now at 11:00, safety violations uncovered at the oakland building where four people died, and tonight just ae released e-mails showed the fire department wanted to close the building down months ago. >> one firefighter says the apartment building was danger s dangerous. the fire happened on monday. >> we have new details tonight. >> karl and cynthia lost their father on the fire on monday. >> he served his country. he stayed in oakland. he loved oakland. >> 64-year-old, ed anderson, and

three others died. and firefighters wanted the building shut down months ago. >> to find out there were so many steps that could have been done to prevent the fire. >> and the e-mail sent in february said the build something dangerous, exclamation point, and it noted unmaintained smoke detecters. >> the e-mail that suggests that we consider shutting down the building is one that disturbed me greatly. >> the mayor announced six more fire inspectors will be hired and additional training will take place. when asking who is responsible for not heeding firefighter warnings?

>> we are continuing to investigate all of the actions, decisions, and communications around this building. >> they will keep allowing this stuff to happen. >> more than 100 people are now displaced. in oakland, abc7 news. we have breaking news tonight, an amber alert have been issued for two young girls abducted by a woman, and they were taken from greeneville nearly three hours north of sacramento. the woman was driving a black prius with this license plate. a gunman armed with a shotgun is on the loose in santa clara. he shot a man just before 8:00 tonight. police believe only the two men were in the room at the time and nobody else was hurt. witnesses did not report a fight before the shooting.

and then the scene after a car crashed through what was a sliding glass door and into an apartment complex, and it happened just around 6:00 at newark boulevard. what a mess. the driver was treated for injuries but was not taken to the hospital. police are trying to figure out what happened here. city inspectors will determine if the build something structurally stable but it did take interest. and albany high had a unity rally this afternoon, and it comes after some students were targeted by racially instagram post. >> it's my life's work to bring

temperatures first thing in the morning, mid-40s to low 50s. a little coolness in the air, and breezy as well. notice at 5:00 a.m., we have the breezes close to 30 miles per hour, and this continues through about 7:00 a.m. winds will relax quite a bit. we have seen that except at the higher elevations and as we head into tomorrow afternoon, temperatures will rise and you will feel it, and it's going to be a warm one with low 80s in our warmest inland valleys, and 78 in san jose, and 72 in san francisco. and 76 in santa cruz, as i mentioned. sunday, patchy fog appears at 5:00 a.m. sunday and the sea breeze will come in and the temperatures will dip a little bit, especially when the high clouds filter the sun by sunday afternoon and evening. changes will get under way, and until those changes happen, if you are going to one of the three of the bay series, you
