minute. it does look like we're seeing a little bit of a dilay near that interchange so i don't think they're quite done yet but they should be very soon. the drive times, so far that work not impacting 680 highway 4 to walnut creek 6 minutes, walnut creek to highway 13, nine minutes, and tracy to dublin you're in the yellow at 39 minutes. we have one collision on the peninsula we'll check on that next. new this morning, president trump unleech a harsh new attack on his embattled attorney general calling for a new investigation on hillary clinton. he said attorney general receive jegss has taken a weak position on hillary clinton crimes. where are e-mails and dnc server and intel leakers? according to ap, president trump has spoken with advisers about firing the attorney general. sessions had actually offered to resign in may when the president first exploded on him for his decision to recuse himself from all matters relate to the russia investigation.

abandoned him in a parking lot. they say he left the baby in a baby carrier at the sunset shopping center yet yesterday afternoon. some barber shop workers found the baby and called police. a short time later police arrested 18-year-old daniel mitchell for child endangerment, child abandonment and possession of cocaine. amy homilyfield is going to show you the brand new surveillance video plus what witnesses describe. firefighters are crediting cooler weather with helping slow a wide fire. this morning it the detwiler fire is 60% contained. firefighters are trying to beat and unexpected warm-up to get the fire surrounded. sunnyvale's department of public safety tweeted these pictures of its crew helping people living in the fire area. they've now returned home along with teams from france and assistant an clair are that were helping. meanwhile up north in yuba punty a fast-moving grass fire

destroyed two homes and burned 40 acres ed yesterday. this morning cal fire says it's still looking into the cause. firefighters initially thought it was an elderly man who was hurt in the fire but they now say he had res spir raer to problems, had trouble breathing while he was evacuating. it's not exactly due to the fire. if your morning commute includes a bus ride you may notice new security upgrades. all golden gate transilt buses now have new cameras. they say it's part of a $900,000 project to replace 80 on so he lute camera systems. that new technology includes realtime streaming as well as remote downloads to view footage as needed. each bus has eight of these cameras on board. about 22,000 people ride gold earn gate transilt each weekday. another big concert in the bay area gets cancelled leaving ticket holders wondering if they have to fight fight to get their money back. >> this time it's hall and oats, just a few days ago it was

problems but we did just have somebody get a flat thier had to be pushed off to the side. briefly had the left lane blocked west bountd bound 4 and some stop and go photographic from the pirtsberg area. and the the metering lights were sflipd on on the bay bridge. no serious delays through the maze. we'll take a look at drive times coming up in less than ten. thank you. we begin this half hour with new details in the case of a newborn baby left abandoned at a north bay shopping center. there's new surveillance video showing the bay's 18-year-old father leaving the scene. >> abc 7 news reporter amy hollyfield lye at the sunset shping center with these new 'em inches and an update on that child. amy. >> reporter: let's get right to that surveillance video that came from the barber shop you see behind me here in sa soon siddio. on the video you can see a man leaving a car see the in the parking lot of the shopping center. witnesses watched the whole thing and after the man drove away they ran out to check

inside the car seat where they found an infant. they say the baby was calm, he wasn't crying, but the witnesses were pretty worked up. they couldn't quite believe what they had seen. >> he just put the baby on the side, he wait there for five, ten minutes, saw if somebody's a round and just pulled out. >> we're just shocked because it's a newborn baby, like, you know, plus the way people pull into the smoke show could have got hit by anybody. >> reporter: police arrested the baby's father, 18-year-old daniel mitchell of fairfield. police say he was involved in a hit-and-run crash in fairfield while they were still on the scene in sa soon city. he was taken to the hospital. that's where he wassed have and arrested. they have also talked to the baby's mother. they say she is not considered a suspect. the baby appeared fine when he was in the parking lot but after some testing at the hospital it was determined he has a medical condition that he is now being treated for and is listed in critical but stable condition.

reporting live, amy hoel holly field, abc 7 news. thank you. now to the car wreck was that live streamed on instagram involving two cysters from stockton. the parents of the drivers say she needs help. her 14-year-old sister jacquelin sanchez died in friday's crash. she and her friend were sitting in the backseat when her older sister obdulia sanchez was driving and as you can see live streaming on her phone. obdulia lost control of the car, it rolled into a barbed wire fence and ended you up in a field near los banos. the girls in the back were not wearing their seatbelts so they got ejected through the window. obdulia's parents have not spoken to her, but they have seen the video. >> when i feel that she feel bad about herself kill her sister. >> obdulia is in jail on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter and driving under the influence.

she's refusing to talk to chp investigators. in politics, republican senators hope an unexpected appearance by john mccain today will provide enough momentum to provide enough momentum to replace obama obamacare. they plan to open debate on the bill, it's not a vote on the bill itself just on opening that dialogue. senator mccain's vote is necessary, though, because republicans can only afford two deinfections. president trump is trying to ramp up the pressure. >> any senator who are votes against starting debate is telling america that you are fine with the obamacare nightmare which is what it is. >> it wasn't just those comments. in a tweet this morning the president said it's time for republicans to step up to the plate and repeal and replace obamacare. and that healthcare debate has led to several protests across the country. today the chinese progressive association will rally at france general hospital to call for guaranteed healthcare for all in california.

story. happening today, a woman accused of stab a man to death is expected in court. mia smith is going to be arraigned on homicide charges. police say she killed her partner at their home on myrtle road saturday night. they say the couple was engaged at one point. police have not said what led to that stabbing. the developer of the oakland build tlag was destroyed by a huge fire earlier this month plans to rebuild. our media partner the east bay times reports anderson druks construction will start removing debray from the waverley site on valdez street. they expect to complete construction in 2019. 700 residents w displaced in that july 7th fire. the cause has not yet been determined. happening today, an ordnance to name an sfo terminal after harvey milk will be presented to supervisor. he was the first openly gay person to be elected to public office in california when he bake a supervisor in 1977. he was assassinated a year later by dan white. the ordnance has the recommendation of the airport

that's probably sound advice, but this time it's going to cost you a lot more at two of the world's biggest hotel chains because starting next monday hilton hotels and resorts will fine people who cancel within 48 hours of their reservation, which say big difference from their previous policy of 24 hours. that's an extra day. customers will lose the price of one night's rental. the new policy only applies to hilton managed hotels, not the franchised ones. marriott international adopted the 48-hour cancellation policy last month. so a heads up there. more than 500 cafeteria workers at facebook have voted to join a run on. the workers who are inside facebook but are contracted out by flagship facility services calling for increased wages and more affordable health benefits. they join other cafeteria workers at several other tech companies as members of united here local 19. >> hour hope is that these workers can be able to go home to their families in the afternoon, they can do homework with their daughters and sons, that they can go to baseball

we're in the green there as well. just got good news for one of our only crashes this morning on the peninsula we'll look at that coming up at 6:00. california is paving the way for self-driving cars and you're going to start seeing the changes by the end of summer. now, it turns out many self-driving cars have difficulty following thin or dotted lane lines and that's obviously a problem. socal transofficials say new lane lines will grow from the current four to six inches in width. this the help both autonomous vehicles and the rest of us. >> not other they're going to be wider but they'll be more retro reflective. they're going to be reflecting back the light that's shown on.
