of sunshine all the way through at least friday with some clouds will gather and then we'll get

some moderate to heavy snow saturday and sunday so get up there friday when it's a little easier. i want to take you to the south bay. we've got several issues, actually, and one that just popped p up here. crash on northbound 880 started off as a two-car crash in the left lane just getting reports of a secondary crash in to same location. it sounds like we've got some lanes blocked on the southbound side. hopefully we'll be able to straighten that out. also a rollover crash from about an hour ago, northbound 880 just before brokaw road in the clean-up stages, sounds like the right lane is blocked. eastbound 92 just past santa clara street in the hayward area, vehicle on its side and that is blocking the right lane. that one's not causing any delay. i do have an update on a b.a.r.t. issue this morning. that's coming up. uber's pr crisis goes from bad to worse. the just-released video that has the company's ceo admitting that he has to grow up. deadly tornados ripping across the midwest. we have new images that are

[ bleep ]. they blame everything in their life. >> good luck. >> this video obtained by bloomberg shows travis arguing with a driver. that driver said he lost $97,000 from a lease to take part in uber's high end black service. he was told to take responsibility for himself. kalanick said this is the first time i'm willing to admit that i need leadership help. tornados being blamed for two deaths in the midwest. one person was killed in illinois. the other victim was in eastern missouri. authorities say there were a total of 22 tornados yesterday wreaking havoc in six states. this is a photo of a funnel cloud in iowa. more severe thunderstorms expected throughout the midwest today and take a look at this damage overnight in maryland. in illinois, the governor has activated the state's emergency operations center to help those in

the same system that brought those tornados also pounded parts of iowa with large hail and this is video from iowa city. authorities there say the hail, strong winds, and rain caused considerable damage there. parts of the state could get hit with more rain and even snow later this week. here' live desk i do want to show you a man seeing damage in his neighborhood for the first time. this is new video on facebook by someone named george smith. you can see homes flattened outside ottawa, illinois, houses knocked over, the walls down in so many of those and you can see the entire block, actually, wreckage lining the street and in this video, there's also some trees that are uprooted. in fact, i was watching this earlier, saw part of the concrete lifted up on the sidewalk there. actually, a very small town. it's named naplate, and at last check, there were 600 people there and in placed like that,

you see a really close knit community. this will be a devastating blow for this community. a lot of clean-up underway this morning. just checked with the storm prediction center. the newest number, 24 reports of tornados yesterday and we still have an ongoing threat in the area you see in red right here, which is kentucky and in tennessee, the heart of both of those areas. now, marching along 24, see that system right there, see how it bows out, that is straight line wind damage but when you get to the top of that bow, that's where we could have a tornado. yellow, we're also seeing the potential for severe thunderstorms. that means winds of hour and hail 3/4 to 1 inch in sides and this is going to continue marching towards new york, baltimore, philadelphia, washington, and eventually atlanta. some major airports and some major metropolitan areas about to get hit with severe weather. a group of homeowners in moraga is fighting east bay mud over this damage from a

mudslide. the slide took down part of a hill. as abc7 news reporter laura anthony reports, the frustrated homeowners say they've had enough. >> reporter: tim has been look at this, a huge slide beneath his moraga home, for nearly a year. it's the same length of time that he, his wife, and three kids have been out of their house. the property beneath it is owned by east bay mud. >> it's been really hard on the kids, hard on my wife, and it's a lot of uncertainty. we don't know when we're going to be able to get back in this house. >> i hold each and every one of you accountable. >> reporter: now, the neighbors are speaking up or at east bay mud's board of directors. >> if you don't take action, there will be repercussions. this community will not be quiet about this issue any longer. >> and we do feel for the homeowners. >> reporter: alex coat is the general manager of east bay mud and he cites two reasons why the district hasn't done more than cover the mess with plastic tarps. >> this is unimproved land and that east bay mud owns, and that

we don't view that any action that we've taken has been the cause of this slide. this is the location of a historic slide and that that information was available when those properties were developed. >> reporter: the slide affects many property owners. >> while east bay mud and lawyers on all sides figure out what happens next, the red tag on alford's home has faded to pink and each day that passes, he wonders what to tell his kids. >> my kids ask me every night when we're going home and i have to tell them i don't know and they ask me why it's taking so long and i say, i don't know. >> reporter: in moraga, laura anthony, abc7 news. happening today, we're going to get another read of how much water we can expect to get from snow in the sierra. state water officials are doing their monthly measurement. data collected electronically shows the snow pack is 188% of normal. a healthy snow pack is crucial because snow makes up 60% of the water captured in california's

reservoirs. it's also one-third of the state's overall water supply in a normal year. let's get over to meteorologist mike nicco with a check of weather. good morning, natasha and reggie, hi, everybody, again. let's talk about clear lake really quick. we've got some good news, finally below the 10 foot barrier and still falling but it's ever so slowly near lake port and that's why we have the flood warning that will continue through at least friday afternoon. here's a look from the east bay hills camera. look how clean that air is. you can almost see sutro tower back there. gorgeous morning. sunny, warmer today, we're warming back to average highs, low to mid 60s, warmest tomorrow afternoon, may get in the upper 60s but still looking wet but not a washout. saturday, sunday, monday, and tuesday. let's talk about the storm impact scale. still a 1 because we're going to have periods of light rain, breezy at times but still not looking for a chance of flooding or for damage from the winds. wake up saturday morning, pretty quiet but notice as we head into the afternoon and evening hours, that chance of rain moves from

north to south with some of the better chances during the evening hours and early overnight, wake up sunday morning a little bit quieter and then some scattered showers for sunday afternoon. now as we head deeper into the accuweather 7 day forecast, you can see some scattered showers from monday, lingering clouds but looking a little bit dryer for tuesday. all right, before we get to that, how about the 60 at the coast and mid to upper 60s for the rest of us tomorrow. looking forward to that and taking a look at the south bay i do have an update on that san jose crash or actually a couple crashes, the one on the northbound side of the road is blocking the three left lanes now. sounds like they're calling in a big rig tow truck there so we've got at least a medium size truck to a full size truck that they need to tow out of the way. southbound lanes have fully reopened so the crash on the southbound side that was v separate has fully cleared. on top of that, we've got a 20-minute b.a.r.t. delay due to earlier track maintenance so they have wrapped that up. that is at daly city and in

of robbers. officers just released this security video. it shows several convenience stores being targeted in a span of an hour last october. in each case, the men entered the store in pairs with one pointing a rifle at the cashier. two of the victims were physically assaulted. the robbers are between 18 and 29 years old. they took off with stolen cash in a white or gold-colored suv. thanks to better technology, digital mammograms are catching more tumors. that's the good news. the bad news is that the percentage of false alarms is up as well. that's according to a study by researchers at the university of vermont college of medicine. so-called diagnostic mammograms are performed on breast cancer may be suspected. they're different from the routine screening mammograms. scientists say they're concerned about the false alarms because it means women undergo the anxiety, inconvenience, and discomfort of a biopsy when they don't have to. san francisco supervisors have rejected a challenge to a plan that supporters say will preserve native plants and

wildlife. abc7 news was at civic center plaza where p supervisors stop the proposal from going forward. it calls for the removal of 18,000 trees in city parks that are not native not area. opponents say it's too far reaching. >> it would totally change the city. it would create a lot of greenhouse gas releases that are bad for the environment and it would devastate wildlife and ruin the parks for everybody that lives in the city. >> rec and park officials say that any trees will be removed will be replaced with tree species that are native to the area. let's take a look at our weather window on san francisco. over towards the east bay from sutro tower. we're going to use that to talk about our climbing highs. we're within 1 to 2 degrees of average. a lot of low to mid 60s today. where we should be. all right. here's a look from the exploratorium at pier 15, absolutely gorgeous morning or night, giving way to morning. the only problem with pollen is it's going to be high. tree once again, ash, elm,

juniper and pine. let's talk about what to expect during an average march in san francisco. we warm from 62 to 64, stay about 49 degrees, our extremes 86 and 35 and it's our fourth wettest month with about 3 1/4 inches of rain. we now have a traffic alert situation in san jose. so the southbound side of 880 totally clear. the crash on that side of the roadway has cleared but we've got a sig alert now northbound 880. we've got the three left lanes blocked and chp just said they're not sure how long it's going to take them to clear it. we have a box truck that's kind of stuck up on the median so they have to bring some tow trucks out to get that, first of all, off the wall and then loaded up and cleared as well so not a terrible backup yet but if you have a flight this morning, use another route. quick check of drive times. westbound 580, tracy to dublin, up to 35 minutes, no delays, southbound 680 out of dublin and northbound 85 looking okay through san jose between 101 and cupertino, looks like that is in the green at just 16 minutes. next traffic update coming up at 5:00. if you're into stand-up
