cold and windy out here. reporting live in san francisco, amy hollyfield, abc7 news. >> talk about a sign of the times. thank you so much. the san mateo sheriff's office is investigating when a car hit a woman in millbrae around 10:30 last night. she was in the crosswalk at the time this happened. no word yet on her condition this morning. new developments involving a shooting with a san francisco police this week. it's not the first time the officer has fired his weapon on duty. he shot and wounded a man in january and this is a photo cha the night of that evening. on wednesday, the officer shot and killed a man that was stabbing an employee at the stand witch subway shot and he pointed a gun at them and cha

we don't know how long they were trapped there, and both hikers doing fine and don't have major kwreuri injuries. the coast guard is going to start the process of rotating the barge upright early on sunday morning. most of the work will be done below the water surface and it will take several weeks to up right the ship and tow it away. the bart sank during a storm last month. and voters can decide whether to eliminate the gas tax and vehicle increase. there was an initiative filed to repeal the brand-new law that governor brown just signed last week. the gas tax funds more than $5 billion annuall annually

the justice department is opening a criminal probe into uber's use of software to invade regulators. gray ball let uber deploy a fake version of its app. the company says it used the software to conceal the locations of drivers from competitors or would-be attackers. and then ap a woman here does not speak english but french, and gate agents let her on the wrong flight. instead of checking her boarding pass, flight attendants put her in another one. her family says they are concerned about united's security lapse. >> this is not about money. this is about united airline

california is a step closer to moving our presidential primary from june to march. the state senate voted to approve the change. the state assembly passed a similar measure last month. the goal is to give the state more political influence. our primary last year happened after donald trump and hillary clinton had become the presumptive nominees. and the first roots community health center opened it's doors in alameda. it will indicator to african-american ancestry. it wanted to address discrepancies in the community. a state senator leno is that the first person to throw his hat in what is expected to be a crowded field.

for the better part of the afternoon and evening hours. upper 60s to low 70s in the south bay. it will be a breezy 62 at millbrae, to a breezy 66 in redwood city. only mid to upper 50s along the coast with blowing sand possible today. 60 in downtown san francisco. hard to believe we were 23 degrees warmer just a couple days ago. north bay upper 60s to low 70s. santa rosa, sonoma, and calistoga and napa. mid to upper 60s along the east bay shore with oakland at 64. as you head into the valleys, 69 to 72 degrees. it's going to be a cool one again tonight. look at all the 40s, and even cooler than this morning, thanks to a partly cloudy sky. my accuweather 7-day forecast, a few stray showers tomorrow and then milder and not as breezy on sunday and the warmest days look like monday and tuesday before another slight chance of rain rolls in on wednesday. are those drops on the lens? >> yeah, they are, mike. we both had to flip our wipers

vehicle sitting in the far right lane, and unfortunately somebody ran into the vehicle so i am not sure how serious that is, but we have one lane blocked and chp is on the way to the scene, so that was a stalled vehicle and that turned into a collision. next traffic update coming in at 5:00 p.m. a company suing starbucks oer the unicorn cappuccino. a brooklyn cafe says as a result customers got confused. you see this brooklyn cafe has something called the unicorn latte which it introduced months ago in december, and many people assumed it was the same thing starbucks was serving up and the cafe wants $10 million and a public apology. starbucks says the lawsuit is without merit. they say death and taxes, taxes are something we can't escape and they may become a thing in space.
