tonight new cell phone video shows the chaos inside a cabin moments after a 17-year-old jumped from an emergency exit and on to the tarmac at sfo. >> the plane took off from panama city panama this morning and landed safely at sfo but that's when the 17-year-old jumped out of the emergency exit as the plane was making its way to the gate. >> >> reporter: the boy was traveling alone and is a u.s. citizen. airport officials say he was not seriously hurt but he is being evaluated at a hospital. >> he jumped off the plane. >> reporter: it was pure disbelief and coppa flight 208. >> we saw him slide off the wing and hitting the ground running.

>> reporter: you can hear the surprise in the pilot's voice. >> we have an overwing exit that is open and a passenger get off from the wing. >> reporter: the boy was tackled and detained by construction crews until authorities arrived. coppa airlines is cooperating with investigators. a dozen officers and agents boarded the plane after the plane reached the gate. the man seated next to the teenager was taken off the plane and questioned him. >> they were surprised when he jumped. i don't think he was giving too many warning signs. >> reporter: the boy seemed anxious throughout the flight. retired pilot insists jumping from an open emergency door while the plane is moving is beyond dangerous. >> they're big engines, they can suck up stuff in a hurry. >> reporter: authorities have not specified which charges if

killed by a car after being boarded by a kennel. her owner is still waiting for answers. >> like your new toy? >> reporter: jessica campbell can't stop watching videos of her dog. she found derty dog canine retreat. >> we got a call she had escaped. and as you can imagine our hearts just dropped. >> reporter: the kennel staffers say she jumped a fence and took off. campbell drove to help search but no one at the facility seemed concerned so she made an appeal on facebook to help find her dog. someone did monday morning. >> she had been hit by a car. and she passed away. >> reporter: last year another dog named bella escaped from the same kennel and was tossed or fell from a bridge.

she was badly injury but alive. at the time the kennel denied responsibility. >> i'm making this post to let everyone know what happened. >> reporter: the owner denied our request for an interview but addressed his critics in a facebook live post. he says she tried searching for henny. >> now this has happened i'm planning on redoing the fence on the backside of my property. this is -- this is my worst nightmare coming true. >> why don't you answer questions for us? our dog is dead and you have nothing to say to us but you have everything to say to the world is this. >> reporter: campbell received a refund from the kennel and has hired an attorney. cornell barnard, abc 7 news. >> tell us what is happening where you live by e-mailing us. we would love to hear from you. a man suspected of shooting

two sheriff's deputies has been found dead. this happened in the town of oregon house. the deputies responded to reports of an armed man pulling marijuana plants out of the church garden. they followed the man to a home where the man opened fire. the deputies were hit but returned fire. the sheriff says that it appears the suspect was killed in the gunfire exchange. a police chase ended abruptly when this car slammed through the front of a house. three men lost control of the vehicle. the suspects may be connected to a string of burglaries in fremont. there were three yesterday and one attempted burglary today which started that police chase. new at 11:00, a just released report accuses president trump of calling the white house a dump. a report on golf.com says that

the president was chatting with members of his new jersey golf club. he makes so many trips to the new jersey property because that white house is a real dump. the trump administration is denying that report. meanwhile there are changing stories from the white house about that now infamous trump tower meeting involving donald trump jr. and russians with ties to the kremlin. >> reporter: the white house admitting that president trump helped scratch his son's statement. >> the president weighed in as in father would based on the limited information he had. >> reporter: don junior claimed he and the russian lawyer discussed adoptions and it was not a campaign issue. then days later e-mails revealed that don junior agreed to the meeting because he was promised dirt on hillary clinton. for weeks president trump's attorney denied the president had any involvement with that original statement. >> the statement released on

saturday was released by donald trump jr. in consultation with his lawyers. >> reporter: but sources revealing that the president dictated the statement himself. the "washington post" reporting president trump ignored advice to be more transparent and truthful. >> he didn't dictate but it's you know, like i said, he weighed in and offered suggestion like any father would do. >> reporter: the white house and the president facing questions about his transparency. >> the president drafted a statement that is misleading that is a big problem for the white house. >> reporter: don junior's story changing when it comes to who was in that meeting. we learned about three more people also in the room. abc news, washington. a bay area police chief put away his uniform and reached for a swim suit. but it wasn't all fun and games. the serious message he had for

>> we are definitely in the right direction. >> reporter: as for national night out, it was a slam dunk. katie marzullo, abc 7 news. and folks in oakland held a national night out for safety and liberation as they called it. it focuses on affordable housing, education and jobs as a way to create public safety. it featured music, dance and poetry readings. a ride at great america was given the okay to reopen following the fatal malfunction at the ohio state fair. great america closed the ride as a precaution. it has been reopened after it passed all the required tests. but the fire ball ride will remain closed until inspectors finish more tests. that ride is manufactured by the same company that made the ohio

and you will be in the triple digits by 3:00 tomorrow afternoon. the heat will hang around. it will take a while before it starts to drop off. i know it's that time of year when we have to deal with the hot weather but in some places it will be excessive. there is some fog around. that fog is shallow. watch out during the commute neighbor rig maybe right down on the deck. we have fog around half-moon bay tomorrow afternoon temperatures will look like this. 60s coast side. nice and mild at the coast but inland having to deal with the heat. here's a look at the temperatures right now, in the 50s at the beaches all the way to the 70s inland. it's a beautiful view as we look all the way across the bay back toward san francisco. mild to warm inland. summer sizzle continues tomorrow and the heat eases by the end of

the week. overnight tonight we're going to see fog along the coast and high clouds from the south. tomorrow morning you won't see a lot of sun due to the combination of high clouds and fog. but once the clouds thin out there will be more sunshine out there but it will be filtered sun for wednesday afternoon. it will be a hot one. tomorrow morning warm in places like antioch, oakley. you will be in the 70s. 50s and 60s tomorrow afternoon. starting in the south bay, 101 in morgan hill. san jose, 90. on the peninsula, a warm day. upp upper 80s. downtown san francisco, 73 degrees. in the north bay, the high clouds filtering the sun but it will be feeling hotter because the clouds are coming in from the south. it will feel more humid. 94 in santa rosa.
