commute so westbound 80 was fully closed there for a short time and that was due to a rollover crash on the connecter to northbound 101. no issues now, they actually got that cleared really quickly so all lanes are back open and our drive times are looking good. westbound 580, tracy to dublin, you're in the yellow. no issues today with construction on southbound 680, dublin to mission boulevard, just 16 and northbound 85 between 101 and cupertino, you're also looking good at just 15 minutes. we do have one minor mass transit issue. i'll talk about that next. this morning, the tsa is looking into accusations tech execs in the bay area got secret airport codes. >> the codes apparently gave them sketsz to a restricted part of mineta san jose airport. >> reporter: signature flight support is a private aviation company here in san jose, and it's located right behind it, really, is the tarmac to the san jose airport, and there are allegations that signature

violated security procedures. the silicon valley business journal is reporting the transportation security administration is investigating. signature services business executives there who use private jets. the airport says there's no evidence any of the executives who got the secret code accessed any other part of the airport except the hangar. signature gave the journal this statement, quote, we can confirm that there is an ongoing investigation by the tsa which signature flight support has and is continuing to cooperate with fully. we expect a resolution in the near term. signature's top priority is the safety and security of all of our over 200 global locations. now, depending on what the tsa finds, they could end up fining signature flight support. we're going to be reaching out to the tsa later this morning to get more details.

reporting from san jose, abc7 news. this 9-year-old oakland boy is recovering after he was shot while walking his dog. abc7 news reporter katie utehs shares his message of thanks to the community thasz rallying for his recovery. >> reporter: encouraging new video from the hospital room of an oakland boy shot in the stomach while he walked his puppy on his birthday. police believe the 9-year-old was not the intended target. >> he's doing better. he's in stable condition. and he's improving slowly. he got up and took a few steps today. he's still in some pain, but he's doing better. >> reporter: he was walking near east 27th street and fruit vail avenue with his mother, father, and older brother sunday night. candles mark the spot where a stray bullet hit the boy. >> it's always disheartening to see crimes against children and the youth in our community,

the uk, manchester's police chief says families of the attack victims are distressed by leaks of photos from the scene that went to the "new york times." the bbc reports the uk has decided to stop sharing information about the investigation with the u.s. meanwhile, authorties say eight people are in custody in connection to monday's suicide bomber attack at manchester arena following an ariana concert. the police chief says searches by authorities will take several more days to complete. >> i want to reassure people that the arrests that we have made are significant and initial searches of premises have revealed items that we believe are very important to the investigation. >> also this morning, a personal sign of support from queen elizabeth. she arrived at royal manchester children's hospital visiting the injured and the staff who were treating them. 12 children who were taken to that hospital after the attack are all under the age of 16.

new this morning, the search for an at-risk missing person in san leonardo. this is audrey miles. she's 64 years old, last seen around 4:00 p.m. tuesday. police say that she left her care facility and has not come back. if you have seen her or have any information on audrey, please call police. now, a twist in the investigation surrounding a bank robbery in danville. the female suspect accused of posing as a man used to be a police officer. police say that jennifer painted a beard on her face and then robbed a bank of the west on tuesday. now we know she was a police officer in the orange county city of that breaking news, a police chase in the dallas area. it ended like in with an rv in flames and this rv did have children inside. they were rescued. we watched, though, part of this unfold live in the news room earlier and it just came to an end in arlington.

authorities say they were chasing a man accused of shooting his wife. the man's two children were inside the rv during the chase. police used spike strips to stop it and then the rv burst into flames. the father did die in the fire. no word yet on how those kids are doing right now. reggie. happening today, family friends of the missing vallejo teenager are planning to gather in her honor. she was last seen a year ago today bleeding and screaming as fernando castro pulled her across an overpass. he was later killed in a shootout with police. a $1,000 reward now being offered for information leading to an arrest or where she may be. we have new details and video this morning about this video this morning about this enormous landslide in big k engineers are assessing the damage. it will take months to repair and that's going to cripple

innocent and he's now facing misdemeanor assault charges. and last night, three state newspapers pulled their endorsements of him. the election, again, is today but more than half of the estimat estimated ballots have already been turned in because of early voting. the faa is investigating a deadly sky diving accident. officials say the sky diver was using a wing suit yesterday when he landed in a vineyard just north of the airport. three people died last year in accidents right near that parachute center, including an instructor and a student. they were killed during a tandem jump in august after their parachute failed to open. a heads up for anyone in alameda today, the police department is changing to a new phone system. there is a temporary non-energy number set up for today only, 510-337-8200. calls into 911 will not be affected. and health news, stanford researchers are studying americans at risk of heart disease. they're finding people who sleep less than six hours a night are twice as likely to die of heart

disease and stroke. the increased risk was most apparent in those with high blood pressure and blood sugar issues. we're in trouble, natasha. okay, new this morning, sonoma county just took a small step to help fix a big problem. supervisors approved a three-year lease to develop the tiny homes you see here to house the homeless. the plan is to build 12 of them in santa rosa near highway 101 and bicentennial way. the county owns the land and is providing it at no charge. community housing sonoma county will own the tiny houses. the total cost of development is just over $1 million. speaking of wine country, it is buzzing over a new tool for vineyards. drones. >> not only used for taking great photos. the drones can help find problems like irrigation leaks and plants that are infected. normally it takes days or even weeks to find these problems if they have to walk every row. drones drastically cut that time. >> you can fly one play clobloc

he never showed so they are worried he has left country. investigators are now thinking that bob tang has escaped to cambodia. his wife reported him missing yesterday. police have asked the fbi to help track him down. tang is considered a person of interest in the disappearance of piseth chhay. the two are acquaintances. chhay's family is hoping someone will come forward and help find him. >> i'm sure that at least one person out there had saw something, so please come forward and help us find him, you know? at the end of the day, that's all we want. >> reporter: chhay is a husband, father of two, and an uber driver. he disappeared almost two weeks ago. police say they found his stripped car in the bay view and they think they are getting closer to finding him, saying they have some evidence that may lead to his whereabouts but they did not release specifics. looifr in san francisco, amy hollyfield, abc7 news. now to the uk where a moment of silence was held this morning for the victims of the

manchester concert bombing. >> bells tolled and crowds were quiet across manchester about 90 minutes ago for the 22 people killed and the dozens who were hurt in monday's attack. overnight, uk police stopped sharing information about the investigation with the u.s. the bbc reports that officials became outraged when photos of debris from the scene paerds in the "new york times." hours after the attack, the name of the suicide bomber was leaked to u.s. media. >> last night, the family liaison officer shared with those families the fact that intelligence had been leaked and published in the "new york times." it is absolutely understandable the distress and upset that this caused to those families who are already suffering as everyone can imagine. >> british prime minister teresa may is expected to address concerns with president trump this morning at a nato meeting. the bombing is prompting even tighter security for the indy 500 race on sunday. security is heightened, fans are being encouraged to arrive early

tyree to death in 2015. the defense says his death was an accident, not a beating. the men could face life in prison if convicted. palo alto police are crediting a quick-thinking passer-by for the asylum arrerr man suspected of flashing people. detectives used a photo that the woman snapped to link him to the crime. chestnut was recently arrested for a separate theft charge. investigators do not think he's connected to other indecent exposure cases on the peninsula. happening today, marin general hospital conducting a mass casualty disaster drill called 15 til 50, designed to train staff on how to handle a surge of at least 50 patients within 15 minutes of a major incident. 15 til 50 focuses on patient care and triage and the rapid deployment of staff, supplies, and equipment. current patients at the hospital are not expected to be impacted. the white house dismissing a report today that a new republican health care bill would leave millions of americans uninsured. the nonpartisan congressional budget office estimates 23

"the chronicle" reports the company that operates the dry dock at pier 70 plans to close sunday. puglia engineering claims it was misled into believing the dock was in good repair whe over operations in january. instead, it needs $9 million in upgrades according to the company. more than 220 workers have been laid off since that dispute began. pier 70 is the west coast's largest shipyard. the warriors will return to practice today. >> golden state has a week before game one. the players had the last two days off, well deserved after sweeping the spurs monday night in the western conference finals. tonight the warriors may find out who they will play. the cavs will try to close out their series in boston with the

it's 5:43. we know a little more about the recovery of a cal rugby player who was partially paralyzed during a game. robert landed on his head during the match earlier this month. a cervical disk that pressed against his spinal cord has been removed. he is now paralyzed below the chest. doctors at san jose's valley medical center say that he has a better chance to recover since he does have some sensation running from his head to his toes. his father says the traumatic injury has brought out the best in his son. >> he's taking it like a warrior. he's very goal-oriented. he knows he wants to get to where he needs to be and whatever he's got to do, he'll do it. >> robert will begin rehab this week. recovery could take a year. his father says he knows his son will pull through. >> we are all rooting for him. a uc berkeley assistant
