>>. that's what's making thank yous in h america this morning. making news in america this morning -- the trump administration unveiling its tax plan this wednesday. calling for massive cuts. who is set to benefit from it? also happening today, all 100 u.s. senators at the white house to talk about the situation in north korea. we're live in washington. a rough reception for ivanka trump during her first international trip as an adviser. the crowd booed after she said her father is a champion for families. new this morning, bill cosby speaking out for the first time in two years amid sexual assault allegations. what he says about performing yet again. overnight, the pope holds a surprising ted talk. hear his message to world leaders.

we do say good morning, everybody. we start with a busy day on tap for president trump, addressing the crisis with north korea while taking on tax reform here at home. >> the president is unveiling what he calls the biggest tax cuts in u.s. history. >> in the meantime, the white house is facing more fallout over fired national security adviser michael flynn and his connections with russia. lawmakers now say flynn may have committed a crime. >> reporter: diane and kendis, good morning. there are a couple of briefings taking place on the white house grounds today. one on the situation with knot korea. the other on president trump's much anticipated tax plan. it promises big tax cuts. today's the day president trump releases his hyped up tax plan.

they barrel through the trump's 100th day in office. the proposal is expected to call for cutting taxes for corporations and companies like his, and small businesses, from 35% to 15%. a tax break for child care expenses. and cutting individual tax rates. also happening today, all 100 u.s. senators will be briefed on the situation in north korea. on white house grounds. >> the secretary of state and others are going to talk about our posture and the activities that we're undergoing. the chairman will lay out some of the military a federal judge has blocked an executive order that threatened to cut funding from so-called sanctuary cities. the judge says the president has no authority to attach new conditions to spending approved by congress. the ruling stems from two lawsuits from san francisco and santa clara county. reince priebus slammed it.

ivanka trump is accepting the rough reception he received in berlin as politics. her first official trip abroad for the president, she shared the stage with angela merkel and other powerful women. hen she called her father a champion on families, the crowd reacted like this. >> he's been a tremendous champion of supporting families and ennabling him to thrive. >> you hear the reaction from the audience. >> i have heard the criticism from the media and that's been perpetuated. >> ivanka trump continues to defend her father saying thousands of women who have worked for him are a testament that women can do a job just as well as any man. and trade tensions are on the rise between the u.s. and canada, despite a conversation between president trump and canadian prime minister justin trudeau. they had a discussion yesterday,

following an announcement on new tariffs on lumber. tr trudeau says quote a thickening border could be harmful for both countries. let's take a look at today's weather opinion on radar, the april soaker in the east moves into new england. the system that already produced heavy rainfall is in connecticut and massachusetts after battering the new york city and philadelphia areas overnight. we're tracking threats in the heartland starting tomorrow. winds, tornadoes, large hail all in play from shreveport, louisiana, to st. louis, missouri. it's the start of a very active pattern there with the potential of the largest system over the weeke weekend. doctors expect former president george h.w. bush to be discharged from a houston hospital by tend of the week. he's fighting off the effects of

the sawmill wildfire south of tucson has now grown to 20,000 acres in the coronado national forest.

about 100 residents have been evacuated with ohs on preevacuation notice. strong winds are contributing to the fire's growth. one of the main freeways in los angeles is open this morning after a fiery crash blocked traffic for hours. one person is dead and at least ten injured after the accident. investigators believe a box truck crossing the center divider trig terd accident. it took eight hours for all lanes to finally reopen. drugs may be more of a problem on our roads than alcohol. statistics show more drivers killed in traffic test positive for drugs than alcohol. this comes as more states legalize marijuana. the group says states have to address the problem of drug-impaired drivers. a possible data breach is giving chipotle leaders some heart burn.

charged with leaving the scene of a fatal accident. >> the driver of the u unconscious in the ditch. >> reporter: according to reports, he rear ended a tractor on a rural road, killing the driver, kenneth mosher, one of soules' neighbors in this close-knit community. alcohol was found at the scene of the accident. soules has not been charged with driving under the incident. >> and man related to the victim's family is coming to soules' defense. he knows the former bachelor comes from a good family and he calls the zept a huge mistake. arizona officials are now questioning a man about a series of apaurntly random shootings last year in phoenix. aaron sesida is already in jail charged with a single murder not connected to the poerps the street shootings left seven

people dead and two injured. meanwhile, another phoenix serial shooting case remains unsolved. bill cosby has granted a rare interview before his assault trial. he did talk about his future. when asked if he misses performing, cosby said, darn right. i miss it all. he says he's been working on routines and hopes to one day return to the stage. jeb bush and derek jeter could soon be business partners. reports say a group led by the former yankees star and the former governor will be buying the miami marlins for $1.3 billion. the baseball commissioner says several bids are still being considered. >> interesting pairing. the nhl playoffs roar back to life tonight with the start of the second round. >> and the nba playoffs are rolling along. last night's highlights now from espn. good morning, america.

dropping. good morning. i am starting off with a rollover crash in the cornelia area, and it looked like it was a solo vehicle collision but there are a couple more vehicles in the area so they may be involved as well. we have reports of debris and glass across all of the lanes, and so far we are not seeing delays. a minor issue in the south bay we will check on coming up next. it appears somebody beat a woman at south 4th and east san carlos streets. matt keller is there gathering information. >> reporter: the last police officer left here about ten minutes ago along with the crime scene cleaners. we are standing across from san jose university and this happened at the jack-in-the-box with the victim making it all the way to the corner of san

carlos and fourth street. a group of females attacked another woman and she was beaten up at the jack-in-the-box and the victim was taken to the hospital and i was told she's going to be okay and i was told she is not a san jose state student. no arrests have been made. police are calling this an assault and battery. reporting live in san jose, matt keller, abc7 news. and then a shooting left two people in critical condition just before 7:30 last night. investigators say the two victims were sitting in a parked car when another car drove by. both victims were hit by gunfire. police are still searching for the shooter. b.a.r.t. police are not taking questions after the flash mob takeover robbery on one of the trains this weekend. several teens were spotted last night around 7:00 and they entered without paying and

headed for the platform, and b.a.r.t. ordered two trains to stop and it kept going and the teens took off. saturday night at the coliseum steugs up to 60 teams swarmed a train and robbed and beat riders as the train waited to leave. the trump administration is vowing to appeal a federal judge's ruling on sanctuary cities. >> this executive order is dead -- >> a victory party. a judge ruled president trump cannot withhold federal money
