tailgating here just outside the stadium. this is a huge rivalry. earthquakes verses the l.a. galaxy and this year may want to make sure an offensive chance by fans does not make it into tonight's game. as fans show up, security teams from the earthquakes making sure there is no unsportsmanlike conduct in the stands. a homophobic chance was repeated many times in spanish. they say that slur has no lace in the game. security teams will be in the stands to educate fans who say it. >> people don't know what they're saying is offensive. and so that one sunl usually 99% of the time will get people to stop.

the family of survon wilson jr. spoke about the violent crash and his possible role in the crash. kate larsson is live in highland hospital in oakland. >> reporter: well, he is a person of interest in that deadly hit and run that left two young boys dead and two other people injured. the alameda county sheriff's office arrived here just before noon. he's also being treated for unknown injuries. i spoke to his family who tell me they're looking for more answers about his condition and the chp's investigation. >> me and my husband send our condolences and prayers out the family. >> she says she took her husband to highland hospital in oakland this morning. >> he told himself into a local hospital. >> and he told them what had

happened. >> reporter: the chp say he is the number one person of interest in a deadly hit and run crash that killed a 5 and 10-year-old boy, injured a t t e month old baby and her daughter. they say they have evidence connecting wilson to the infinity which drove off state route 4 in concord and hit the derango. >> infinity comes across at such a speed. strikes the derango head on, catastrophic damage. the infinity launches up over our heads and lands back ohere. that's probably close to 100 feet from the collision impact point and that driver immediately flees the scene from eye witnesses. >> the driver got out of the car, caught up and bleeding and ran away across the highway. i ask the wilson family if

they say the officer called off the pursuit because of the driver's speed. the driver was pronounced dead at the scene. no one else was in the car. fireworks may be to blame for a house fire in san jose. crews responded to a house on fire at about 2:15 a.m. the flames were visible from a half mile away. a number of trees also caught fire. it took crews about a half hour to stop that fire from spreading to a second home. >> we called for a second alarm early on. but we found it was isolated to the primary house and the vegetation. then we kept the second alarm coming but most of the second -- >> investigators are interviewing neighbors who reported hearing fireworks before the blaze. the red cross is helping 10 people including four children burned out of the home. police in san mateo are cracking

. the body of a southern california boy was found near a santa barbara county lake. that tops our look at news around the state tonight. the it boy's father was charged with murder last week. 5-year-old was last seen april 21st the next day. senior was found unconscious in a pasadena park. they say he killed his son because of divorce proceedings with his estranged wife. california could become a sanctuary state. it would prevent local law

enforcement from cooperating with federal officers in marijuana investigates. it would protect legal businesses from being targeted. >> it would certainly protect potential businesses operating illegally or that may be doing some legitimate business under california law but also engaging in other activities illegal under federal law or state law. >> local law enforcement would be able to investigate illegal activity in the state. there are new details on the massive land slide along the central coast. since it happened in southern monterey county a quarter mile sek section of the highway is covered in dirt and rocks. it's expanded the coast up from 13 just a month ago. highway one is still closed to traffic until they can determine the area is safe again.

at this hour. it will get cloudy overnight but the weekend is looking really nice. maybe drizzle along the coastline. lots of afternoon sunshine. your ocean water temperature, 55 degrees. you don't see many people in the ocean water right now. if you're headed to tahoe, lots of sunshine and on the mild side. average high is 77. a lot of spots will be in the low 80s. fourth of july on tuesday. we'll see a lot of sunshine away from the coast throughout the day. but you notice as you start to set off fireworks around the bay by 10:00 that fog is going to be with us around the bay and on our coastlines. but something will be tracking for you but visibility likely going to be an issue this time of year for a lot of fireworks. let's plan the next seven days for you. it's a breezy day once again tomorrow afternoon. very similar to the winds we have right now.
