smash-and-grab thieves from the apple store. >> abc 7 news reporter is live in the village with new details on the suspects. >> police say their focus today is trying to get the surveillance video from the apple store here to figure out who is doing this. here's a look at what the store looked like after the robbery here. notice the counter tops with empty spaces. police say five young people, teens or early 20s, and grabbed lek tonics and ran away. there were a few customers still inside. >> must have been shocking for the people working in the store. you don't think of that thing happening when a store is open like that. yeah, not -- feels uncomfortable. yeah. >> i think it's terrible.

aren't there people watching? isn't it all recorded? i would hope it would be. >> reporter: there's been several attacks, mostly during the holiday shopping season. this is video of a group stealing from the san francisco store on chestnut street in december. the store's in berkley, palo alto have been hit with similar attacks. all the police departments are working together to try and find the people who are doing this. no one has been hurt. we reached out to management here at the village shopping center to see if they are adding security or how to react to this. we're waiting to hear back, and apple has not commented on the attack. >> police are looking through surveillance video hoping to identify 60 teens who robbed g passengers on the train saturday. they stole from riders, even

a suspect killed by a wild police chase in southern california. we showed you the case live on abc 7 mornings. it started this morning in long beach after the suspect reportedly stole a car. the chase on freeways and surface streets reached speeds of 90 miles per hour. it ended in bellflower when the suspect drove into a parking lot. they drove towards the police and that's when officers opened fire. you see it here, a suspect climbed out of the car window and was taken into custody, and police later pulled a second suspect from the car. that second suspect pronoujsed dead at the scene. a former "bachelor" star in court, accused of leaving the scene of a deadly crash in iowa.

chris soules was taken into custody last night with reports he drove a car that rear ended a tractor, and the driver of the tractor died. soules was arrested after witnesses identified him and called the police. he starred in the 19th season of the bachelor in 2015. people in san francisco's mission district not happy about a new temporary homeless shelter planned for the neighborhood. the location is an empty building on an adjacent lot. at a community meeting, residents said not here, not now, and while centers wanted to open as quickly as possible. >> i know we need to do this, but adding 120 area is not the right solution, and, also, they end it with no exit plan. that's the issue. >> every single day we delay, folks living on the streets are still out on the streets and are not getting the services they need, and neighbors still continue to have to deal with

yesterday, especially away from the coast in san francisco, 61, 64, and 65 in the bay, and 70 inland. you can see some breaks in the higher thinner clouds than yesterday. heading out at noon, 58 at the coast, 63 in the bay, 59-653:00, and 58-62 at 6:00. breezier at the water than other areas. that's going to keep temperatures below average. a cool evening. temperature around 56-57 at 8:00. guess what. it is irish heritage night at the giants game. dodgers and giants tonight at 7:15, dropping down to 57 and breezy there. tonight's temperatures about 50-56 degrees. the breezes and clouds keep the temperatures up. here we are at 4:00 tomorrow morning. you see a few dots of green, drizzle, but the end of the commute, rain in the north bay, scattered, for us, highly scattered at noon into 4:00, and even through 7:00.
