another vehicle hit that. last time we checked we did not have a backup and now you can see that's heavy get into sausalito. did look like a lot of damage done to the vehicles and the people inside were okay. and then the bay bridge backup, you are heavy back to treasure island and giving you the thumbs up and the traffic has cleared. give it another 15 or 20 minutes and hopefully it will be back in the green. next traffic update coming up in less than ten. rescued at least six people from a burning building in the tenderloin. the fire broke out on the second floor of the building. three people are now displaced and evacuating the residents was a bit of a problem at first because everybody was sleeping when this fire started before 1:00 a.m. people were also disoriented because of all the smoke. a family pet, a cat, did not survive, and it looks like everybody else is okay.

a reward being offered to catch the arsonist. and then dozens of stolen packages found, 41 in a storage unit. they think they were taken from the porches of east bay homes between the beginning of march and the end of may. there was a man caught, and he is currently being held in connection with the thefts. police say he's a transient. investigators want to hear from you if you were expecting a package but never got it. and then getting closer to a deal on the state budget as next week's budget deadline approaches. it includes a boost to spending on social services and expanding a tax credit for the working poor and the panel replaced restrictions on the office of the uc president after a scathing audit.

chelsea manning sat down for her first tv interview from being released from prison. she does accept responsibility for leaking 700,000 documents to wikileaks but says she's not a traitor. >> getting all this information, and death, destruction, mayhem, and i stopped seeing just statistics and information and i started seeing people. warfare is not a simple thing. it's not good guys versus bad guys, it's a mess. >> manning was released from prison in may after serving seven years of the 35 sentence, and since then she is documenting her life on social media from taking her first steps outside of prison to hanging out with her friends.
