>> a mother and her 2 1/2-year-old son were walking through promenade building when they were accosted by an adult female subject who began to yell at them and made some sort of comment and then grabbed for the child. >> it happened just after 9:30 this morning. fortunately the will promenade was full of people who described her as unstable. >> the suspect saying this was her son. other people were saying, no, i saw this other mother with the son. you could tell she was confused. and probably not stable. >> that's when a group of people came to the mother's defense, separating the suspect and holding her down. this employee didn't want her face shown. >> other people grabbed the woman and wrestled her to the ground, and they sat on her while police came. >> reporter: the family from missouri was visibly upset as they left the ferry building and didn't want to talk to anyone. police say they were offering the mother support to help her deal with the incident.

september. police arrested arrest-year-olarres. you might remember this. intruders broke into the home. she was severely beaten and died from her injuries weeks later. police arrested 19-year-old zachary after the incident, charging him with murder. another woman was arrested in march, accused of helping him. a san holds football player remains in serious condition. he was with friends when the group got into a fight with another group. miller is being treated at saint claira medical center. no arrests have been made. san francisco police are looking for someone involved in a home invasion. officers arrived around 11:00 last night. as they did, several suspects ran out the back door. that's when someone fired at

witnesses stopped a kidnapping at the ferry building today. a homeless woman approahed a woman and a little boy and said that's my son and grabbed him. employees held him until the police arrived. the boy wasn't hurt. a judge has denied bail for the three men in mississippi suspected of killing a 6-year-old. he was asleep in a car they were accused of stealing. police found the car with the boy shot to death. the suspects' family say they're inning. and she wants to build affordable housing for teachers on her land. president trump is on his second stop of a nine-day foreign tour. he is now in israel in search of what he calls the ultimate deal. the news has followed him overseas.

we're told the artist herself is okay. what's unclear is whether or not the explosion happened inside the arena or on the perimeter. police had tweeted out, before we got these images they were responding early on to some sort of explosion, urging people to stay away from area. they have confirmed multiple fatalities. and a number of injured right there at the scene. as i mentioned, the artist herself was rushed to a safe place. i want to bring in our chief foreign correspondent terry moran tonight. as i mentioned, this arena is famous in that region and perhaps one of the biggest in europe. >> reporter: it's certainly one of the main concert and sporting venues if the united kingdom and you could hear blocks away the size of that explosion. this explosion coming about 10:45 local time. not only rocked the arena and
