it is sunday, april 2nd. good morning and thank you for joining us. let's start with our first look at the forecast. hi, francis. good morning, everyone. we're seeing more cloud cover this morning leading to cooler temperatures. the satellite image and the clouds have pulled in from the coast to parts of the bay. temperatures right now mainly in the 50s, but there is quite a bit of a range. most of us are in the mid 50s. here is how it plays out today. coastal fog by noon, clouds clear and this afternoon, plenty of sunshine, temperatures reaching low 80s. low to mid 60s at the coast. enjoy the sunshine because we have big changes on the way with the seven-day forecast. breaking news out of the

east bay this morning, a dozen people are displaced after a two alarm fire broke out. it started around 3:45 this morning on 39th avenue. oakland fire says one resident jumped out of his bedroom window to escape the flames. one person was taken to the hospital to be treated for minor injuries. 9:02 is our time, developing news out of pittsburgh, police are investigating a shooting that left multiple people injured. it happened just after a birthday party last night. police say the suspect, a 23-year-old man was with a group of people who were asked to leave the party. officers say they got into a fight with five other men and the suspect pulled out a gun and started shooting. the five victims are in stable condition. the family of a murdered mom hopes new evidence could leave

them to a killer and her missing daughter. the body of nicole fitz was found last april. there is a $10,000 reward for investigation leading to her daughter's return. tiffany wilson has more on the new lead in the case. her family just wants to scoop her into their arms, hear her laugh, see her smile. >> i do believe she is still aware. >> the toddler was reported missing last april after her mom, nicole, failed to show up for work. her body was found a few days later with a shallow greave in a park. no one has seen ariana since. >> i do believe that someone is caring for her. i believe that the whole reason that this happened is because someone wanted ariyana. >> several dozen people gathered for a individual. they shared a renewed hope for

15-year-old may still be alive and is possibly being held by human traffickers. they have new evidence to focus on jenner in sonoma county. the santa rosa press democrat. they say her suspected kidnapper was spotted at a gas station the day after she vanished. he died lat near day in a shootout with police. and accident on the free way sent seven people to the hospital. at least four of them were children. they suffered serious injuries near lone tree way. three badly injured children had to be flown by helicopter to sacramento. >> with the incident being spread out on highway 4 we have all of our resources on the highway. we could quickly

happening today, congresswoman spear is hosting an event against the trump agenda called "take back america." there is a resource fair where people can meet with organizers and grass roots organizers that want to flip the house next year. this weekend, the fran gay men's chorus is honoring a man who died during a recent performance. abc 7 news was at the theater last night as the group sang in memory of ryan nunia. he collapsed on friday and doctors were not able to revive him. >> he was a larger than life pe persona. he was a singing member, our office manager, and to say he was believed by everyone is a

police arrested her ex-husband to the murder because he weighed her body down and put her river. he says she fell down the stairs. >> it appears to be a dismemberment, not an accident. we will do an autopsy to try to determine how she was dismembered. >> police say while they cannot positively identify the body yesterday, based on the investigation they're confident it is her. >> we're just days away from the opening of the new apple park coop coopertino. more construction is going on, but employees are expected to start moving into the new campus this month. steve jobs once said the new campus would be the best office building in the world.

the temperature will be careful but there could be dangerous waves out there, a statement investigatiformation tomorrow morning. here are the chances of rain for the next seven days. we basically from v no chances, pleasant weather above average. thursday, friday, and saturday is when we're looking to -- the storm impact scale, this storm is a level two out of a level five. it will be a modern storm. the rainfall ranges from half an inch to an inch and a half. especially in the north bay, and very gusty winds accompany the system as well. the animation shows by thursday night sprinkles and in the north bay. it sprets and the darker green in yellow is where we see the heavy your rain. it continues to hit the bay area throughout the day. check out the winds that

from the last night's $60 million powerball drawing. a ticket for arizona matched all six to win the jackpot, so wednesday night's drawing resets to $40 million. the feathers were flying in a massive pillow fight in seattle and new york. people were encouraged to wear co costumes or pajamas. people who participated made donations that were matched. the money went to homeless shelters. dozens of cities around the country had those pillow fights yesterday. we are starting off cloudy, but we will see sunshine this afternoon. that means temperatures will warm up again to near 80 especially in the north bay, but cooler at the coast, 73 in
