>> reporter: good morning, reggie and natasha. this is a big day for san jose. thousands of people expected here at the convention center in the downtown area, and we have many people lined up early. security is a big deal. fences, police officers and security guards are everywhere, and i talked to one officer and he said they were planning for months and they are not doing anything because of the recent attacks in london and manchester. this is the first time this event is being held here in san jose since 2002. facebook also held the developers conference here in april after years in san francisco. san jose leaders are excited about the economic impact with visitos filling hotels and restaurants, and as for the technology, apple could discuss the latest in augmented reality and artificial intelligence, and updating hardware as well as operating systems for auflt products. the keynote starts at 10:00 this

mr. trump refused to release his previous returns because he said he is under audit. separating two free speech rally in portland. one rally was sponsored by a pro trump group and they clashed with the nearby anti-trump gathering. some tried to protect themselves with using garbage cans as shielded. 14 people were arrested. you are going to see the driver jump out and run over to a car that was coasting slowly on a busy street. this happened friday in i illinois. a police officers' caught it all. the good samaritan was able to stop the car before it crashed.

brought up after an ethics commission brought up how the tickets were doled out. and then this is what it looks like this morning. police say three attackers went on a stabbing rampage after running down pedestrians on london bridge on saturday night. seven people were killed. dozens of others hurt. the attackers were killed by police and it was the third deadly terror attack in the uk in less than three months. london's police commissioner says the fight against terror has to be stepped up. >> we have been in many respect extremely successful and we built a very powerful machine, but we now have seen the attacks in london and in manchester. >> police identified the suspects. they are not releasing their names. a dozen people have been arrested in connection with the attack. last night's one love

manchester concert raised at least $2.6 million that will go to the victims and their families and they raised it a three-hour period, and it brings the total raised to almost $13 million. we have posted information on the news app and abc7news.com. and then the empire state building went black last night and other landmarks did the same. 5:35, and happening today. google plans to reveal results from a test that measures how bad the air pollution is, and they used special cars to test the air in oakland for a year. google will unveil the test results today at noon at san francisco's pier 19. brown in china this week. brown and the governor signed brown and the governor signed the clean air energy act.

san leandro police are trying to determine what led to a shooting that involved two officers at 3:00 yesterday morning on i-580. officers stopped a man driving a van that was reported stolen in hayward. something led the officers to draw their weapons and open fire. the suspect was treated at the scene and is in the hospital this morning and investigators are now looking at video at surveillance cameras in the area. and then a church reopened its sanctuary after a devastating fire destroying much of it. the fire ripped through the church last september and the fire caused $9 million in damage. churchgoers say they are happy to be back.

alerts said the thunderstorm produced a twister around canada. the tornado left behind some damage to buildings but nobody was hurt. alberta normally sees 15 tornadoes every year usually between april and september. and this shows a man in alberta, canada, mowing his lawn unaware a massive tornado is behind him. his wife took this tornado and posted it on home run facebook page on friday, and turns out the man was well aware that the storm was there, and he said it was much further away than it appeared, plus it was moving away from him. >> dedication. >> so that's the best time to mow your lawn? okay. and then accomplishing what many of his peers consider to be the greatest feat of his sport, climbing to the top of el capitan without any ropes.

at the coast, and warmer this afternoon. temperatures will slide down below average on friday, and we have a chance of rain on thursday. we will head to the neighbors in the south bay, and in the 80s from santa clara, and morgan hill, and everybody else in the mid to upper 70s. as we head up the peninsula, we will have 76 at palo alto, and 72 in millbrae. look at the low 60s at half moon bay, saw pepacifica, and bailey. 58 at bodega bay. everybody else in the north bay valleys around 80 to 84 degrees. along the east bay shore, oakland and san leandro, aword at 75. at about 84 to near 90 in our east bay valleys, so if you don't need the air-conditioner today, that might be it for long time, saving yourself energy. you can see the cloud deck becoming more pronounced and the

sea breeze brings cooler weather, 49 to 50. here to jump ahead to thursday, we can see a weak system to the north, just greens, and up until about noon, and that's when a few light showers may come down and touch around santa rosa, and it's really in the afternoon hours and up to 5:00 where we will have a little bit better chance of seeing light rain across the north bay, and once across the north bay, and once the sun sets, to 0.015 of that is something we will keep an eye on. temperatures are 50s and 60s for friday and then starting to see 70s creep back in the forecast on saturday and sunday. good morning, and then there's this on the san mateo bridge. all of a sudden we are seeing stacked across the span.

why? there's a sigalert in effect on the high-rise left lane, and it has been there for 45 minutes and boom, like that, it's stacked up for about a 45 to 50-minute ride from hayward over towards foster city and san mateo. so alternate would be your dumbarton bridge, and that's looking good right now. if you take a look at the sensors, green on the dumbarton and, yeah, all backed up on the san mateo bridge with the sigalert. we will follow that for you later this morning. and westbound on 80 and vacaville clear, but the damage is done. there's a slow traffic westbound all the way out of vacaville. your mass transit, that's a good option. b.a.r.t., 48 trains on time and no problems with the golden gate ferries today, and ace trains one and three are running on schedule as well. a shocking new report shows how many people in san francisco don't have internet access. an alligator on a golf course went viral while another
