with the accuweather seven-day forecast. >> thank you. a dozen people are displaced after a 2-alarm fire broke out in an oakland apartment building. ment fire started around 3:45 this morning on 39th avenue near macarthur boulevard. oakland fire says one resident jumped out of his bedroom window to escape the flames. a total of four units have been damaged. one person was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. investigators are still working to find the cause of the fire. developing news now out of pittsburgh, police are investigating a shooting that left multiple people hurt. this happened last night just before 11:00 on madelein street near alturas avenue. contra cost a tells us they treated seven people but it is not known how many people were shot. three ambulances and two medical helicopters were at the scene to transport the victims. no word yet on any suspects. 6:02 so you are time. the family of a murdered mom

hopes new evidence could lead them to her killer and her missing daughter. last night people gathered at mclaren park in san francisco where the body of nicole fitz was found last april. there is a $10,000 award for information leading to her daughter's return. abc 7 news reporter tiffany wilson has more on the new lead in the case. >> reporter: ariana wants to hold her in their arms. the toddler was reported missing last april after her mom nicole failed to show up for work at best bay. nicole's body was found a few days later in a shallow grave in mclaren park covered with a piece of plywood. no one has seen ariana since. her aunt has a theory. >> i do believe someone is caring for her. i believe that the whole reason that this happened is because someone wanted ariana. >> reporter: one year since nicole was seen alive, several

people gathered for a vigil. san francisco police confirmed that they recovered a car possibly connected to the case. the fbi is now testing it for evidence. >> it makes me feel great. it's one step closer to having ariana home. >> reporter: that's not the only hope. she is optimistic the car could lead to nicole's killer and the abductor as well. >> it gives me hope that it's going to soon, hopefully soon lead to the people who are responsible. >> reporter: nicole called ariana her butterfly. family and friends pinned butterflies to their jackets. the bright bold beautiful colors reminding them of ariana. >> this is our hopes and prayers she gets home safely. >> reporter: in san francisco, tiffany wilson abc 7 news. >> new clues have also emerged

in the search for pearl pin son. she disappeared from her home in vallejo last year. they believe the 15-year-old may be alive held by human traffickers. they have new evidence to focus on the town of jen ner in sonoma county. pin son's suspected kidnapper was captured by surveillance cameras in bodega bay, the day after she vanished. a day later he died in a shoot out with police. more than a dozen people were sent to the hospital. victims included seven children. four people suffered very serious injuries along westbound highway 4 near lone tree way. three badly injured children had to be flown by helicopter to trauma centers in oakland and sacramento. >> with the incident being spread out on highway four, we am all our resources on the highway. we could quickly triage and transport those patients from the ambulance to the helicopter.

debunked by the director of the fbi. abc 7 news. >> president trump's former national security advisor did not reveal the fees he earned from speaking to russian groups. michael flynn's personal disclosure form originally did not show his 2015 speaking engagements, including one for the russian government's television network r.t. he turned it in just a few days before he resigned over his contacts with the russian ambassador. on friday, flynn amended the form to include all of his speeches. last year he earned $1.3 million in total speaker fees. this weekend the san francisco gay men's core us is honoring one of its members who died during a performance. abc 7 news was at the theater last night in san francisco as the group sang in memory of ryan. the 39-year-old collapsed friday midway through their paradise bound performance. doctors were not able to revive him. >> ryan was a larger than life

exploratorium out towards the bay bridge. you see some of the low clouds spilling into the bay. we are dealing with patchy coastal morning fog. cooler nu cooler numbers due to the fog. rain and wind heading our way by the end of the week. abc 7's exclusive impact scale, this storm ranks a 2 for friday. rainfall amounts anywhere from half an inch to an inch and a half, and also very strong gusty winds that will be a concern for possible down trees and power lines. chances of rain are basically none the next few days. we have pleasant weather. thursday night is when we have a storm impact scale of 1. light storm starts to move in, then the heavier storm comes in on friday, tapers off by saturday. and i'll show you what the wind is going to be like as well. so, this is a concern. so, by friday midnight, it's going to be about 40 miles an hour so it's friday early morning. notice it continues to be strong

busy sunday. we'll see you soon. >> 6:25 is our time. environmentalists believe that a recent executive order from the president shouldn't affect the monterey bay. the bay has significant measures in place to protect its uniquely diverse habitat from drilling, mining, and other environmentally harmful activities. president trump signed an order to remove protections from many of the nation's marine areas. central coast leaders told the santa cruz sentinel, the president does not have the power to change the protections, only congress does. and if those protections are challenged in congress, they'll be ready to fight. the feathers were flying in a massive pillow fight in seattle. it was all part of an international pillow fight day where people were encouraged to wear costumes pajamas to make the fight extra authentic. the fight isn't just about hitting people with pillows. organizers collected donations from participants then matched those donations. and all the money raised went to homeless shelters. seattle just one of dozens of

what should have been a fun swim event turned tragic. 13-year-old died and others sick. it sickened first responders. abc news reporter chuck see bert son tells us more. >> reporter: first responders to this small town michigan hotel became a mass casualty scene. >> i have a report of approximately 6 to 7 children in the pool area unconscious. >> reporter: carbon monoxide killing a 13-year-old boy and sickening a dozen others. they were playing in this pool before falling ill. >> my mom went down there and said all the kids were surrounded. the pool passed out throwing up. >> reporter: rescuers found a mccobb scene. >> they were pulling out bodies and laying them side by side. >> they opened up doors and called 911 right away.

>> reporter: officials blaming a lethal dose of carbon monoxide more than 16 times wloos sahat coming from a faulty pool heater. there are more than 400 deaths and 20,000 admitted for carbon monoxide poisoning. they working closely with local officials and their highest priority is the safety of their guests. investigators trying to determine whether the hotel had carbon monoxide detectors. chuck see bert son, abc news new york. >> there is a new discovery in a death investigation. detectives found a human leg attached to a cinder. they believe it is the leg belonging to bridget jacobs.s. he has not confessed to the crime but told police she fell down the stairs during an argument. >> there is no indication this is natural decomposition.

it appears that there is a dismemberment. the coroner's office will do the autopsy and try to determine how she was dismembered. >> police say while they cannot positively identify the body as jacobs yet, based on their investigation, they are confident it is her. we are learning more now about a house explosion at kirk wood near lake tahoe. investigators suspect propane might be to blame for friday's early morning inferno. and they also say this year's massive snow fall could create an explosion hazard at other vacation homes in the sierra. one fire fighter encourages homeowners to keep an eye on their heating and ventilation systems, especially if they use propane. >> just a normal protection for your hoemtz and then also for your propane meters to make sure they are completely exposed and dug out because they do vent. >> nobody was in the house when the fire started and it happened to be the second house to burst into flames along the same street during the past week. new this morning, just in

you can see the coastal clouds, they spilled into the bay. that's going to affect temperatures this afternoon. gray skies right now, but that will change. san francisco currently 52 degrees. oakland 55. san jose 53. half moon bay 50 degrees. here is a pretty shot as we look from east bay hills, we're looking south. those clouds have spilled over from the bay, starting to creep into some inland areas, but they will pull back very quickly. in santa rosa only 48 degrees right now as well as novato. livermore also juan of the cooler spots at 47 degrees. and this shot is from the sutro tower looking towards san francisco where we see those patchy coastal clouds. and the morning fog that will clear by mid kay, but we will see slightly cooler temperatures this afternoon for the coast and the bay and get ready, rain and wind by the end of the week and a lot of it. here's a look at the forecast animation. so, in the next hour or so we'll see fog into parts of the bay and parts of the inland areas.

that will pull back pretty quickly. by lunchtime mainly sunny skies for everyone and that will mean warm temperatures once again. upper 70s for some inland areas to near 80 like santa rosa, napa, lake port, concord 77 and san jose getting up to 78 degrees today. also pleasant in the east bay and along the bay. 73 in oakland, 72 in san mateo, san francisco 69 degrees. so, that's a bit cooler compared to yesterday's high. beach hazard in effect right now through tomorrow morning for west and northwest facing beaches. current wave heights range from about 10 to 12 feet. so, watch out for large breakers. sneaker waves and rip currents if you're headed to the beach. they could catch you by surprise. abc 7 storm impact scale, we rank each storm 1 to 5. the next one coming in friday will be a moderate level 2. rain from half an inch to inch and a half. rain gusts will pickup friday into saturday. forecast animation shows mostly dry by thursday, but then in the

evening we start to see some light rain falling into the north bay. it spreads south friday morning could be a messy commute with some heavier rain indicated by the darker green and yellow in parts of the north bay. and then if slides south. heavier rain moves towards the peninsula and south bay and tapering showers into saturday. so, keep that in mind. wind gusts pretty strong, 40 to even 50 miles per hour. notice they remain on the strong side into saturday. so, that's why we want to be prepared for that. in the meantime, you can enjoy the beautiful weather we have for today. a summer like spread with temperatures near 80 inland, 70s around the bay, mid 6 0s along the coast. just a touch cooler as the breeze picks up but we will see a mild pattern above temperatures through wince. evening showers move in thursday and then friday is when we see that moderate storm with a pretty good amount of rain and some gusty wind and that might continue into saturday as well.
