the secretary of state is traveling to moscow. we are joined live now from washington. good morning, maggie. >> the white house has found itself right in the middle of this high stakes showdown. now the secretary of state is trying to mend the tense relationship between the two superpowe superpowers. >> overnight, rex tillerson is making his way to moscow as the u.s. and russia find themselves add odds. the military commander is defending the assad regime in syria saying the united states crossed red lines by attacking syria, and threatening to retaliate against any future military actions, adding russia and iran will not allow the united states to be the only superpower in the world. the united states is still investigating whether the russians were involved in the chemical attack last week that killed more than 80 syrian

civilians. but ahead of his trip, secretary tillerson says he has seen no hard evidence suggesting a russian connection and insists the plan in syria remains the same, defeat isis. >> in that regard we are hopeful we can work with russia and use their influence to achieve areas of stabilization throughout syria. >> but nikki haley suggested another priority while on cnn. >> we don't see a peaceful syria with assad in there. >> and ambassador haley is about this. >> that should be a strong message to assad and to his sponsors, who are enabling his campaign of mass murder against his own civilians. >> secretary tillerson is expected in russia tomorrow night where he plans to meet with the russian foreign minister. this trip will be his most high profile yet as secretary of state. in washington, abc7 news.

these young women to learn an array of skills. >> i take ap computer science at school but it's a completely different kind of frame of mind when you are working with actual code and can you see the results in a fully functioning robot. >> i love math and science and all this stuff, and it's a place where it's more creative, and it's like, practical. >> i am not going to be in a classroom using a power drill or ban saw. >> they are going to houston for the world championships, and the misfits will be one of a few all female teams there, and they launched ago fund me campaign to help with expenses and they are hoping the robot will have the strong showing. >> we are not the fastest but a very detpepbtable robot. >> as a rookie team, they will be the underdogs, and who doesn't like cheering on the underdogs? >> we are rooting for them.

our storm impact scale for tomorrow, scattered showers, and rain potential, about a tenth of an inch in the south bay. doesn't look like there will be any damage out of it, and that's why it's a one, light. and rain in the same area where it's right now and that's where it's going to stay through the lunch hour, and then scattered showers in the evening commute and overnight hours and then to wednesday morning. wednesday morning it starts to clear up a little bit. by the afternoon and into the evening hours it will look at the north bay and that's the staupbger part of the storm. we will wake up on thursday morning. that will probably be the toughest morning commute because of the wet weather during the overnight hours. notice those temperatures, only one day possibly at 70 and that would be late into saturday. we will take a look at your bay bridge drive. right now no delays on the upper
