door looked like it melted there but that is it. firefighters protected the home but the car is destroyed. they got the call at 12:26 this morning to come here to larky and leroy lanes here in walnut creek, and just as they got the fire out they got another call 15 minutes later a car was in fire in lafayette, padre street, just two miles away. these are not the only two car fires this week here in cause trau c, and that call came in at 3:45 in the morning, and the car was parked in the driveway, so a lot of similarities here between these cases. this time firefighters came right out of the gate that time saying this one looked suspicious. three car fires in the same county in the same week, and firefighters saved all of the homes and nobody has been hurt. at this point they tell me they

with russia. senior white house adviser, kellyanne conway, explained the president's sudden decision. >> all i will say as president of the united states he needs confidence in his fbi director and he doesn't have it. >> andrew mccabe is now the acting fbi director and president trump will have to nominate a new director that will be confirmed by the senate. here's a few names possibly to replace comey, former jewel rguilian guiliani, and chris christie, and john pistol. despite comey's firing yesterday, a grand jury has issued subpoenas for associates of former national security adviser, michael flynn. cnn is reporting the subpoenas were issued to associates who worked with flynn after he was forced out of the defense

we have this stunning video come into our live desk of what firefighters are dealing with right now in georgia. this is the west mims fire and it's stubborn and dangerous. it has been raging through a national wildlife refuge on the georgia/florida state line for weeks now, and it's forcing major evacuations and schools have been closed for days and the fire already burned 40,000 acres so far. the massive 2015 valley fire in lake napa and sonoma county

until june and then there wa several no-cause evictions take place, and to stop that from happening the city council approved an emergency ordinance putting those protections in place immediately and the landlords must have a reason to evict. property owners worry the new ordinance will make it difficult to get rid of problem tenants, especially those that know how to work the system. matt keller, abc7 news. take a look at the flames shooting from this apartment in walnut creek. the two-alarm fire broke out last night. two adults and three kids lived inside of the apartment that burned and now they are okay and you can see how bad the damage is to their home. investigators are trying to determine what caused the fire. it has been an emotional week for the family of sierra lamar and it's not over yet.

searchers will continue to look for her body on saturday. and her killer, torres, in six days the jury will begin the penalty phase and it will be the same jury that convicted torres yesterday and they will decide whether he will be sentenced to life without parole or the death penalty. that process could take up to a month. san jose state university investigating the disappearance of this student, a 20-year-old, jacob greene, left for work in a lyft monday morning and has not been seen since. he is active on campus, and he does the radio casts for the sports. and greene's family flying up from orange county to help out for the search. and then donations pouring in for a cal rugly player that was paralyzed. he had to be taken off the field on a stretcher. doctors performed emergency surgery, and he is now paralyzed from the waist down with limited motion in his arms. >> a man of god, prays every

this week. abc 7 news re hollyfield, reporting live. >> reporter: we have a lot of damage to show you starting with this car here at walnut creek that burned overnight. it caught fire about 12:26 this morning. it's on the driveway at leroy lane and larkey lane. firefighters did save the home and they were busy overnight. 15 minutes later they got a call a car was on fire in lafayette, and that was on padre lane two miles away, and they got that fire out okay but these were not the only two car fires this week in this county. on martinez, this one on monday at 3:45 in the morning and that car parked in the driveway, and that was called suspic a spokes saying all of these are under investigation, and they certainly have a lot in common.

the good news is all of this, nobody has been hurt. amy hollyfield, abc7 news. if you use painkillers you might want to listen up. common painkillers are already known to raise the risk of a heart attack. now a new study shows the likelihood of a heart attack increased the likelihood b to 20%, and the risk increase as early as one week into taking the medication. researchers say doctors and parents should weigh the harm and benefit when prescribing the painkillers, especially when taking them for more than a couple days. and then this is not the right video, by the way. we are going to talk about dairy. and full fat, cheese, milk and yogurt will not increase the yogurt will not increase the risk of heart attacks
