deserves mercy. they want a life sentence. and prosecutors counter that he showed no mercy to lamar. and then two arrests that played out like a hollywood action sequence. these are the guns that were found after the suspects were in custody. the officers were on their bikes looking for a man with an outstanding warrant and they spotted him walking with another man and they took off running and the officers followed through a motel off a second story balcony and through the room. one of the suspects got caught hiding in the shower furthery clothed with the water running. and both suspects now face multiple charges. berkeley could be one of the first cities to ban plastic straws. city council members will take up the idea on tuesday. the ban would affect restaurants and coffee shops. it's aimed at helping the city reach its zero waste goal by 2020. today we will get a chance

at the golden gate bridge, and i had to use my windshield wipers once coming in this morning to clear off some of the drops, and not yet have we had the zipper train out yet this morning, and here's san rafael moving nicely past the civic center, and the north gate mall, no problems here. this is westbound 580, a car is off the roadway into a ditch. they have to get a tow truck out there. i am seeing slow traffic coming up and over the altamont. and the blue here represents some puddling possible, but we don't have anything affecting the roadway, just that accident and a tow truck is headed there, so we will update that in just a minute. >> thank you. and major leaders launch major jobs, and who they are targeting and the help they want from voters. and then a man is fighting for justice after a judge allows the suspect to walk out of jail, and that's a story you will see

while i was on a combat patrol my c in baqubah, iraq,nned out. a rocket-propelled grenade took my arm off at the shoulder. when i came home, i felt alone. my family was around me, but i couldn't talk to them about what i'd seen and what i'd done. i remember just thinking, man, the way i am right now, i don't want to live. i was discharged from the army, and i've been working with the wounded warrior project since 2007. warriors don't have to be severely wounded to be with the wounded warrior project. we do have a lot of guys that have post-traumatic stress disorder. being able to share your story, i guess it kind of helps you wrap your mind around what did happen over there. just because you've left the military doesn't mean your life is over, because when these guys

are coming home, i'm kind of leading and training them, instead of for combat, i'm leading and training them to heal. and if i come away with anything from the wounded warrior project, it's them giving my life back. my name is norbie, and yes, i do suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder, but i'm okay. would you cross a street? would you cross an ocean? would you go if you could use your knowledge to teach someone and, in the process, maybe learn something yourself? life is calling. how far will you go? peace corps. happening today, a coalition of south bay labor groups have a measure that would force labor workers to hire local workers.
