number one, authorities say the 15-year-old thomas who was found safe in northern california after being kidnapped five weeks ago is going to reunite with her family in tennessee today. her teacher, cummins, is scheduled to be arraigned this morning after being arrested yesterday. the man accused of gunning down three men in fresno on monday will be arraigned in a few hours for another murder. yesterday the d.a. charged kori muhammad with the shooting death of a motel 6 security guard. and now the university said and now the university said it postponed the group that invited her is threatening to sue. and a suv slam spwaod a building overnight, and now the building is being inspected to

this is kind of a one and done, and i will tell you why it's going to be cooler this weekend and a chance of rain coming up in the accuweather 7-day forecast. we have the metering lights on for the bay bridge toll plaza. pretty early, and i thought we would get a few more minutes before they flipped those on, and now that that has happened we are starting to fill in, and that's one of the only slow spots so far this morning. westbound 580, castro valley to the maze, 14. and northbound 101, 280 and to the split, 13 minutes. an unusual situation where a car drove into a building. tiffany wilson is live for us in san jose. tiffany. >> reporter: the suv was driving down jackson avenue just past the regional medical center when it left the road and slammed

into this tree before careening into the side of this medical office building. you can see the damage. now if you take a look at the video you can see that suv when it was lodged into the side of the building. san jose police and fire both responding but by the time they got here the driver had already taken off. in the video you can see there's water that was spilling out of the building and the fire department had to turn off the building's water, and since we arrived a building engineer has been on the site inis that correcting structural integrity, and at this point it seems the sa build something safe to enter, but the water is still off. at this point when we spoke to a building representative, they do believe they will be able to open the building for business as usual later today. live in san jose, tiffany wilson, abc7 news. >> thank you, tiffany. a man and woman are in jail this morning on attempted murder

charges for an unbelievable crime. police are saying they created a plot to kill an 11-month-old baby. worse than that, we are learning this may not be the first time this suspects brooks and ibe tried to kill that child. brooks asked the baby's mother to meet him at a mcdonald's in san leandro on monday afternoon so he could see his son, but then brooks was in the area but never went out side the restaurant, instead, ibe went inside shooting a single shot at very close range, but missed the mother and child. brooks' aunt says she does not believe her nephew was actually involved. >> he would never ever -- i'm saying ever be involved in nothing like this. >> court documents say brooks and ibe who have a 5-year-old child together tried to kill the baby once before. at the end of march brooks was accused of luring the mother and

we are looking at a chaotic moment after yesterday's shooting. the acting directing general of a state news be there and caught it on video. he was speaking in arabic there saying there was a shooting. the shooter has been identified but police are not releasing his name. the suspect spent years in prison for trying to kill police officers. he was released in 2015. a 15-year-old tennessee girl that disappeared more than a month ago was found yesterday in a remote area of california is expected to be reunited with her family today. >> the teacher, tad cummins been charged with taking a minor across straight lines to have sex. there was a five-week-long

we have new details in the death of former patriots football star, aaron hernandez. his family is in court today fighting to preserve evidence from his suicide. he hanged himself in a cell on wednesday. hernandez was serving a life sentence for the murder of odin lloyd. meanwhile hernandez's family is donating his brain for research linked to the disease because of concussions. bill o'reilly getting $25 million in severance pay, and that's equivalent to one year of his salary. fox is parting ways with o'reilly. and shares of fox news gained ground since o'reilly was let go. prince was found dead at his
