>> and good morning, i'm kate larsen. a few calf is born, april the giraffe, who many have been watching for months, is finally giving birth to a healthy calf less than an hour after the calf is already standing up. so very exciting news, this happened, of course, in her pen at the adventure park zhao in new york. the park began providing a youtube stream in february. over a million people have watched her deliver. april is a mom times four and the cool bart is the baby's name will be determined by a contest. so you can weigh in then on this very famous baby at this point. good morning, it is saturday, april 15th. i'm kate larsen. we will start with a quick look

when firefighters arrived, one person taken out of the house was pronounced dead at the scene. the fire was out in about 40 minutes, right now the cause is under investigation. a sunnydale man is facing two counts of vehicular manslaughter and dui after hitting a car with four million. the women were at a holy mass. they tell us the victims including a mother and daughter. >> i know it's bad. >> reporter: jeff says his 92-year-old grandmother was devoted to her religion and angela and her daughters and niece were out going church to church for the stations of the cross, they were leaving our lady of peace around 11:30 the chp says a 26-year-old was drunk and speeding when he lost control of his car. getting on to great american

at 10:00, they will gather at mlk civic center park. two hours later the trump supporters will hold their rally at the same spot. they will have a presence at the park located at 2151 mlk, jr., way. the city of merced have arrested a san francisco man on suspicion of murdering a victim of human trafficking. her body was found in a dump ter on february 6th. she emigrated to the u.s. from china last year. police say she was brought here to work in the sex trade. police arrested 50-year-old lee at the san mateo auto shop where he works t. two have been romantically involved. but the relationship turned violent. they lived in the bay area and had no known ties to merced. bart is recovering from an equipment problem this morning that is delaying service to the east bay. we don't know if it's the same

problem that crippled service yesterday. the mysterious issue damaged two cars late friday. here's abc 7 news reporter. >> reporter: commuters headed to pitsburg bay point were greeted by vested bart workers. one stop short of their final destination. an electrical problem on the tracks between these two stations seems to affect longer trains, so bart used shorter trains to shuttle people between north concord to pitsburg. it was troubling for some riders. >> they had electrical problems and had to switch to a shuttle trade. yeah. >> reporter: she was trying to get to the last stop on this line to pick up her son and go back home to oakland. she had to have her baby-sitter drive them here before heading home. some commuters told us they

could smell something burning. >> all the way up here. it smelled like burning brake fluid. >> it smelled like electrical or burning brakes. >> reporter: this problem started around 10:00 a.m., they spent the day tracking down what caused the electrical system to go haywire. last year it lasted for weeks and damaged cars. the problem eventually went away. even though the problem has not been found. so san francisco is testing out four types of durable bike lane posts to find a perfect one that can put up with all the wear and tear of crazy market street traffic. the flexible posts are supposed to be able to bend when cars drive over them. now, similar posts have been tested in the past by the nta and were damaged by cars and bikes that inevitably ran into them t. city says it will compare the posts in a few weeks to see which one stand up the best

our time, three hours later a baby calf was born. a lot of people were watching online. people were watching for months. in february, they set up a youtube, over 1 million watched as she brought her fourth calf into the world t. calf is already standing umm. as for the baby's name, that will be determined by a contest. can you go online, pay dollar to the zhao and enter your nomination. a justice and equality group the accusing united airlines of racial discrimination after the now infamous incident. the passenger is a vietnamese-american doctor. now a local group is demanding a number of things of united. apc 7 news reporter has the story. >> reporter: shortly after the world witnessed this video of a passenger being dragged off the plane, the man's lawyer says he received an e-mail comparing his client to rosa parks. china and most recently vietnam have now expressed their outrage over the incident.
