yesterday it was muggy and grey. we're dry with temperatures anywhere from 4 to 7 degrees cooler. so that translates into a cooler afternoon. a look at summer-like heat making a come back. >> thank you. breaking news out of contra costa county, brentwood police are investigating a shooting. it happened last night. another suspect suffered injuries that were not gunshot wounds. officials say both suspects were taken to hospital and both were still alive this morning. right now, it's unclear what led up to the shooting. however, no officers were hurt. san francisco police are investigating after one of its patrol vehicles rolled over and landed on top of its roof. two officers were hurt in the crash on great highway just before 8:00 last night. abc 7 news spoke with a witness who was driving behind the squad

car right before the crash. >> the police car was fast in the number one lane and the car in number two lane wanted to change lanes in front of the police car t. siren wasn't activated. >> police say the officer driving tried to pass that car when the squad vehicle hit a boulder in the center median and flipped over. both officers were taken to the hospital with middle eastern injuries. >> the officers don't appear to be on a call at this time. so we're still trying to understand where they're going and what they were doing. >> police are looking for more witnesses as well as very veils to help with the investigation. in the south bay, police are looking for a drone pilot who caused a large outlet. abc 7 news reporter katie marzulo has the details. >> reporter: suddenly, he

sparks and we heard a loud sound. >> reporter: he was working at the performing arts center around 8:15 thursday night. the show could not go on. without power, staff couldn't use the automated announcement syst system. >> all the staff went in the corners and crannies of the library to find people. >> we had flash liepts and used our phones. they had a good strong flashlight on the phones to make sure everybody was route. >> reporter: this is the evidence mountain view police were able to work with. >> we were able cover a very good drone. right now, we are trying to figure out who owns the drone. where it was flying, where it was in that area. >> witnesses told police they saw a man with white hair flying a drone on polaris avenue shortly before the outage. the faa does not allow them to

chance of showers tomorrow and much warmer next week. so let's skip ahead to tomorrow. you will notice we are waking up to fog-free conditions. by the afternoon, things get a little interesting up around lake county, sonoma county. we could see a few showers, light showers. otherwise, we see sunshine and cool temperatures. look at the winds, tomorrow morning, 20s to 30 miles an hour along the coast. by the afternoon, they ramp up here and remain breezy around the bay. so you know a warm-up isn't in the near future. redwood city, we have temperatures in the 60s today. your coolest day tomorrow, back to the upper 60s on monday, finally, near average, tuesday and wednesday, it's the end of the week when you will see those '80s. but our peninsula lows get that nice breeze, it shouldn't be too bad as we look at san jose, though, you will be in the 90s by the end of the week, 70s today, shy 8 degrees of your average. i'll take mid-week to be more like june. about ten days away from summer. this is the way it goes around here, 64 in richmond, 65 in

for yourself. >> reporter: detectives say the male teen was hanging outside of the library with his friends when a 40 yeeshld transient man walked up to him. >> without 18th sight or reason he stabbed him with a pact knife. >> the teenager was shocked, he was panicking. he didn't know why he was attacked. >> reporter: police officers at a substation next door rushed to the scene. officersed a minstered first-aid on the young victim before he was taken to the hospital. police took the man into custody, detectives say strangely the suspect hung around. >> after the attack, he didn't flee. he stayed in the area, so on top of that, it's another unusual circumstance. >> reporter: the teenager is a taylor middle school student. he underwent surgery. she expected to recover. as for hess attacker, he's in san mateo county jail. detectives say they're trying to figure out who he is and why he randomly attacked a kid.
