abc 7 nunews. >> we are getting reports of lightning and hail. thanks for joining us. >> it's been another wet night across the bay area. here's a live look from t south beach camera. notice the water drops on the lens, you will need an umbrella, if you are headed out tonight. >> here is the toll plaza. at the richmond bridge. >> and a new shot of daly city, this is 280 at john boulevard. sandy, the storm was just upgrad upgraded? >> it has been upgraded to a level two from one tonight. you will notice reds and oranges popping up. we have heavier rainfall return.

the intensity of the rain has picked up. as we widen the picture the national weather service is tracking what appears to be an intense cell just off the coastline. it's moving northeast. it will head in to the area in the next half hour. heavy ran fall from san ramon valley road and returns around concord, concord boulevard and when we loop the radar, you will see lightning strikes off the coast. those strikes have died down and over cells are developing. reports of flooding around the bay area. four reports still, as we take a look at the storm, it's not quite through with us yet. we have cold unstable air that is coming in. as we have it coming be winds gusty, well below 30

marin county, causing minor flooding. in sonoma county this afternoon, storms caused challenges for drivers on highway 101 n petalmua, i talked with the janoma brothers, they are hoping to not have the same issues with the rain tonight as last night. brian said, that he had to pull someone out of a ditch. >> i do it usually about once a month or so. wherever there's a big rain. people on the windy roads try the take a corner too fast and keep a chain in the pick up and just have to do it. >> reporter: they were able to get dinner with their grandparents during the lull in the storm. no umbrella tonight. >> no umbrella. taking a chance with hoods. >> reporter: throughout downtown petalmua, umbrellas, were in order and one sd she is done with the rain. >> i'm tired of rain. i know we need it. but i think we have enough. >> reporter: we are getting our first up close look at homes damaged by

land slides. two slides hit five homes in the oakland hills and debris is still moving. three of the homes have been red tagged. a wall of mud, four feet deep covered outside walls and a lot of it oozed inside. the red cross is helping the affected families. >> this is damage done to the tree has been removed and chopped up and on the side of the building as you can is see from the helicopter. it's not been announced how long it will be closed. >> as we deal with rain, high winds have sunk a barge. >> katie? >> reporter: more rain and wind are not helping recovery efforts of this barge. which is at the bottom of the bay, about a half mile east of the island. now, divers did plug fuel vents

today, helping to slow or stop any leakage of fuel, recovery efforts could take days. this picture shows a sinking barge, that now rests at the bottom of the bay. last night's high winds took it down. the barge was in place for maintenance work on the transbay tube. it's owned by vortex marine construction. >> it's what the divers use as the base, and then they dive down the replace these metal pieces that attract corrosion so the tube does not get coroded. >> the barge is tethered to anchors so they are not worried about it moving. but fuel lakes remain to be a concern. gusts up to 60 miles an hour, also pounded sail and powerboats for a boat show in richmond. >> lines were snapping. it was chaos. and not to mention it was

point. we have more on the attempt to get the shark back in the water. >> a white shark in the shallow waters, dangerously close to the beach. the young adult male appeared at around 3:00 this afternoon. it was struggling and clearly distressed. it attracted quite a crowd. >> there was a great white shark on the beach in the news. of course i'm coming down. >> they posted photos and video. rescuers from the shark foundation, arrived on the screen and tried to help the shark back in the ocean. >> we were able to get the shark up righted and in the water. it just kind of turned around, it was not -- it was aimless, apparently there's steerage issues and it does not know where it's at. darkness fell and the shark's headlight deteriorated further. >> it was -- the shark's health deteriorated further. >> it was washing up and hitting
