floating around there. and we are colder this morning, but we're and warm up today with sunshine, showing some of that cloud cover. plan on a cool afternoon. a couple 60s by 4:00. >> all lanes of 280 in san jose are back open this morning after a fatal crash involving three cars. it happened just after u 2:30 this morning. another caught on fire, at least one person was killed. more developing news now out of martinez. investigators are trying to figure out how two cars caught on fire in the

engulfed. just massive flames. it caught the garage on fire all within seven minutes and it was a huge fire. they got here just in the nick of time. a few minutes later and that house would have been torched. noises, the residents were inside at the time. police are looking at surveillance video for their first homicide of the year. it happened in broad yesterday. sergio cantana has the details. family of the victim watched as the coroner removed the body from the dark colors bmw sedan. they would not talk to us about

stand ford. they both happened on escondido road between 10:30 at 11:00 at night. one woman was walking, one was jogging. they were approached from behind by a man who groped them. in napa county, dozens of people dropped out of a triathlon because they were not dressed for the unexpectedly cold weather yesterday morning. after swimming through the lake, they started the cycling portion and pouring rains hit. about 30 people in the series had to be treated for hypothermia. >> i would say probably 25% of the people dropped out. just out of pure -- this is too cold, it's insane. it took an hour for me to stop shivering. i came from virginia to race

40s concord and the delta. it is a nice day today. sunny, on the cool side. a chance of showers from sanoma county overnight. it looks like sunny skies returning for the rest of your monday. it is wednesday and thursday that we're going to see more rain. so we're dry all day today. look at the time line, it is midnight tonight. santa rosa is about it and we'll get back into sunshine on monday. amounts, maybe a 10th, maybe more than that, a couple hundredths in napa, that should do it. getting the roadways wet there, today how about upper 50s in the city. definitely on the cooler side of afternoon, but it is sunny, we'll take it, right?

coming up it will not be as cold because we have cloud cover, but we're also looking at this right here with a little precip. we could see a stray shower keeping us in the 40s, looking at that home opener tomorrow, pretty nice even though it will be also on the cool side. 1:35, 57 degrees, looking at about 60 degrees. so that system on the middle of the week on wednesday and thursday, at most we could see a half inch of rain. so the seven day forecast, 50s to near 60 today. by tuesday we have a shower there. we could so a light shower with the cloud cover later in the day. it is wednesday that i think we will see the maintivi activity.

winter showers have definitely brought april flowers. take a look at this, also a record number of visitors to a southern california open space. video from the bureau of land management shows the wildflower super bloom. right now there are dozens of flower species in full bloom. the photographer who took this amazing video says he has never seen anything like this before. extra staff has been added to handle all of the visitors. handle all of the visitors. this incredible bloom is expected to be around for about two more weeks. volunteers help make
