deshawn mcbride. witnesses say mcbride cut off his ex-girlfriend la shonda franklin as she drove her children to school yesterday morning. >> surveillance video shows mcbride leaving the scene off she was shot. >> he was tracked to a fast food restaurant in the city of sacramento. and our detectives in the marshall services officers went in and apprehended him without any fight. >> both of franklin's children witnessed her being killed, they're both under the age of 10. mcbride and franklin had a history of domestic violence. just minutes ago sky 7 was over market and 33rd street. police confirm to abc7 news they were looking for a suspect in connection with a robbery.

positive, moving in our direction towards the bay area, the storm ranks 2 on the storm of impact scale, it will produce rain that's heavy at times, a chance of lightning on friday. and here's what we can expect, the heaviest rain will fall between 10:00 tomorrow night and 5:00 friday morning, so overnight tomorrow night into the beginning of the morning commute, strongest winds will come in two stages, late thursday, 6:00 p.m. into friday 2:00 a.m. and then again friday evening from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. i'll give you a closer look as we track the storm a little bit later. those approaching storms spencer's talking about could mean another rain delay for crews working on the smart train project in the north bay. the problem is the wet weather may cause landslides long the train's route. what is being done to get the project back on track here? >> reporter: well, i asked the transit agency that same question.

they told me, dan, that the rain is not expected to further delay their project, they told me they have done everything they can to protect those tracks. crews have moved quickly through this narrow canyon places bolting and plates to secure the hillside while covering them with a special mesh. last january a slide in san rafael sent mud and debris down the hill and covering part of this tunnel used by the sonoma area rail transit. it turns out the slide was a blessing. >> it turns out we're glad it happened when we were able to address it. >> reporter: the cost will add -- responsibility of the contractor. the down side is that the smart trains have stopped being tested. this san rafael resident understands unforeseen events happen. >> it's nothing abnormal, it's

tonight, president trump says after yesterday's chemical attack against syrian civilians, he now has responsibility for what happens in the war torn country. speaking at a news conference with the president of jordan today, mr. trump called the attack heinous, the united states u.n. envoy nikki haley went a step further, blasting russia in an emergency session at the united nations today. >> if russia has the influence in syria that it claims to have, we need to see them use it. we need to see them put an end to these horrific acts. how many more children have to die before russia cares? >> yesterday's attack left at least 75 people dead.
