agents are to blame for one of yahoo's biggest breaches and the fbi names the people that are responsible and it going to russia's intelligence agency. i'm reggie aqui. >> and i'm natasha zouves. kristen will be in later today. the fbi arrested one of four russians indicted in connection wth the massive 2014 breach at yahoo. 22-year-old was arrested in canada, the indictments mean the u.s. government is accusing russian government officials of conducting one of the largest hacks in internet history. two others are hackers. the fbi said the breach focused

on more than everyday users. >> the defendants targeted yahoo accounts of ruran and u.s. -- russian and u.s. government security including cyber and diplomatics and other providers whose networks they sought to exploit and employees of financial services. >> that is the second largest in history affecting 500 million accounts. >> and just minutes ago the fbi office in san francisco addressed the charges, agencies here in the bay area were heavily involved in the investigation and the three other suspects are beyond the reach of the u.s. officials but only for now. >> right now there is no extradition capabilities with the government of russia. however these guys will travel one day, somewhere and there are a lot of international countries that do have extradition treaties with the united states

and we'll take advantage of that. >> these people are facing multiple charges. one of the suspects, if and when he is arrested, faces more than 100 years in prison. one man is still on the loose after an officer-involved shooting near the csu east bay campus. one woman died in the shooting and two detectives were hurt when their car was rammed on carlos b. boulevard. matt keller just got an update on all of this. what do we know now? >> reporter: natasha, i just finished up speaking with the t hospital and ended up dying from her injuries. police are not saying if she was the driver or wanted by the task force but the two detectives were released from hospital and the investigation is now being done by the hayward police department and the alameda county district attorney's office and they are the ones determining whether the shooting was justified. matt keller, abc 7 news. >> thank you. new details on a homicide investigation into alameda county. sheriff's have identified the victim at 41-year-old don

castillo from san lee and row, and he was found dead after deputies were called to a house on cell born drive monday after noon. he was involved in the street. a gun and a knife were used the killing. they are looking for suspects. and new this morning, firefighters are investigating what caused several cars at an east bay tow car to go up in flames. check out this video from north main towing on blum road in martinez. contra costa fire tells us witnesses reported explosions and you probably just heard that one during the early morning fire. smoke could be seen from 680 and highway 4. three cars were damaged so if your car has been towed recently, this is a good reminder you need to track it down. an oversight hearing at the state capital focusing on the ghost ship fire. 36 people died in the december 2nd fire that broke out on international boulevard during a

music concert. the warehouse was converted into an illegal work space. there are countless buildings like this throughout the state. >> this is a local wakeup call who have the compliance with building and fire and zoning codes within jurisdictions. >> the fourth of one fire victim is expected to testify today. an assistant city administrator is also at the hearing. and this comes a day after oakland leaders revealed the fire chief is retiring. she has been on leave since midjanuary and criticism started after she admitted the ghost ship warehouse had not been inspected and she was slow to hire for key positions. this is just as she became fully vested in her pension. the city is looking for a new chief before she leaves in may. developing news that is making dozens of kids kick to their stomach.

this morning an east bay school is trying to scrub away a virus that is getting so many students ill. amy hollyfield is live at dublin elementary. >> reporter: i just got these numbers in. seconds ago. they have 46 kids absent today. that is about the same that they had yesterday. so maybe the situation isn't getting worse, maybe it is not quite improving yet. still unclear. but the parents who did bring their kids to school today tell us they are concerned, but they are pleased with thousand the school is handling the situation. this is what you do when 35 kids all stay home from school with symptoms of noro virus, you start scrubbing. >> we taking every precaution out of an abundance of caution, we have doubled our custodian staff and doubled over the weekend to clean the campus and the department of health was here to guide us. >> reporter: there is one confirmed case at dublin elementary school and dozens of

others that are sick that haven't officially been tested. this all started on friday. >> have you ever been sick at school? >> yes. >> and that gets taken care of quickly. >> and parents kicked into cleaning overdrive. >> i'm here for my kids and i don't want this to get to us as an adult but i'm having them wash the hands and not share food and things like that. >> reporter: the school has sent e-mails to parents every day since and reminding them to keep sick kids at home. parents say they appreciate being armed with the information. >> i think they are doing a good job of containing it. and the teachers have been really good about enforcing hand washing and all of that kind of stuff. everyone is doing the best they can. >> reporter: one thing they are stressing, if your child is sick, don't send them back to the school until they are symptom-free for 48 hours and hoping to eradicate this in the next few days but they do have

spring break the first week of april so that will wipe the slate clean for a whole week. amy hollyfield, abc 7 news. >> hopefully they are feeling better soon. thank you. a wayward sea lion is creating a stir in the vacaville canal. >> and he is re-emerging from the drainage pipe and swimming toward the dalta. animal control still trying to capture the sea lion. he's been evading everyone since yesterday. it is not clear how he made up it from san francisco bay. someone saw him eating lunch recently. the plan is to tranquilize and rescue him and take him back to the animal hospital in marin to see if he is okay and needs medical attention. >> i'm obsessed with him. i hope he's all right. maybe he's enjoying our spring-like warmth but that is cooler today and we are getting the next chance of rain, storm clouds moving in and fog is

socking in the golden gate bridge as we look live. mike nicco is joining us live. i got a little bit of a drizzle this morning walking around. >> not surprising. we'll get more overnight. hi, everybody. it looks impressive on live doppler 7, it is well to the north. and as i put it in motion, most of the cells are moving to the northeast while the storm system sinks to the south. could you see by 5:00, scattered showers in the north bay and by 7:00 they are still there. they haven't moved to the south and by midnight they are just about over. we do have a chance of drizzle overnight. rainfall estimates through the evening commute, there are none. but by tomorrow morning, a couple here and there because of the drizzle xs, i do -- i do have more coming up. next, president trump's tax return exposed. what it shows and why it is

this morning the white house is standing by a leaked document that reveals president trump's 2005 income taxes, how much he made, lost and paid. the president himself is calling the whole thing fake news. we report now from washington. >> reporter: today president trump gets out of washington and travels to detroit as two pages

of his income taxes for more than a decade ago are out. he's spent the last year during the campaign refusing to release them. >> well i'm not releasing the tax returns because their under audit. >> now there is an irs requirement that all presidents and vice presidents since the 1970s get audited every year. >> yes or no, do you believe voters have a right to see your tax returns before they make a final decision. >> i don't think they do. >> reporter: and now the glimpse into the 2005 tax returns. it shows an in come of $153 million and he paid $38 million in taxes and the rax rate of 25% and he declared $103 million in losses. >> and david k. johnston said he received the two page tax summary in the mail anonymously. and he talked about this this morning on "good morning america." >> everybody is on the minimum

someone from san francisco peer 23. >> another way that abc 7 news is right at your finger tips. kristen zse, abc 7 news. beautiful picture this morning from mt. tam. thanks for joining us. let's open up the weather woepd and show -- window and show you the multi-layer clouds as the cold front drops our temperatures significantly. nearly 10 to 15 degrees compared to yesterday. it is possible a light shower to drizzle is squeezed out of this atmosphere as the cold front rolls through during the evening and overnight. better chance of weather is going to begin this weekend. here is a look at live doppler 7. you could see the cloud cover. every once in a while you need the sunglasses from time to time. it is not solid until the latter part of the afternoon hours and could you see the deeper moisture starts to move in. but most still moving to the north. so the big story is we're from 1 to 14 degrees cooler than we were 24 hours ago.

so that puts us at 52 in santa rosa. mid to upper 50s and a few 60s out there, concord, fairfield, concord and antioch at about 70 right now. and san ramon, 67. from sutro tower, there is downtown san francisco. east bay hills off in the distance. if you are out and about today exercising, i might as well lock this in for the next couple of months, high tree pollen. immedia medium waves and at the beach cloudy and cooler. a look at our temperatures. 58 in half moon bay. san francisco 61. mid to upper 60s for the bay and up into the north bay. we'll squeeze out 70s in the inland east bay and south bay neighborhoods. and ever increasing clouds. 50 at the coast. 70 around the bay. and then until 4:00 and then we have 50 and 60 until 8:00 and then most of us in the mid to upper 50s with the shower chance we talked about at the top of the show developing up there. overnight, cloudy and drizzle possible and low to mid-50s.

here is my accuweather seven-day forecast. and what you're going to see is increasing sunshine and brighter sunshine tomorrow, once that cold front moves through. temperatures about the same as today. maybe a degree warmer. we're going to be warmest with more sunshine for st. patrick's day on friday. and then we have a system that comes up to our door and it kind of falls apart on saturday and sunday. so a slight chance each day. hard to put a strong storm impact scale on there. and monday and tuesday we're looking at better chances of rain, especially on tuesday. the weekend not a washout but it is something we'll keep an eye out because there could be a shower or two. >> i thought we were done with this rain. >> it is not heavy, how about that. it is not flooding rain. >>

the crew just caught up to the 300 pound sea lion about two miles from where he was this morning. >> was going to ask twitter if we could name the sea lion but he's been named already -- his name is "leisure" because he turned up near leisure town road yesterday. they are telling the public to keep your distance so he doesn't get too stressed out and it appears so far so good. as you could see. he is a natural in front of the camera. >> oh, yeah. he's been posing, and his name is mr. leisure. >> excuse me. >> it is. and he's been posing for cameras. >> show the respect. >> for all of the cameras. >> i hope he is well because i'm in love with mr. leisure, or whatever he is. >> he is adorable, isn't he. >> out for a leisurely swim. >> from us here at abc 7 news, thanks for watching today. who wants to be a millionaire is coming up next. >> our next newscast is at 4:00
