safely a little while ago. matt. >> reporter: good morning, reggie and natasha. what a relief to make it to their destination. certainly a frightening night. some of those passengers arrived here at sfo just before 4:00 a.m. after the frightening deal. >> flight attendants were saying, get off the plane, get off the plane, run away from the plane. >> reporter: the plane caught fire while it was taxing on the runway at the newark airport. the passengers were taken back to the terminal. five people had minor injuries. some of the passengers were put on another plane overnight and just landed here at sfo before 4:00 a.m., including portia dickinson of oakland. >> when i was jumping off the

new this morning, the dublin unified school district voted no on buying the property at the corner of gleason and hacienda drive next to the jail. the board heard from hundreds of people during hours of public comment last night, and there are three properties left for the board to consider to accommodate the students in 2023. and then three more men connected to the bombing at the ariana grande concert. the brother of the suicide bomber, 22-year-old solomon abedi, who died in the attack. he lived in an area of manchester considered by police to be a hotbed of isis recruitment.

on duty for future a's home games. san rafael police hope you can help find a suspect that showed up in a woman's bedroom. she said a man that looks like this went into her bedroom and stood at the foot of her bed and shined a light in her eyes. this happened on may 10th in the tara linda area. police want to hear from anybody that recognizes a man in this sketch. and the police found the body of this woman last night down a steep ravine. her caretaker last saw her friday night and she was spotted on the surveillance video near where her body was found. and then the search for a suspected bank robber in palo alto. this is the surveillance video showing the 43-year-old griffin.

started rolling down the hill faster and faster until it got away, and it finally crashed and everybody is okay. and then a woman accused of trying to kidnap a toddler at the san francisco ferry building. she was arrested monday after the incident. she approached the family and started shouting that's my son and grabbed the child. she faces child endangerment and kidnapping charges. the wife of an says she is not guilty. she is facing manslaughter charges and made her first appearance in court yesterday entering a not guilty plea. she's accused of rear ending a car that ran out of gas last september. the force of the crash killed a 3-year-old that was inside. she has been arrested for dui

things to know before you go today. number one from the live desk, breaking news in south san francisco. police are getting ready to give us an update on an officer-involved shooting there. we know one person has died. officers say a man with a gun pointed it at them forcing them to shoot. number two, a fourth victim of the manchester bombing attack has been identified. a 43-year-old lisa lees on the right in this photo and died along with 21 others on monday. officials announce three more arrests in connection to the bombing this morning. passengers forced to evacuate a united airlines flight have safely arrived at sfo. a fire broke out on the plane while taxing on the runway in newark. and cutting funding to sanctuary cities, san francisco and santa clara are challenging the president's action. number five, nobody is immune from the breezes today.

oakland school board will consider changes to the district's sexual harassment policy and students are taking an active role in modifying the policy and are recommending changes based on personal experiences. >> the same stuff i was going through in middle school is still happening still in school and it really resinated with me like when is change going to come and what does it take for us to get that change. >> one proposal is to get rid of language to suggest a victim may be penalized for reporting sexual harassment and the other is to keep the reported harassme harassment, the victim, informed from start to finish. and then updating the athlete's condition of robert paler. he was moved into a rehab trauma center, and he was injured after colliding with another player and fell on his head just a few minutes into the match on may 6th in santa clara. and then the teacher making

two bomb threats against the school where he works. munoz called in two bomb threats on may 8th and then again on the 16th. abc7 news was at the school after the second threat was made last week as the students huddled in the front area after being evacuated, and nobody was hurt and nobody revealed a motive. and tonsidering a fee on uber and lyft. they are analyzing if a fee could help with management and congestion. last year officials reported up to 45,000 rideshare drivers working in the city. the state of massachusetts already has a similar fee. they charge 20 cents per ride. water rates are set to go up in marin by 14% and 5% in sonoma county. and then in san

asiana airlines said that he did not pay extra for that seat. next time you see a retailers ad on google the company could be able to tell you if you actually shopped in one of those stores. google is launching a new feature that tracks when you click on an ad and it compares to it information it gets from your credit card company to see if you actually bought something recently from that store. the information google gets from credit card companies is encrypted so doesn't include your name or exactly what you bought. the store name apparently is enough to make sure google is targeting you with ads that you may be interested in. google says the program is safe and secure and privacy advocates say the data could be a target for hackers. and then take a look at this video. police were getting calls about this guy on monday night and nobody could catch him. they posted this video on the

>> reporter: we just got new details from san francisco police. they described when they got here there was a man standing in the middle of the street with a shotgun. they got the call at 11:30 last night from a neighbor that was reporting a man with a gun. police said when they got here they told the man to put the gun down and told him that several times and he refused so they shot and killed him. this happened on cork place, a cul-de-sac near callan boulevard, and police call it a good neighborhood. >> a good neighborhood and we don't respond to many calls for service on this particular street and it's a very unfortunate situation. >> reporter: we just talked to a woman that lives in the neighborhood that says she is shocked and a little scared this happened here. we have questions about why they were called here, and was it a domestic
