action to stop a carport fire from spread into an entire building. the cars outside the complex yesterday, crews kept the flames from reaching neighboring apartments. it's believed there was an electrical problem with one of the vehicles is what started the fire. just look at that. another fire burning dangerously to a house on griffin road in vallejo. nobody was inside the home. american canyon crews helped vallejo firefighters quickly put out those flames. firefighters in southern california are watching for flare ups from a grass fire that forced some evacuations. forced some evacuations. the 55 acre fire broke out in brentwood yesterday hafr noafte. firefighters think the fire was

news. >> a fatal accident involving several cars on 580. >> just got to the scene near vasco, matt. >> reporter: we are on east bay 580 before first street exit and they are towing away one of the vehicles and have the second tow truck here on the scene. that's good news because they will be able to clear these vehicles off the road. they were hoping for getting this road cleared in about an hour but they were expecting the second tow truck to arrive here in half an hour and 45 minutes. so it's here now and hopefully they will be able to clear and open up the road, and the sad news on this memorial day, one person was killed. i am told the victim is a male and we don't have any other details on that person's identification. two other people were also transported to the hospital. three vehicles total were involved in this crash, and it appears the first vehicle was disabled in one of the middle
