view. today, sfpd announced a person of interest, a family acquaintance, 48-year-old resident bob tang. foul play is suspected. >> it is believed that he's the last person who had contact with mr. chhay, however, at this time investigators believe mr. tang has fled the country, possibly to cambodia. >> tang was supposed to meet investigators for an interview on tuesday but never showed up. officers have searched connected to him including maple trade corporation in the bay view. his neighbors also inned what appear to be plainclothes officeners vehicles staking out his home. >> he seems go to work, a good family man and so totally would be shocking if he's involved in anything. >> chhay's family had no kmept about tang's possible kmeks e connection. chhay's cousin spoke to abc 7 earlier in the day. >> as a family we hope the best out of the situation but we are preparing ourselves for the worse as well. >> sfpd says they obtained evidence that may lead to

so, are you more and more confused with your bill every time you go out to eat. >> you see a service charge, healthcare surcharge or maybe a minimum wage surcharge? how much are you actually supposed to tip? michael. >> i used to use. >> the app. >> look, when you dine in restaurants you might have noticed that little extra line on the bottom of the receipt. well, tonight i look at what surcharges and tips really mean for both you, the employees, and the restaurants. when san mateo upped the minimum wage from $10 to $12, restaurant owner brad goldberg chose not to absorb the cost or charge more on his menu. instead he add a 3% surcharge to each an every bill. >> our competition isn't facing

that. so we don't want to have inflated prices. >> the bay area started seeing widespread use of restaurant surcharges a few years back when san francisco required small businesses to pay for worker's health insurance. we have an author and ket. she says people may not understand the difference between surcharges and tips '. >> one has nothing do with the other because the tips go to the server whereas the surcharge goes to the restaurant. if anything you are slighting that server by giving a lesser amount just because you think it's already been covered by the surcharge. it's not. >> jennifer is the owner in restaurant for a long time the restaurant had a $1.25 surcharge to help cover health insurance for employees but in 2015 she

did to eliminate that surcharge and become a no-sip tipping restaurant. >> tipping has gotten so far out of control. we don't know theet quit o quitq and it adds a lot of strain and stress to the service experience and our whole goal in a restaurant is to not stress out the client. >> she believes transparency in pricing works for the consumer, restaurant owner and employees. >> we raised our menu prices 25 percent for the most part, that covers a 12% per server revenue share, and then the back of the house gets a 12% revenue share had the the remaining 1% i put toward our health since. >> they say guests have been enthuse after theic about the change and say it seems like they're spending the same as before. it's just simpler. goldberg on the other hand is sticking with his surcharge. >> we want to continue to be able to provide a place that they like to come, and
