good evening. the raiders kick off a preseason saturday night in arizona, with donald pence still holding out, don't expect to see much of quarterback derek carr if at all. the head coach would not commit to playing carr today. last season seth roberts played in all 16 games, caught 38 passes, 397 yards, five touchdowns, all with a double sports hernia he suffered in training camp. he never told anybody. players concealing injuries to keep their jobs is nothing new, but roberts was somehow to participate in every practice and play in all the games. like you and me, the rest of us, jack del rio just found about it this week. >> it was news to me. i said, really? i said, really? he said, yeah, i didn't tell

you. i said, who did you tell? he said, i didn't tell anybody. that's your right. you didn't miss any practice. he said, nope. i certainly appreciate guys that find a way to gut it out for their team and their teammates. i would like them to report anything they have. but i respect his decision to keep it to himself and just play. >> roberts made big catches last year. the niners opened the preseason tomorrow in kansas city. usually the starters play about a quarter at most. that means we should see a fair amount of the backup quarterback whom the niners selected in the draft in the third round. >> i'm excited to get back out on the field. it feels like forever since i've gotten some live work in, since the end of last season. >> fresh start for everybody. front office, coaching staff, players, bunch of new faces. i think this place is trying to build a new culture. new attitude here. >> get ready for another christmas with lebron. the nba released a few dates on the 2017-2018 schedule.
