be reunited with his loving mother. >> 1-year-old makai bangoura found hundreds of miles away. jason lam's toyota carolla, the car so many were on the lookout for, being spotted towed away. a tip that led to the child being found. the d.a.'s office said lam has joint custody of makai but didn't return him to his mother thursday night. a surveillance camera spotted the mother and son at a store near menlo park thursday. why the 24 hours passed before police were notified. >> as we continued our investigation we realized that this is one of those that we need an amber alert. >> i tried to stop him and the baby from leaving. >> his sister mary said her brother was not unstable or suicidal as reported by chp. >> he's never had any cuts on his arms, never showed any signs of being suicidasuicidal.
