president did. stronger now, in fact, than when president obama faced that same situation because when president obama didn't act, i think the use of military response has to be the last response, not the first. >> 400,000 people in syria have been killed, men, women and children. over 5 million people have been displaced. this is a horror show. yes, we have got to destroy isis. yes, we eventually have got to get rid of assad. but we cannot, in my view, do it unilaterally. >> u.n. ambassador nikki haley suggested since they launched more war planes after the strike, the president may need to take new actions including removing bashar al-assad from power. some in the president's own party are confused about the path forward but in support of the strike. >> what comes next? i'm glad trump did this. he is no longer obama in the eyes of our enemies, but he needs to do more to close the deal. there is a new sheriff in town. >> i think what the president did was an excellent first step

jeep's bumper going 10 miles an hour. but he lost control of the skateboard, crashed and hit his head on the pavement. neighbors heard a loud noise. >> i heard the thud. he was already on the ground. my heart dropped. >> when i saw him he was completely unconscious and lying on the floor not moving. >> mche will roy was not wearing a helmet. the jeep belonged to one of his friends who is cooperating with police. in marin county an accused drunk driver lost control and crashed into a sheriff's deputy overnight. they shared these photographs. just after 3:00 this morning he hit the suv head on after coming around the curve. the deputy went to the hospital with minor injuries. the driver is in jail accused of driving under the influence. explosions woke a neighborhood in martinez. large booms started around 2:00 this morning coming from a burning vehicle on phyllis terrace. flames spread to another car and a house.

if you did some holiday shopping online at game stop, you might want to keep an eye on your credit cards. hackers may have stolen credit card information from the store's online customers, that includes names, addresses, credit card numbers, expiration dates, even the three-digit security codes. they were reportedly stolen between september and february. game stop said it received notification of a potential breach from a third-party and has hired a top security firm to investigate. a mountain lion invaded a california home forcing the family to hide in the pantry. it happened in a rural city off highway 50 on the way to tahoe. the reporter has the story. >> reporter: marked off he was making dinner at his rural home with his wife and kids when a most unwelcome guest wandered in. >> so, i come around this corner here, like this and i look, and i see the door ajar. but then i look down right here

an institution in san francisco's lgbtq community celebrated a big milestone while looking forward to the future today. ♪ singers performed and a marching band played outside the center on market street. it is celebrating the grand reopening after more than $10 million in renovations. this year marks 15 years since the center opened. abc 7 news was also at san francisco's lake merced when

look. we're looking south along the coast. san francisco in the background, really just a nice evening to be out soaking in the sunshine. that sun going down at 7:40 p.m. out there right now, the mixed bag of numbers. along the coast right off the ocean cool 54 san francisco, about 55 half moon bay, away from the coast we are not as breezy. 62 current number san ramon, 61 san jose and vallejo, right now 63 degrees. overnight tonight, not as cold as you were last night. no frost advisory in effect tonight. temperatures holding across the board from the coast to the bay. and inland the mid and upper 40s and no spots for your starting temperatures on monday. future weather showing you there is going to be a weak front that is going to cross over us in the early morning hours on monday. what it will try and do, give us a light sprinkle in the north bay before the sun gets up, but it really fizzles out quickly. what it will do for the rest of the region, add a few more clouds into the sky by monday afternoon. so, here's the call on your monday. still comfortable temperatures,

a blend of sun and clouds out there. 64 the high in oakland tomorrow, 68 in san jose, about 60 in san francisco. morning sprinkle in santa rosa, 63 elsewhere, 65 vallejo, the same in antioch. a system with much more moisture than the one monday morning comes in tuesday. this one gets a number, it's going to be a 1. a light system on the storm impact scale. not a lot of moisture, but still light showers bringing about a tenth to a quarter of an inch of rain in the north bay, less than that probably drizzle to as much as a tenth of an inch elsewhere. it's time now for future weather. tuesday morning get you into about 7, 8:00 in the morning, time stamp p, here comes a little light rain moving through the region. and really tuesday just an unsettled day. on and off light showers, not raining the entire day, but you may need to pop up the umbrella for 10 or 15 minutes. then another system moves in here on wednesday evening. this one will also get a 1. a light system on the storm index scale. these are not strong systems at all but we're still seeing the wet weather pattern continue

into april. once in the north bay we'll see the highest totals, not a lot of rain, quarter to half an inch outside the north bay. probably a 10 to a quarter. the winds will not be damage being. 10 to 25 miles per hour. so some good news there. time this out on future weather. wednesday night the rain begins in the north, early morning hours thursday it will sink south to give light showers for the rest of the morning on thursday. the accuweather forecast plan the next 7 days for you. tomorrow outside the north bay you're going to be dry. it's a mixture of sunshine and clouds out there. scattered showers for tuesday. showers at night on wednesday, could linger into thursday, a break friday into saturday, and then, eric, another round of showers easter sunday. but right now the timing for the holiday on sunday would be after sunset. so, looks like a lot of the morning services which would be a-okay. >> okay, i'll take a pass. let's check in with rick for a look at the sports. >> announcer: now sports from abc 7 news.

>> the final round of the masters turned out to be a dual between sentimental favorite sergio garcia and justin rose. they began the day tied for the lead and needed a playoff to decide the winner. matt kuchar tied for fourth but had a shot of the day par 3 16th. his ball will wind its way back to the hole and go in for an ace. kuchar shot a 67 to finish 5 under, four strokes off the lead. he also made a little boy's day by signing the ball and giving him a memory he will never forget. after falling behind with bogeys on 10 and 11, garcia eagled 15 to get to 9 under and gain a share of the lead. rose would go back in front by making this birdie putt on 16. but he faltered on 17, missing this putt for par. then on 18, rose with a chance for birdie, ball just rolls past the cup. he cannot believe it. it was in sergio's turn with a

chance to win the tournament. but his putt is also off the mark. so, they go to sudden death. on a first extra hole, a poor tee shot by rose left the door open for garcia, and this time he would close the deal, making a birdie for the victory. so, finally at age 37, sergio no longer has to wear the label of best player never to win a major. the masters is his, and with it the traditional green jacket. >> i knew i was playing well. i felt today, i felt a calmness i never felt in a major on a major sunday. i still believe that there are a lot of holes i could get to. and i hit some really good shots coming in. >> with the giants off to a 1 and 5 start, they signed outfielder up tan, jr., to a minor league contract. up ton had a 238 last season for toronto. let's go to san diego where the

giants were trying to avoid a three-game sweep. already up 2-0, san francisco added on in the third, hunter pence with his first homer of the season, makes it 4-0. the next batter is buster posy and he clubs an opposite field shot off clayton richard, his first of the year, 5-0 giants. johnny be good, turned in a strong outing striking out 7 over 7 innings. through the 9th picked up this first save getting meyers to hit into a game ending double play. giants win 5-3. they play their home opener tomorrow afternoon against arizona. it was umbrella giveaway day in texas. early in the contest, a's pitcher was also in trouble. two on in the second, joey gallow takes him deep just like that. it was 3-0 rangers. he would settle down, striking out six straight at one point. he finished with 10 ks over 5 and a third innings. texas added three runs in the 6th and two more in the eighths.

this last blast, raiders went 8-1. they take two out of three in the series. tomorrow a's are at kansas city. in denver russell westbrook was looking to set the most triple doubles in the season. he was one shy of the mark. he knocks down this three. he would get the record on this assist to christian who drains the triple. westbrook would finish with 50 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists for his 42nd triple double of the season. westbrook also came up big down the stretch, down by 4 with 30 seconds left. he splits the d, then right before the buzzer he hits a three-pointer to give oklahoma city a stunning 106-105 victory. that win eliminates denver from the playoffs. >> it was something i could never imagine. being here on the biggest stage in basketball, it's truly a blessing. i'm thankful to play the game i love. >> so, the nuggets losing, that means the warriors will face portland and damian lillard in the first round.
