in gray county texas, ranch hand cindy wallace, crocket and a third man saived cattle and could not escape themselves. they all died. >> you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. >> reporter: on the northeast colorado plains a 30,000 acre blaze destroyed five homes. >> we ran sacked and grabbed everything we could. >> reporter: you can see that danger is not over yet. we are getting 60 mile-per-hour wind gusts right now, making this a very tough fire fight. clayton sandel, phillips county, colorado. >> and they're not expected to get much help from mother nature. >> tinder dry conditions as well as wind. paul williams gives us a look at the challenges facing the crew. >> reporter: the problem is mother nature's going to feed more fuel to the wild fires in

two ways. first of all the wind still very active between 40 to 60 miles per hour. and here's the second half of the helping of these wild fires becoming even worse. we have a drought pattern that goes as far back as august 2018. all the yellows and oranges effected by the wild fires. it's been dry systemically for a long time and continuing to make the problems even worse. kendis, dianne. >> and to the south another wild fire is burning out of control in southwest florida. two homes have been destroyed by the fire outside naples. it's currently only 30% contained. meanwhile, a tornado damaged nearly 500 homes in the community of oak grove, missouri. it injured 12 people as well. packed wind speeds of 152 miles per hour and tore through nearly 12 miles. to the mississippi gulf coast where nearly four people are dead after a freight train

slam under ed into a charter bu. they scrambled to pull victims from the heavily damaged bus. it's not clear why the tour bus, which was heading to a casino, was stopped on the train tracks. witnesses say it just got stuck. >> it's a terrible tragedy. i know there's a lot of families that are going to be impacted here. i want you to know we're doing everything we can do to help everyone on that bus. the bus was carrying people on a trip organized by texas senior center. ntsb is heading to the scene. a new gop proposal to replace obamacare. as president trump praised the bill, some republican law makers revolted, slamming the plan to replace subsidies with tax credits as a costly new entitlement, calling it obamacare light.

meanwhile, democrats say it would leave many uninsured. unclear how many people would be covered. wikileaks has released thousands of documents believed to be secret files from the cia. it may have released hacking tools used to break into tablets, phones, and even tvs. >> reporter: officials call it a devastating security breach and perhaps the biggest leak of cia document said ever. if authentic and officials say they appear to be, the 8700 documents and files released on wikileaks reveal some of the most important spy methods. >> this in some ways their most daring release yet. >> reporter: revealing how the cia can hack into ipads, a full range of telephones and smart tvs like samsung and turn them into listening devices, even when they appear off and how they gain access to messages

community schools and centers across the country. 120 anonymous threats were received in florida and new york. and chicago. there have been more than 120 threats in dozens of states since the new year. the u.s. senate is urging the trump administration to take more action. and there will be no criminal charges filed against a north carolina police officer caught on camera doing that, slamming the female high school student to the floor. that officer was trying to break opfight between two female students in january. a grand jury decided there wasn't enough evidence to file criminal charnels. that officer resigned last week after being placed on leave. a new study suggests it's just a matter of time before a major earthquake strikes southern california. they say quakes in the fault line take place about every 100 years. the last major earthquake in that region happened 160 years

♪ . >> announcer: from abc news, this is "world news now." and we do say good morning to you on this wednesday and it's horrible to even think about but imagine the horror for dozens of bus passengers trapped on the train tracks as a freight train comes barrelling towards you. workers used a crane to lift what's left of the wreckage. dozens more injured. it appears the bus became stuck just minutes before the train approached. inetnet's mark has all the details. >> reporter: a scene of shattered glas and twisted metal in mississippi. rescue crews rushing dozens of passengers to the hospital after a freight train smashed into the it charter bus. >> i know there's what are of families that are going to be impacted here and we're doing

everything we can do to help everyone on that bus. >> reporter: there were about 50 on board headed to a beluxy casino. some headed to waiting ambulances. >> everybody who knows anybody. so anybody who's hurt, you're going to be worried about. >> reporter: witnesses say the bus was driving across the intersection, which is slightly elevated, when it got stuck. >> but then the sent of the bus just stopped and the arms came down and hit the bus. >> the conductor, i think he tried everything in his power to stop that train before it impacted on that bus. but the momentum was too much weight going forward. >> the train was honking and honking but that bus looked like it bottomed out and you could see the train -- and it was gone. >> reporter: the impact pushed the bus 200 feet down the tracks before finally coming to a stop.

crews from across the yare care responded. >> the folks that were on the bus, that were alert, they were lot of help. they helped themselves, helped the people around them. >> reporter: investigators keep searching for answers. and another crash involving a train under investigation this morning. a freight train carrying hazardous material derailed at new york's hudson valley after striking a fork lift being driven across the tracks. it left the train's engine resting in the road. none of the hazardous cargo. two injuries were reported. and turning to deadly wild fires raging across it nation's midsection. thousands more forced to evacuate. dry conditions and low humidity are fuelling flames that have so far ripped through hundreds of square miles through four midwestern states. >> had the wind was blowing hard

and the smoke was, you couldn't see your hand in front of your face. >> and the weather is not expected to cooperate with firefighters today. the winds are still very active. gusts between 40 and 60 miles per hour. this could be potentially huge. wikileaks has released what may be the biggest leaks ever. it described secret hacking tools allegedly used by the agency to break into mobile phones, ipads, even smart tvs. they say the documents appear to be authentic and the secret methods include how to turn tvs into listening devices, evan when they're turned off. they're calling it a devastating security breach. and president trump is facing mountain pressure to provide evidence to back up his explosive allegations that president obama tapped his phones at trump tower.

senator mccain is among those urging him to come forward with any information he had. >> reporter: he's not spoken to fbi director comey but still calling on congress to investigate. this time blaming president obama for releasing 122 former guantanamo bay detainees who returned to terrorist activity. but a government report shows all but nine of those detainees were released during the bush administration. so the white house offered up this correction. >> obviously the president meant in totality the number that have been released since individuals have been released. >> the president's tweet about the issue appeared to have been inspired by fox news report on the number of overall detainees who reengaged after their release. and to the growing tension on the korean peninsula.

they're proposing north korea suspend their nuclear activities in exchange for a halt in joint military drills conducted by the u.s. and south korea. china's foreign minister also said south korea is making a big mistake in deploying its new u.s. antimissile defense system. as 10s of thousands of north koreans gathered in pyongyang to celebrate the latest missile launches, china describes it as a looming head-on cleollision. and the democratic mayor of los angeles winning an overwhelming victory against ten little knownchallengers. he thanks the citizens burt says he's getting right back to work today doing the job he loves for that city. authorities are investigating a brutal crime at a zoo near paris.

we are getting our first look this morning at a dramatic helicopter rescue in mesa, arizona. the helicopter lowered down and just grabs -- the man grabs on to the railing. recent heavy rains fed the already ingorged salt river, leaving that man stranded. luckily he wasn't seriously injured. >> and luckily he has pretty good upper body strength. if that was any of us, it wouldn't be the case. >> we know after the old wife carrying incident, that you would not do very well in that

situation. and clearly you thought the only thing i couldn't carry was a note. and now to the investigation of a day care worker who appears to push a 4-year-old down a flight of stairs. >> the worker spotted a newly installed security camera right after it happened. >> reporter: this disturbing video show as 4-year-old girl apparently being shoved down the stairs at a philadelphia area day care. at that point she holds a little girl's hand and walks her down the remaining steps. >> the little girl was really shaken up and i'm like -- her eyes were literally like help me. >> reporter: that worker just happened to be watching on a camera. >> i went out, what are you doing? >> reporter: the day care worker, sarah gabl, was
