>> operation cold day with a fog hanging over the city. they went door to door executing those search and arrest warrants. it all started at 7:00 this morning. our media partners posted this video from a twitter user. it shows a team of federal agents and police being transported to different parts of the bay area. most of the operation went down in san francisco. this was one of the locations. the housing dwome ining develop sun sunnydale district where some 17 search warrants were executed. we saw two people in custody. sources with knowledge of the operation tell us the lead agency was the atf and they started the investigation more than a year ago. today was d day. the day they swept in and made the arrests. one of our sources told us the targets were quote really bad

dudes. federal agents and police had more than 100 arrest warrants and executed over 30 search warrants. the investigation focused on guns, stolen cars, fences for stolen property. we don't know how many targets were arrested in today's operation. the san francisco d.a.'s office issued a statement confirming that there was an operation. it will go on for a couple of weeks for suspect who is alluded them today. the atf hopes to put a real dent in the trafficking of illegal guns here in the bay area. one footnote, the federal agency i.c.e. was not involved in today's operation. vic lee, abc 7 news.

one person is recovering from minor injuries. firefighters tell us a car parked inside the building was damaged by this morning's impact. a concord man is charged with setting last week's fire bo above the uc berkeley campus. police arrested him after a series of events last thursday. before the fire began, officers believed he was involved in a road rage incident intentionally ramming into a car and threatening the people inside with a rifle. he was later found near the fire and admitted to police that he started it. last wednesday's fire bcrdneur peak boulevard. a firefighter is recovering after falling about 50 feet. on this tuesday live doppler 7 along with satellite showing you the clover just hugging the coat right n coast right now. part of the reason why the

the phone to give us a little more information on what happened and we hear everyone is okay. is that correct? >> that is correct. there were no injuries and nobody was home at the time of the accident. >> that is a relief. >> i was going to say what happened? obviously there's some balance issue here. >> that's what it appears to be. about noon today the crane was out at the address replacing a power pole that was in the backyard. during the repair the crane tipped over and caused the damage that you can see. the crews are out there and the company is investigating how this happened. >> what's it going to take this all cleared up and get that up right? >> the initial reports are that it's going to take quite a few hours. the crane was extended out about 200 feet. it's quite an operation to get that up right without causing any other damage or injuries.

>> captain, do you need another crane in order to lift the crane that fell down? is that what has to happen here? >> that's what the crane company is looking into. i don't have specific details how they will do that. they are currently working on the solution. >> anything people in the neighborhood, anywhere they need to call or anything if they are having trouble getting access in there? >> there are area where is the road is blocked but crews are out there that can give directions to residents that need to get into the area. >> are there any power outages given it was a power pole being replaced? does everybody has electricity? what's the situation? >> power was shut off in that area prior to the accident. the information we have right now is that the power is continuing to be turned off until the repairs can be made and the crane safely taken out. >> do we have any homes affected

this year airlines have very publicly dealt with an industry wide customer service crisis. today one san francisco tech company announced a partnership it hopes will put an end to the problem starting with one airline. abc 7 news reporter kate larsen sla sla explains. >> reporter: the ceo of gladly demonstrating how their software is meant to bring the customer service experience into the 21st century. >> the idea is to enable companies to know who you are as a customer and a single place to have all the communications with them. >> reporter: gladly and jet blue announced partnership. the airline invested in gladly and will use their software to bring all forms of communication onto one platform. the jet blue customer service employees will use to streamline their process. >> say you start with a

and said my brother been shot. >> reporter: he arrived at the scene with several other family members. this is his brother, 57-year-old hu lee better known as charlie lee. he's a husband, father of four sons, a long time san jose residents and small business owner. today he's san jose's most recent homicide victim. charlie and his wife were working the store together last night. >> my brother feel a bit tired and he laid on the floor. his wife stand there and the guy came over put the mask on and asked her to open t cash register and give the money. >> reporter: charlie lee has owned the store for more than a decade and worked long hours. he's been robbed before and known for chasing off wannabe shoplifters. the armed, masked man pull the trigg trigger. >> he stand up. he said no and the guy shot him.

doesn't exist. they started showing up. it doesn't look like a deer and looks too much like a deer to be a camel. >> one expert believes it's a super rare micro moose. volunteers sent tens of thousands of images that will be used by scientists. >> if you know what he is, write them. airlines have been in the spotlight for bumping passengers off of overbooked flights. >> new data shows that it's actually not happening that often. michael finney has the new details. >> us bumping people. we would never do such a thing.

the number of passengers bumped off fliegs have plummeted. the department of transportation says airlines are bumping passengers at the lowest rate since recordkeeping began back in 1995. a big drop happened after the incident this april when a 69-year-old passenger was forcibly removed from an overbooked flight. he suffered bloody cuts and broken teeth. you have seen the pictures a bunch of times. others captured the incident with cell phone. video went viral causing a wide spread out rage and inspired friendlier airline policies for denied boarding. only 52 passengers per one million were bumped from u.s. flights in the first half of this year. since the april incident, just 44 per million were denied boarding. united reported a more dramatic

decline. in may just 61 passengers were bumped. if you lose your debit card it's terrifying enough. chase base is tightening the process. chase will no longer let customers walk into a branch to instantly obtain a new card. the easy fix was allowing too much fraud. the bank says scammers were using fake ids to pose as customers, obtain new credit cards, new cards and drain the customer's bank accounts. under the new system chase will generate a new card and mail it to the customer's address on file. you may stop one scam but another is always rearing up. the federal trade commission says watch out for imposters claiming you won a government grant. the ftc says the scammers are pretending to call from the national institute of health. they were slelected to receive 14,000 grant. they tell victims the pay with

hunt. you go from bush to bush and i realize how far up the hillside they went. >> reporter: theeds are the pictu -- these are the pictures he took. >> they are all in these neat collectible sleeves. i don't know what to call them. >> reporter: it took him nearly 2 hours to pick up some 2,000 cards. >> about quarter mile. >> reporter: the cards are mostly from the early 1990s. some loose. others in plastic sleeves. his wife and son helped clean the road grime off the collection. >> i was thinking gross. it's dirty. it's all over my kitchen. it was neat to be able to look through them. >> reporter: randy isn't much into baseball card himself. at this point he just wants to do the right thing and return all of this to its rightful owner. >> you realize there's probably much more of a personal value than financial. somebody's going to miss this.
