cambodia. chi's wife said her husband respected tang. they were friends for years. she has no idea what could have happened between the two men, but she is focused on hoping that body part does not belong to her husband. live in san francisco, amy holingfield, abc 7 news. we are tracking an overnight shooting in san francisco's bayview neighborhood. police say gunmen pulled alongside a car on bay shore boulevard and marin street around 10:00 last night and opened fire. a passenger was inside the car that was hit. the driver took off but lost control a short time later, crashed eventually. police are releasing very little information at this point except the victim is a man who is now hospitalized. and so far no word on any suspects or a possible motive. san francisco police are trying to find the person who set a popular children's

playground in golden gate park on fire. we have a look at the damage and reaction from parents. >> it's really heartbreaking to see this burn. >> yeah, because it was just like -- it was so, like, good. >> reporter: families came to bring children to play to find a secon section of the playground off limits. the playground was cordoned off after someone set fire to it early saturday morning. >> someone was playing with fire and the fire got loose because it was windy. >> reporter: the grown-ups don't think it played out so innocently. >> somebody is being very selfish. i don't know what they were thinking. >> reporter: coret children's quarter is a popular spot not only for locals but for out-of-towners as well. it's located near the carousel and underwent a million-dollar renovation eight weeks ago. >> my daughter is now four and she's progressed from the

younger kids area to the older kids area, and it's been really nice to see that. >> but the recreation district says the playground is likely not republairable and will need be replaced. it will cost about a million dollars. the park says it's too early to come up with a timeline on cleaning and replacing the structure. for now patrols will be increased in the area. in san francisco, lillian kim, abc 7 news. a fight forces a shopping mall to close in downtown san francisco, and you are looking here at cell phone video taken as police are trying to break up the fight in westfield mall on market street. police have not said yet what started this fight. several officers were assaulted during it. they were not seriously hurt. they are under lockdown temporarily. in the end police detained several people. unclear if anyone is facing

charges. the palo alto city council is expected to approve raising annual parking fees in certain neighborhoods. according to palo alto on line, parking garages will go up nearly $200. the increase will hurt businesses because some pay for their employees to park. supporters say it may be easier to buy permits because it will be so expensive. city council meets tomorrow afternoon. right now chp looking for the driver of a stolen suv that crashed and rolled down a hill in fremont. sky 7 was over the crash near 680 southbound in auto mall parkway yesterday. you can see the vehicle with major damage just off the freeway. all the airbags had deployed but the driver nowhere to find. officers had a dangerous hike down the slippery hillside just to even get to the suv and investigate. a motorcyclist who has been terrorizing drivers on bay area freeways is now und rest, and the chp wants to know if you are one of his victims.

contra costa chp posted this video yesterday which shows its helicopter pilot following a guy on a green motorcycle. motorists say the driver drove recklessly, slapped, punched and kicked people's side mirrors, sometimes while driving 100 miles an hour. when he got home, he found officers waiting to arrest him. chp says if you have been victimized by this rider on a green bike, please call them and let them know. flooding for the kings river will remain in place until today. 90 homes are under a mandatory evacuation order which affects about 300 people. it turned into a dock after a levy broke, sending water on the greens. greens. the areas. from the live desk, we are upon torg th monitoring this story out of

colombia. a boat capsized on a reservoir near yin min. we don't know what caused it to capsize, but you can see it tilting one side to the other and eventually just going under. there were about 160 passengers on board. six of those died. 21 were injured. colombia's air force and firefighters from nearby cities have now joined in on massive search underway. one survivor said the vessel did not have any life vests on board. happening today, the congressional budget office is set to release an estimate for the senate health care plan. republicans and democrats spent the weekend making their case as senators, who are still undecided. thousands of protesters organized across the country. emily row is in washington for what's on tap this monday. >> reporter: heated calls skpral

advisory. on the roads should be a decent day and mass transit will become sunny this afternoon. here's a look at a couple areas. 82 is the high today in san jose. you'll get as warm as 76 at 2:00 and 4:00 today. as far as our temperatures, a quick look and you can see we're 64 in san francisco, 82 in antioch with cool breezes. nearly steady for tomorrow and then the bump-up begins wednesday. i'll let you know if it becomes obnoxiously hot coming up in the 7-day forecast. i have an issue for in the vallejo area. it doesn't sound like a blocking situation but could be a serious crash here. eastbound 80 just past redwood parkway. a vehicle went over the road. a couple emergency vehicles are on the way to the scene. again, we don't have any lanes blocked yet. we certainly could once they arrive, so i'll keep you up to date on that. westbound 580, tracy to castro, you're in the yellow now.

happening today, it is officially the last public session for the supreme court before it goes on summer recess. the justices are expected to decide this week whether to approve president trump's proposed travel ban. it would put a 90-day ban on visitors from six mostly muslim countries. the other big news involves justice anthony kennedy who could possibly announce his retirement today. so far kennedy has not publicly stated any retirement plans, but his departure would allow conservatives to take firm control of the court. for the first time in 20 years, the white house did not host a celebration to mark the

end of the muslim holy month of ramadan, something president trump said during the campaign that he was open to. the celebration has been a white house tradition since then first lady hillary clinton hosted the first dinner there in 1996. president bush and obama continued the tradition. during the campaign, president trump told nbc news it would bother him to host the dinner. a mistaken identity out of southern california. a man suing the orange county coroner's office after spending $20,000 to bury his son, or so he thought. turns out his son is alive. frank kerrigan says he was told fingerprints were used to i.d. a body of his son, also known as frank, whof was mentally ill an homeless. after the burial, a friend called him to say that his son was standing next to him on the patio. the case is now under investigation. a possible hate crime is

under investigation in the sacramento area. a burned koran filled with bacon was found handcuffed to a fence near a mosque saturday. muslims do not eat pork. it was the second hate incident in sacramento in less than 24 hours, and the person behind it made one key mistake. >> at the mosque fence but in front of the sheriff's department. i guess they didn't realize the sheriff's department was right next door, so not smart. >> on friday someone tore out the pages of a koran and tossed them out their car while driving past the islamic center of davis. police are looking for suspects in both cases. talk about a change of weather from last week to this week, right? >> this winter we were entering an epic heat wave and this week it looks like things are pretty nice. how nice will it be, mike? >> a little like fall, maybe spring. you can see it bouncing around on those cool breezes. it's to be cooler than average today and again on tuesday.

people on board an airasia flight over the weekend may think twice about ever getting on a plane again. the pilot told them to say a prayer when the plane's engine started having trouble midair. a lot of sighs there from passengers. you're looking at a video shot by a passenger. the trouble started abou an hour and a half after the plane to off from australia yesterday. the pilot turned around an hour and a half later and safely landed in perth. the pilot hasn't said what caused the engine to shake. some of the warriors are hoping to add more metal to their hardware today. the fan vote, kevin durant is voted for best playoff moment for that right there. klay thompson is nominated for

performance of the year. the nba awards are chosen by a global panel of sportswriters and broadcasters. the warriors were well represented at the pride parade in new york city. an estimated 2 million people turned out to watch yesterday's parade. warriors president and chief operating officer rick weltz rode on the float as well as other officials. the warriors provided this video of the event. the nba float was one of 120 floats taking part in the parade along with 47,000 marchers. let's talk about what's going to happen as far as our temperatures. we're going to be anywhere from about 3 to 7 degrees cooler than average. so the heat climaxed last week. today it's going to be a little bit nicer. if you're into the giants game, the mets are in town and the temperature at 7:15 is 61 degrees. we'll bottom out at about 58 degrees at 10:15. it's going to be breezy with
