the way i am right now, i don't want to live. i was discharged from the army, and i've been working with the wounded warrior project since 2007. warriors don't have to be severely wounded to be with the wounded warrior project. we do have a lot of guys that have post-traumatic stress disorder. being able to share your story, i guess it kind of helps you wrap your mind around what did happen over there. just because you've left the military doesn't mean your life is over, because when these guys are coming home, i'm kind of leading and training them, instead of for combat, i'm leading and training them to heal. and if i come away with anything from the wounded warrior project, it's them giving my life back. my name is norbie, and yes, i do suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, but i'm okay. that will be here for you now - and down the road. i have a lifetime of experience. so i know how important that is.

we're back with a wild and terrifying scene that played out in a small wisconsin town. four people are dead including a police officer after the shooting spree. it actually started as a domestic dispute at a bank and escalated into shootings at multiple locations -- a bank, a law firm, and an apartment complex. officers, including a s.w.a.t. team, had a standoff with the suspect for several hours that ended with a volley of gunfire and a dead officer. the officer may be the first killed in the line of duty in wisconsin this year. the suspect also injured, now in custody. the fatal stabbing of a man in new york is being investigated as a hate crime. police say the suspect james

jackson deliberately targeted the victim because he was black and say he harbors a deep-seated hatred of all black people. abc's linsey davis has more. >> reporter: the man captured on this surveillance tape on a new york city street is under arrest. james jackson, a 28-year-old army veteran is accused of stabbing timothy caughman to death, police say, simply because he was black. >> it is believed that he was specifically intending to target male blacks. it's well over ten years that he has been harboring these feelings of hate towards male blacks. >> reporter: according to detectives, jackson came from baltimore with the intent to kill black people. >> the reason why he picked new york is because it's the media capital of the world, and he wanted to make a statement. >> reporter: a can and bottle recycler, caughman was rifling through the trash when police say jackson stabbed him multiple times with this 26-inch black sword. jackson who served in afghanistan is seen here running down the street after the stabbing. caughman made it to a police station, but later died. jackson turned himself in. the suspect allegedly wrote a manifesto about attacking blacks

in new york city. so far this year, there have been 122 reported hate crimes in this city. that's more than double this time last year. linsey davis, abc news, new york. >> linsey, thanks. shifting gears now, some of the country's biggest advertisers are pulling out of youtube over promotion st. louis videos for terrorists and other offensive material. on wednesday, at&t and johnson & johnson pulled their ads from the google-owned video platform. last week, several european advertisers started a boycott of the popular video site over the same issue. google is reviewing its advertising policies and plans to give companies more control where their ads appear. march madness returns. it is night one of the sweet 16 in the ncaa men's basketball tournament. >> there are four games tonight. the first one pits oregon and michigan in kansas city in the midwest region, that's then followed by kansas who are going to win, by the way.

an suv barreling down the city's famed westminster bridge. watch as it races across. a woman near the middle of the bridge falls, lands in the water. >> there was bodies literally. >> must have been like ten. >> 10 or 12 bodies. >> reporter: the driver then rams his vehicle into the gates outside parliament. >> i see that one car smashed in the wall and people started running all over. >> reporter: police say the man armed with a knife attacked the officer standing guard. shots are fired. one minister springing into action trying to save the wounded officer, that man identified as keith palmer who spent 15 years with london police later died. the suspect also killed. pedestrians running for safety. >> this house is not suspended but please wait here. >> reporter: inside parliament, confusion. people forced to huddle for hours.

after the election. but nunes briefed the president before sharing that information with the rest of the intelligence committee. abc's serena marshall is here to untangle what this all means. it seems like there's actually a lot to unpack here. >> reporter: it's quite remarkable. the chairman of the house intelligence committee is pivoting saying president trump's team may have been incidentally surveilled but now some questioning whether he compromised the integrity of his committee's investigation. the white house on offense, standing by president trump's claims of wiretapping. as a high-ranking republican comes to his defense. >> i have seen intelligence reports that clearly show that the president-elect and his team were i guess at least monitored and disseminated out in intelligence. >> reporter: house intelligence chairman devin nunes in a press briefing. > i recently confirmed on numerous occasions the intelligence community

>> it's a big question. his tweets said the obama administration wiretapped him. that's not true. it does say that he got caught up in the surveillance. it's not unusual for americans to get caught up in surveillance of foreigners. the trump family and trump campaign communicated with foreigners in the investigation for the fbi. >> it's unusual for them to be named, though. >> it is unusual for them to be named. that's what nunes is saying, they were unmasked. which means they were named in the surveillance. that's not typical. that's what they're worried about, they were unmasked and names leaked. citizen one and citizen two to keep them completely off the paper and the transcript. >> a lot of people are questioning the timing of this announcement by nunes and the depth of it, as well. >> it was very odd briefing the president, briefing the press and then briefing his own committee. that just doesn't happen. >> serena marshall, thank you for being here. speak of the russia connection, president trump's former campaign manager paul manafort insists he did not work for the russian government.

>> now, his denial follows an associated press report saying he had a $10 million contract with a russian oligarch close to vladimir putin. manafort reportedly offered to push putin's agenda in the u.s. and other countries. the president said he was not aware of any connection, and manafort claimed smear and innuendo are being used to paint a false picture. the eurovision song contest just got political. it's being held this year in key -- kiev and they have banned russia's contestant from entering the country. >> that's because the singer sang in crimea two years ago, the territory that russia annexed from ukraine the year before. the european broadcasting union is now trying to resolve the matter before the show starts in may. >> you have to realize how huge this is. eurovision is a mega, mega world event. it has brought us the likes of abba and then some big stars over the years and it's usually like the olympics of singing. > how did your audition go?

>> serena marshall, thanks so much. we appreciate it. the senate judiciary committee's questioning of supreme court nominee neil gorsuch is over. the panel almost hear from witnesses who support and oppose his nomination. democrats yesterday expressed frustration they were not able to pin gorsuch down on specific issues like abortion. republicans are confident gorsuch will be confirmed. in the meantime, we're all kind of thinking about that stunning revelation from a key congressman who says intelligence may have picked up private communications by president trump and his transition team. congressman devin nunes, chairman of the house intelligence committee, says he has information showing that agencies conducting legal surveillance of foreign targets scooped up what he calls incidental collection of those communications. but nunes triggered controversy when he briefed president trump privately on that information. before disclosing it to the rest of the judiciary committee.

>> serena marshall, thanks so much. we appreciate it. the senate judiciary committee's questioning of supreme court nominee neil gorsuch is over. the panel almost hear from witnesses who support and oppose his nomination. democrats yesterday expressed frustration that they were not able to pin gorsuch down on specific issues like abortion. republicans are confident gorsuch will be confirmed. in the meantime, we're all kind of thinking about that stunning revelation from a key congressman who says intelligence may have picked up private communications by president trump and his transition team. congressman devin nunes, chairman of the house intelligence committee, says he has information showing that agencies conducting legal surveillance of foreign targets scooped up what he calls incidental collection of those communications. but nunes triggered controversy when he briefed president trump privately on that information. before disclosing it to the rest of the judiciary committee. now, lawmakers on both sides say the disclosure by nunes creates doubt about whether the

we're back with a wild and terrifying scene that played out in a small wisconsin town. four people are dead including a police officer after the shooting spree. it actually started as a domestic dispute at a bank and escalated into shootings at multiple locations -- a bank, a law firm, and an apartment complex. officers, including a s.w.a.t. team, had a standoff with the suspect for several hours that ended with a volley of gunfire and a dead officer. the officer may be the first killed in the line of duty in wisconsin this year. the suspect also injured, now in custody. the fatal stabbing of a man in new york is being investigated as a hate crime. police say the suspect james jackson deliberately targeted

the victim because he was black and they say he harbors a deep-seeded hatred of all black people. abc's linsey davis has more. >> reporter: the man captured on this surveillance tape on a new york city street is under arrest. james jackson, a 28-year-old army veteran is accused of stabbing timothy caughman to death, police say, simply because he was black. >> it is believed that he was specifically intending to target male blacks. it's well over ten years that he has been harboring these feelings of hate towards male blacks. >> reporter: according to detectives, jackson came from baltimore with the intent to kill black people. >> the reason why he picked new york is because it's the media capital of the world, and he wanted to make a statement. >> reporter: a can and bottle recycler, caughman was rifling through the trash when police say jackson stabbed him multiple times with this 26-inch black sword. jackson who served in afghanistan is seen here running down the street after the stabbing. caughman made it to a police station, but later died. jackson turned himself in. the suspect allegedly wrote a
