this was near benicia road and taylor avenue right after midnight. there were people trapped inside but firefighters didn't find anybody, and the police department said they were able to knock it down in ten minutes and the fire was reported by somebody driving by, and at this point they are still investigating what started it. reggie? a couple stories on the president's agenda. he is planning to renegotiate nafta despite a campaign of pulling out it entirely, and terminating the deal with require six months notice. during the campaign, the president called nafta the worst trade deal ever signed by the u.s. president trump's new tax reform is out and the team is calling it the biggest tax in history.

his arrest is part of an ongoing investigation that began two months ago. another cable car worker was arrested last week. williams was accused of stealing at least $900 in fares. and b.a.r.t. is seeking arrest warrants to capture teens in a mob attack over the weekend. investigators identified them using surveillance video from the train car and that surveillance has not been publicly released. up to 60 teens swarmed the trains robbing and beating passengers. the b.a.r.t. board of directors are discussing ways to reduce fare evasion. they are proposing a plan to catch cheeaters. officials are also considering electronic hand ticket readers that would check tickets on the platform or trains.

the b.a.r.t. board is expected to make a decision before the budget decision in june. and then keeping city workers from going on strike. the contract dispute involves 450 employees. union leaders want a 17% raise to keep up with silicon valley's high skacost of living and the y has offered 10%. and then the health care plan is moving forward. the committee voted yesterday to send the proposal to the appropriations committee, and it replaces insurance companies with government funded health care. critics say the measure would require high taxes and likely create longer waits to see a doctor. water managers are dropping most but not all of the mandatory water restrictions

imposed tkaor the drought. now that the governor declared an end to the drought state of emergency, it will make water conservation a way of life. watering 48 hours after it rains and over watering to the point where water is running on to a sidewalk or gutter will not be tolerated. we are starting off with a problem in the east bay with b.a.r.t. this morning. a full closer of the richmond station. this is all due to a power outage, so they are not sure what caused that and have crews on the scene, but that station is totally dark. that is fully closed so the end of the line at this point is now el cerrito dell nor tea. it's not impacting any other stations and they are saying we will get the service restored as soon as possible so we will update you as soon as we have new information.
