is back open. the southbound train fatally struck the person near the platform. none of the 60 people on the train was hurt. oakland police are calling the death of a 102-year-old woman suspicious. she was unresponsive when police officers arrived at east 30th and 22nd avenue early sunday morning. she was pronounced dead at the scene. a suspect was detained at the time but later released. oakland police are appealing to anyone with information about this case to contact them. leave your car and flee on foot. that was the advise that firefighters gave to residents yesterday in vallejo as a fire burned dangerously close. neighbors are asking questions about that order. good reason they gave that specific advice. >> reporter: there's a reason they gave that advice. it's because there were several

cars that were going over their hoses and it affects water pressure. they needed the lines to be clear. still neighbors have a lot of concerns today because you can see how close this one came to this row of homes. >> vallejo fire department asked us to exit on foot. i'm disabled. how am i spoeupposed to get mys, our stuff and four animals out on foot. >> reporter: she came to get a closer look at the scorched side. grass fires this time of year have become a reoccurring problem. she's fed up with it. >> i want something done. they need to protect this hill. they need to protect these residents. >> reporter: the nearest fire station has been closed for seven years. firefighters tell us it's due to budget and staffing issues. neighbors are concerned about response times. t.j. knows the risk. he and other neighbors stepped into action.

low temperatures will be generally in the mid to upper 50s. still relatively mild even though we have daytime cooling. some high clouds pass over tomorrow. it will still be a pretty mild day. we'll see high temperatures in the upper 80s to about 90 at antioch. maybe a couple of upper 70s and on the coast highs up to 60 degrees. it will be breezy at the coast tomorrow as well. a little bit cool with temperature about 66 degrees. later in the day notice the clouds disappear. we'll see high temperatures in the afternoon hours climbing into the mid to upper 60s in the city. here is a look at the accuweather seven-day forecast. the cooling continues tomorrow.

here are the stories making headlines at 4:30. san francisco police vealed new information about last week's shooting that killed three ups drivers. the shooter targeted three fellow drivers using a stolen gun before then turning the gun on himself.
