melania arrived in paris overnight. mr. trump will be the guest of honor at a bastille day parade to mark the 100th anniversary of america's entry into world war i. the president and the french president are holding a joint news conference this morning. abc will carry it live at 9:15. right now, coming into our live desk, a major update from los angeles after part of the ucla campus was evacuated due to a bomb threat phoned in to the school. this morning, students are back inside their dorm rooms. they were allowed back in around 12:20 this morning. the threat was at the recreation center on campus. turned out to be nothing, but it's surrounded by dozens of dorms, so take a look. hundreds of students spent more than two hours evacuated inside the drake stadium. the students living on campus while summer classes are in session. >> thank you. happening today, a bay area tennis coach accused of molesting students is due in

court. he was arrested on monday. police say he molested two teenage boys for years during private lessons add his home. police are looking for potential more victims. he was charged with molesting students in 2006 while a tennis coach. that case resulted in a hung jury. >> nowo the skaters and officers. san francisco police now combing through loads of cell phone video and police body camera footage to determine exactly what happened there. leslie brinkley has more on that. >> reporter: this happened tuesday night as skateboarders sped downhill in these unpermitted street races at dolores park. that's the editor of a skateboarding magazine who ended up needing staples in his head. police say emergency crews couldn't get through to help him. witnesses called police, complaining of skateboarders grabbing on to cars for a lift up the hill. when officers arrived, they say

the crowd started throwing things at them. this witness saw them hurling cans of red bull and food but thought the riot gear was excessive. >> i saw skateboarders going down the sidewalk and the street, and they were just having fun, screaming, hollering, and laughing, and just cheering each other on. >> it's unlawful to prevent medical personnel from responding to the scene, especially if someone needs medical attention. it's unlawful to travel down the street in the wrong direction of traffic. there were bottled thrown at officers, skateboards thrown at the patrol cars to break the windows. >> then later, there is this video. a skateboarder colliding with an officer and then flipping over the patrol car. both were hurt. the officer with shoulder injuries, the injured skateboarding left without giving a statement. some criticized the officer on social media for appearing to put his elbow in front of the speeding skateboarder. >> there's a lot of information out there that we need to look

at, a lot of videos as well as body cam videos we need to sort through. >> i found the video somewhat disturbing. >> although there were no arrests, the clash came up at the police meeting. the investigation into the clash is just ramping up. in san francisco, leslie brinkley, abc 7 news. >> a lawyer is taking matters into her own hands to get justice for the families who lost loved ones in oakland's ghost ship fire. she's searching through the charred rubble looking for new evidence to help their case in the lawsuit. tons of debris from last december's inferno was transported to a lot, and a second location as well, a hangar at oakland international. it has sat virtually untouched ever since. yesterday, the attorney and her crew of experts began sifting through the debris for the first time. her team will also search the airport hangar. >> we're looking for any electrical wiring. we're looking for cameras that may have some photos on them.

>> alexander is the lead attorney representing the families of 31 of the 36 people who died in the fire. she says the search will probably last the rest of the week. >> san francisco's planning commission will consider a proposal today by former oakland mayor jean kwan and her husband to open a medcon marijuana dispensary. kwan and her husband want to open the dispensary, traditional chinese medicine clining at 32nd and noriega. she's been a long time advocate of medical marijuana. >> happening today, b.a.r.t.'s board of dretters will be hoekting a meeting in san francisco. officials say they want board members to understand passenger safety challenges facing downtown san francisco stations especially with homelessness. it will be accompanied by b.a.r.t.'s police chief for a walkthrough of the station at 9:30 this morning. good morning again. let's open up the window on the east bay hills.

look at the cloud cover out there. a little thicker, a little more widespread than it has been the last couple days. caution at our beaches if you're heading that way. dangerous waves continue. we still have that beach hazard statement for the rip currents. it will be breezy north of the bay bridge this afternoon. so a little different than yesterday. and extreme sunshine if you're out there exercising. let's look at the temperatures. we'll start in san francisco where sunnyside is the cool spot at 51. a lot of 53s. potrero hill, ocean beach, and if you're coming to the ferry building. 53 in richmond. 52 in san leandro. santa clara, 55. walnut creek, 61. healdsburg, 51. check out the temperatures in livermore. almost averag today. 8:00, 64. noon, 82. we'll hang out in the upper 80s through the afternoon. back down to 74 by 8:00. san jose, average high, 83. you'll be at 79 at 12:00. low 80s throughout the afternoon hours and back to 70 by 8:00. let's take a quick look at our

temperatures today. it will look a lot like yesterday. i think everybody has been happy. we'll be seasonal once more tomorrow and the heat is on saturday. the rest of the hot weekend forecast coming up. first, i want find out if there are hot spots for the early morning commute. >> yes, there is, and of course, out of the central valley. tracy drivers never have it easy. unfortunately, we have new issue slowing you down more. westbound 580, just past grant line road, a disabled vehicle. sitting with its hazards on in the left or left center lane. we do have a crew on the way to the scene there. they're trying to get a tow truck out there as well, but it sounds like it could be a while. that's not great if you're leaving the tracy area. so already backing up onto 205. on top of that, as you get into the dublin/pleasanton area, we have a two-car crash that has made it off to the shoulder. we'll see what that's doing to the drive times. >> the search for four missing men takes a disturbing twist.

investigators are now looking into homicide charges in connection with the mysterious disappearance of four young men near philadelphia. we want to bring you a live lack at bucks county, pennsylvania, where the fbi is leading the case. investigators have found at least one set of human remains. here's abc news reporter janay norman. >> those four young men disappeared last week, and investigators announced they rearrested the person of interest who could soon be facing even more charges. a grisly twist in the mysterious case of four young men who vanished near philadelphia. overnight, investigators announcing they found at least one of them. >> very, very sad to say that we can now identify dean, 19 years old, of middletown, as one of the people that was found buried in that grave. >> the person of interest, 20-year-old cosmo dinardo,

posted bail on an unrelated weapons charge and was out of jail less than 24 hours before he was rearrested. he was charged with stealing and trying to sell 21-year-old thomas meo's car after authorities found the car in a garage on dinardo's family property with meo's diabetes medication still inside. meo, 19-year-old jimmy patrick, 22-year-old mark sturgis, and 19-year-old dean finocchiaro all disappeared last week and the search continues for three of them. investigators have been combing through the family's farm for days, sifting through soil, digging up concrete, and using a backhoe to search a roughly 90 acre area, even bricking in cadaver dogs before making the horrifying discovery. a judge set the bail at $5 million cash, saying it must be paid in full, and calling it the highest bail she's ever set. janay norman, abc news, washington. interesting news from united airlines. it's launching a new program to

revamp how it handled overbooked flights. united's image took quite a hit after this video went viral of a kentucky doctor being dragged off an overbooked flight. now, the company is launching what it calls flex scheduling. here's how it would work. if looks like a flight is overbooked, the airline will send you the passenger an e-mail up to five days before you flight. and there will be offering you a $250 voucher if you're willing to have your itinerary tweaked. this might mean catching an earlier or later flight. if you accept it, you'll be rebooked in 24 hours. united expects the idea will fly with leisure travelers more than business travelers. >> san jose's geordawn station is testing new technology for travelers. they have developed a guide that connects to the clouds, smartphones and other devices. it estimates how far away a person is from where they have to board their train. it alerts them when they have reached their destination.

the goal is to make it less confusing for seniors and people with disabilities. it can also help people know if their loved one has strayed from where they're supposed to be going. >> the union of concerned scientists is out with new showing concern for where the water will rise and when. the news is pretty alarming. especially if you live in alameda. >> by the end of the century, with a high scenario, alameda could see nearly 60% of its usable land chronically inundated, which means it would be flooding on average every other week. >> east palo alto is also in the crosshairs of climate change. researchers say the flooding we face will look like this. this is flooding produced by the king tides that hit marin in the winter. >> the monte rio beach on the russian river is open again. tests yesterday showed reduced levels of e. coli bacteria.

in the afternoon to 11:00 in the evening. east of the golden gate, north of the bay bridge, through the delta. let's see what it does to our temperatures. not much of a change in the south bay. the closer you are to the water, a little cooler. san jose, 83. morgan hill and gilroy, 88. santa cruz, 74. on the peninsula, we'll start at 70 in millbrae, end up with 80 in redwood city. most of us in the mid to upper 70s. temperatures along the coast, 59 to 62. not quite as warm as yesterday and a little more cloud cover. 66 in downtown san francisco. through the north bay, how about 81 to 86, our temperature spread, with 92 in cloverdale. along the east bay shore, 71 at richmond. oakland, 78. fremont at 79. as you move inland, temperature 87 in san ramon to brentwood at 93. we'll do more of the same tomorrow, but look at that heat hanging around for the weekend. then once the weekend is over, the heat kind of shuts off. peculiar. here's alexis. >> good swimming pool weather, i guess. taking a look at the roads. we have one new issue in tapeh

county. unfortunately, a flipped big rig on northbound state route 29. just happened a few minutes ago. emergency crews are arriving on the scene, but both northbound lanes are blocked. not sure if vehicles are able to get by in the shoulder or swing over and use the southbound lanes but i'll have more information as soon as we get it in from chp. also really heavy out of tracy. westbound 580, tracy to dublin, 1:09. that is rough. it looks like that disabled vehicle near grant line road may have cleared. southbound 680, about 15 minutes. northbound 85, looking good between 101 and cupertino in the green at 15 minutes. san francisco taking a big step to make sure thousands of senior citizens don't go hungry in the face of federal budget cuts. mayor ed lee is earmarking nearly $20 million to food delivery programs. the money will give a big boost to charities like meals on wheels which prepare and deliver almost 2 million meals a year. many are given to seniors who live alone and would not be able

to stay in their homes without the help. >> this is, i think, at the heart of what we're supposed to do as public servants. i'm glad to do it with an organization like meals on wheels to gets to spread happiness all over our city and do it the right ways. >> besides meals on wheels, the city money will also help other groups such as hefl-help for the elderly and jewish family services. >> two tiny critters survived plunging to the ground when the tree they were in fell to the ground. it narrowly missed a home. one of our colleagues spotted these baby squirrels seconds before a backhoe nearly ran them over. two neighbors swoomed in and wrapped the tiny road nlts in a t-shirt. >> just trying to protect them from the sun and trying to keep them safe and quiet. so they don't get nervous. >> the neighbors took the squirrels to the lindsey wildlife experience in walnut creek where they're going to be cared for. an arborist said a weak part of the tree broke off from the main

welcome back. an fda panel is recommendic approval of the first gene therapy in the u.s. an entirely new way of treating cancer. it does not involve chemo. the process involves taking t-cells out of the body which are genetically engineered and placed back in the bod re. emily had leukemia that the come back and told she had no other treatment options. she's now in remission and doing well. this was provided by philadelphia childrens hospital. a final vote is expected in the next few months. >> if you find parking a pain, you're definitely not alone and you're not overreacting. a new survey ranks san francisco as the third worst big city to find parking. drivers here spend an average of 83 hours per year looking for a spot. that costs them more than $1700 in wasted time and fuel.

so who's worse? you can probably guess. new york and l.a., the only other big cities where it takes longer and costs more. what makes it worse, drivers overpay for parking by $404 per year to avoid tickets. two thirds of drivers surveyed say trying to find parking stresses them out. a third have even given up on a trip because of parking problems. >> a bill to name an official state dinosaur has made it through another committee meeting. take a look. i volt we call him amo for short. that's a mouthful. fossils of this dinosaur have been found only in california. the bill is working its way through the senate now. seven other states, by the way, as well as the district of columbia, have official dinosaurs. >> great. san francisco's botanical garden will become more magical over the next week and a half.

flower piano returns starting today for the third straight year. 12 pianos are nestled throughout the garden. it's 55 acres in golden gate park, and anyone can step up and play. admission is free for members and san francisco residents. it costs $8 for nonresidents. pianos are available to play every day between 9: cloo:00 a. 6:00 p.m. okay, reggie. london bridge is the only one i can play on the peonio. you're not alone there. we have quite a bit going on on the roads. northbound state route 29, we have a flipped big rig. that tractor trailer is on its side now. we do know we have an ambulance en route there. tow truck on the way. they're seeing if they possibly need two tow trucks. we did have a bit of a backup last time we checked. right now, it looks like some of the vehicles have gotten
