thing is while this is happening, pedestrians, everyone just watches and keeps on walking. >> yeah. that's the thing. >> as the video progresses, this is the part that just doesn't make any sense. he continues to hug her and then he even proceeds to get down on his knees to ask for forgiveness as they start crying, she starts to hug him back. and it appears they have now kissed and made up. she even goes as far as dusting his knees. and then willingly walks into the car into the passenger side and then they drive off. >> nobody seemed to intervene on the spot. i'm hoping since the video has gotten around the world, hopefully it's garnered attention in their hometown and maybe she'll get some help in this situation. >> the bottom line is if you're in a situation like this, don't stay in the situation. if you have an abusive relationship, get out of it, period. one of the easiest and only

way to get around the back country of alaska is by plane. many guys there are bush pilots. and in this case tom the pilot of the plane we see here was competing in a fly in. it's a bush pilot competition where pilots show off their skills. tom hand built the plane we're watching him fly. tom is doing a very, very slow approach. he's got a record speed for 17 miles per hour. here he comes low and slow in that sq-2 that he built himself. >> that is so cool. >> suddenly -- >> oh! >> the plane dips around. now got a stall. in many cases, planes will fly into the wind to provide as much lift as possible. they believe the head wind momentarily resulted in his stall and loss of lift. this isn't his first time in competition. in fact, he won the slow speed competition in this particular event and he's won it before.

this is kind of his thing. >> so since he built it himself, can he sue himself? >> not exactly. kind of the bummer part about this, tom wasn't hurt in the incident but the paperwork for the plane is still sitting on the coffee table before this event. now the people of alaska, they stick together. and they have started a gofundme page for tom. close to a thousand dollars so far with a $50,000 goal. tom's fine. but they're going to use this money to help him get his plane back into the air. >> nice. kate's life is falling apart. >> it's growing quite rapidly. mum can't eat anymore. >> kate's mum janet has been diagnosed with terminal stomach cancer. honestly at this point they're running out of options. >> the only way we can do this is with aggressive chemo here.

>> the way they're trying to do that is through immunotherapy. it isn't covered under the nhs. we have universal health care. if you break a leg or cancer, it's treated for free. but immunotherapy may not be covered because it hasn't passed criteria. which brings us to the inevitable issue. >> we're going to run out of money soon. >> essentially somebody going onto the internet to appeal for somebody's life. >> don't give up on her. and if you can donate. if you can't donate, then please just share. >> so have people responded to her plea at all? >> well, people are responding. they're looking for about $200,000 u.s. in order to complete the treatment. they're up to only about $30,000
